Wish I would have waited to do that seasonal...

Put the forcefeedback on 10, and oddly gained some kind of rythm.

I doubt I would have been hard to beat, the leaderboards were not very competitive compared to say a serious event like GT Academy. http://eu.gran-turismo.com/gb/products/gt5/event/d33501.html

My brother got picked who I entered a minute after entering myself, was gutted I didn't get picked instead as I could have had a good chance of winning and my brother does not even play the game so he was learning how to play for the first properly on the pods. Legard said for me to swap and pretend I'm him .

I met GTNurd, he either had the wrong settings on his car or talking crap about doing 1:09's on Comfort Softs with the SLS online in practice mode the night before the event.

DLC will be coming out soon too so that might be announced tomorrow so something else to look forward to.

I like the equal car thing too so you know it is only speed you have to find within yourself and not the car setup.

Not sure with Nurds time maybe just the way it was set up. I bet you were gutted I'd be proper jealous/a bit annoyed. Knowing that if you had gone first it would have been you, but always more opportunities :).

I thought the boards would have been really competitive tbh! Even so 2nd is still a great time :)! I look forward to competing with you on the next TT :).

As for the event might have another go tomorrow before my gym session if i get back from work early enough lol.

Can someone with a good time tell me what's their T1? Seen a couple of low 27s on my part, it should be good enough for 1:05.xxx right? :s
Anyways, 30 minute stint. 1:06.9xx
Plenty of time to be had + I'm still getting used to the wheel. Looking good.

Done in 1:16:356, i know a crap time, but for me its good, since i dont drive so well with F1 cars, done it on my 3rd attempt with DS3, got 7.500.000 CR from it 👍 A lot of fun driving it also.

OK, yesterday before reset I ran the Red Bull Special Event and received my 5 million credit. Today 6:30 pm EST USA -- Looked back at the Red Bull and it showed I hadn't run it. So, I ran the event again and because I have 200% bonus received 10 million credit today. I don't know what the deal is, but I'm not complaining --- just reporting

You're not the only one, it seems to be glitching. Unfortunately, it doesn't for me. :(

Well I reckon I might hang up the boots for this combo. It's funny actually that, during the last chicane of my current best lap of 1'03.365, my phone rang and the ringing volume was sufficiently high enough to completely mute the game, so I was driving deaf and I preceded to loose only 1 tenth of a second to that of my PB final sector;)

@Shumi, I have been chopping and changing from feedback 1 to feedback 10, and from amateur to simulation, all much of a muchness, the one thing I have yet to experiment with is ABS 0, which will probably be my last kitchen sink effort.

As far as I've been able to tell, it is repeatable. Log out, log back on. New session, awards new prizes.

But had some weirdness anyway . . . . Today I've seen it count 10,000,000, then logged out and back in, and got 2,000,000 for a bronze run, then I golded in that same session and got 8,000,000. This is all today. But I only have 13,000,000 credits and change. I didn't notice where I was when I started. I do know the 8 was on top of 5 and change, so the 13+ I have is correct from the 8. Dunno what happened to that first 10, though. I'm gonna go log back in and run a Silver, which being a new session should pay 5,000,000. We'll see.

EDIT. Nothin' happened, no credits available, prize levels ghosted as they should be when completed.

Damn, saw your time on the list, Im still spewing about the touchy handling, but then again, I am using the controller. :dopey:

First few runs, best I can do so far is 1:22, and thats with a few dodgy mistakes on the way... but hey, 2.5 mill credits for silver and gold is all good. :sly:

Well, after a snack and some time experimenting, I find that you can repeat this, but when you exit the money might not be there. If the money's gone, you can repeat. And you can spend it. Then it quits letting you repeat.

I golded it yesterday, then twice today, but I only have the money from one of those, luckily today's 200% payout. I logged in my brother's account (he keeps it here, doesn't have his own PS3, poor guy!) and golded it twice. First time, went from 8-something to 13-something. Exited, logged off, back on, money's not there, back to 8-something, but the trial is playable for credits. Golded it again, there's money. Exit, log out and back in, same thing, the money's gone, but the trial is playable. 3rd time I spent the money on an R92 and a Speed 8, then exited and logged out and back on. On restarting I find the money as I left it and the cars are still there, but the trial is not playable for credits.

Definitely some kind of glitch in there somewhere. It steals your money back but then lets you play again. Unless you spend it before you leave, then you're done, apparently.

And worst of all, as I was playing his account I got better and better, so now "he" outranks me significantly! Even though he himself hasn't stayed on the track past turn 3. . .

Great time Dan. Picked up GT5 again last night for the first time in literally 6 months and immediately was drawn to this combo for some reason. Got to a 1:03.9 so parked it after that. Was good fun though.

Posted a 1:12:836 after a few laps.... probably need to heat up the tires a bit to get a good run.... but yes, my goal of under 1:10 is looking good!!

EDIT: 1:10:815. dont know whether i should be bothered to keep trying...

