No, it is an RB1 it still had the cosworth V10. Webber and one of RedBull's reserve drivers were driving the RB1 and only Adrian Newey was driving the RB5

You guys missed one thing in the E3 trailer... watch the end VERY carefully... the trailer ends with a shot of a wind tunnel or some sort, those of you with sharp eyes will be able to make out that in the foreground every so slightly lit up is an 09/10 F1 car, you can clearly see and tell the cockpit outline.

Everyone has already seen it so what's your point? Also, its a Autoclave, not a Windtunnel.

I've looked at the end of that video dozens of times but I still can't see anything that resembles an F1 car. :guilty:

This is an autoclave:

That's what was shown in the trailer, you can see a man closing the door right before that shot. Inside is a F1 carbon fiber chassis.

I can't quote from my phone, but the picture above isn't an RB1...and it looks nothing like an RB6 at all. It clearly looks like an RB5 with the exception of a few decals that I don't recall being there (Where it says Total on the front wing, I believe it just said Red Bull...).

In fairness though, I didn't read the article you got that picture from and maybe that is what it said, but I think its wrong... Also Adrian Newey was given an RB5 from Red Bull as a thanks and I believe he drove it at the Feat so I might go as far to say that the picture above is actually Newey in his own personal RB5 which is kind of cool!

The number on the Red Bull would make it an RB5, and most likely as said above, it is Newey's personal RB5.

Its an RB1 - look at the engine exhausts. It also has the very high rain light underneath the rear wing.

You can also see the slight lip of the floor before the rear wheel - which is part of the pre-2009 designs helping airflow over the wheels.

From the Red Bull Racing F1 image databank, so it is a RB1.

I think It would only make sense to include more f1 cars from the 06-08 seasons. otherwise It would be pointless racing the ferrari f2007 against anything older than 06 or anything newer the 09 simply beacause the difference in performance would be to far apart..

The 2004 cars would make the 06-10 cars look soft
most of the fastest laps are set with them.

I'm pretty sure the laptimes are still very close to those 2004 records though. The pole position lap from last weeks Hockenheim race was only around 6 or 7 tenths off that from the 2004 race.

Pretty sure that this years cars are faster on a few tracks than the 2004 cars, in particular the Red bull at hungary this weekend, even though it could be argued that the Red Bull car is in a completely different league in comparison to the others.

Just found this on the japanese gt5 website as you can see it has pictures of F1 and it's official license name, but I cannot read japanese so we need someone who can to translate. By the way its from the apex collectors book

It would be excellent if More F1 cars are in the game. The idea of F1 events in the career mode makes me happy.

Wow, if that japenese writing talks about those being included in gran turismo, that would just be amazing. Although, Formula One would have to be last years cars I think.

There Is no reason that 2009 can't be In I talked about this before and I know that codemasters lost the rights for the 2009 season.

Yeah that's what I thought, but I wasn't certain. Seeing as though there is a picture of the Brawn GP car from last year then there is probably a good chance last season's cars could be in.

I just thought of one problem, GT5 only supports 16 cars on a track, and F1 had 20 last season.

well if nascar will have a full grid, i dont see why F1 cant?
It's never been said anywhere that we will have full NASCAR race grids.

seems they got the FULL 09 SEASON in with all cars?

can anyone speak Japanese?

As for that image, it's from the Apex book included in the Collectors and Signature Editions of GT5, which gives a run-down on motorsport in general, along with GT5. It's not saying GT5 will include all 2009 Formula One World Championship cars or anything along those lines.

Exactly, the race, where the driver is fueled up, and has to conserve his tires etc. You can't use the 2004 qualifying times either ot compare to 2010, because in 2004 they qualified on race fuel, unlike now, where they qualify on low fuel. The fact that the 2004 cars, fueled up in qualifying, are still faster than the low fueled 2010 cars at many tracks, shows how incredibly fast they would go light.

Except in 2004 the cars refuelled during the race, so would have set their fastest laps when they had little fuel left, practically the same as qualifying. The only difference is that their tyres would have done 15 or so more laps. The fact that F1 is finally getting quicker again is a positive one though, before the times were seconds off the pace of the 2004 cars. Some cars have set the outright pole position record as well this year by quite a few tenths.

Maybe you should check the way the drivers had to qualify in 2004 and keep in mind, that the current cars have SLICK tires.

No race car in the world is a match for the F2004 on F1 tracks ;)

The 2004 cars also had V10 engines. The cars definately aren't quicker, but they are catching up the 2004 cars and maybe next season we might be seeing times which are matching the records set back then.