Couldn't stay away from the time trial eh Maddy? ;)

Killing me how I can't update GT5 and actually put times in for this T_____T

Any thoughts on feroozGT's lap?
No replay, using the pad, and first?
I saw him climb the rankings from around 200th to 100th to 30th to 1st
In the space of an hour the day he set his time.

I saw him a few months ago in a time trial on Rome Reverse, he was first!!, his replay WAS available and he was smashing the barrier.

Then it's confirmed, he's a cheater, once a cheater always a cheater, getting a .1 normally would require a mega lap, my new best and current P3 is 1'03.324

He's a cheater in my book already by using Automatic and ABS.:sly:

No ABS, no TC, no other 'aids', manual, with a 1:05.228 using a DS3. Quite happy with that, 580th overall.👍

I think if I can get a perfect lap I can probably go around 0.5s quicker.

Most of the time I end up messing up laps because of the ghost car. In S1 I'm usually fractionally behind it so when I get into the esses I have this giant great big blue thing in my face which means I can barely see the apexes. Really annoying. Wish there was a way to turn it off.

And I'm pretty sure I'm losing time in Spoon, just doesn't feel like I've pushed the limit there yet.

I did mention it could be setup and also maybe SRF as I did a sighter lap before going to the event and thought maximum would be high 12s on Sports Hards let alone on Comfot Softs in the 9s. He did say he was faster than you since getting a wheel or something like that, is that true? I think he was talking some crap mixed up with maybe some selective facts, maybe because it was at night time and just come out of a bar / restaurant. It is gutting in that I'm a F1 fan and could have spoken to David and Martin in person if I did win. There were no GT Academy finalists, well apart from Maz at the event but he was not competing. I did get to speak to Legard and also get something signed by DC so happy with that.

The boards weren't as competitive due to it getting reset. The Japaense region was competitive though due to a prize and the first place lap globally by EDDSKILL was a phenomenal lap.

I will give this ago today, don't expect to beat you as you are the X2010 master on the DS3 and very fast with the wheel.

I did mention earlier on this thread that most of the trophies he got in GT5 was on the 31 December 0001 19:00:00 EST. His account is probably in danger of getting banned by going top spot if anyone at PD looks it up. Maybe he has found a way to modify the game.

Just improved, to a 1.05.073, so a tenth and a half quicker than before. :)

Still feel there is more time to be gotten :dunce:

You're not the only one, it seems to be glitching. Unfortunately, it doesn't for me. :(

After I spent part on a car -- when I quit and returned the cash was there but the event was not playable again. Still a 10 mill payout was pretty good.

Same here for my main account and my GTP account. I logged in today to find that both of them were missing 10m credits and both showed that I had not gotten gold. However, when I ran it again, it showed my previous best lap time from when I had gotten gold the day before. Very odd!

Adding confusion to this weird glitch, I had also gotten gold on my son's account and spent most of the 10m credits on new cars for him. So I was curious, how his account would look as he no longer had the 10m credits in his account. So I half expected that all the cars I had bought for him would also be gone - basically wiping out everything anyone did after doing the X1 TT.

When I logged in under my son's account it took twice as long for the GT menu to appear - so I figured something was not right. When it finally did, I noticed his credits had not changed, and all the cars I bought him with most of the 10m credits were still in his garage... but when I clicked on Special Events to see if it still showed that he had gotten gold, it again took a very long time for anything to happen after I clicked on the Special Event button, and instead of the special event menu, I only got a pop up message that said there were no special events?!?!?!?!

OK, so then I quit GT5 and restart, went back to the GT menu and this time when I clicked Special Events the proper menu came up, and his account still shows he got gold for the X1 TT event.

What ever glitch this is/was, it's certainly an odd one.

The good thing is that its an easy TT to get gold in so getting back the 10m for both my accounts wasn't a big deal, but I feel bad for those that may have had this glitch happen to them, and might not realize it until after this event ends, and thus will not have a chance to get back the 5-10m credits they thought they still had.

:ouch:

When you come out of the TT the auto saving feature is not working. Thats why people are getting payouts twice so they think, but for those that got the 200%, thats sweet!

If you got on gt5 did your stuff, whatever it is, played the TT, recieved the money and score, then left to the main screen and quit game from there, your game didnt save. The PS network saved your time and your system didnt.

Nicely spotted, Hope PD take his time down.
What an a$$ he is, cheating on such a short time trial

That's what it looked like to me. You had to do something else after running the TT before leaving the game, and it gets saved. Fortunately I didn't do that Monday, so I got double cash yesterday.

So it's not repeatable, but doesn't save if you don't do anything else after completing it, making it look repeatable (until you wonder where your cash is.)

While this is in no way suggesting this person cheated or not, it is important to know that even though it might look odd to see someone who has several trophies time stamped with the exact same date and time, there can be a legitimate explanation for this - as it has happened with me before.

I was at a friend's house and we got to talking about GT5, and he was telling me he has been trying to find the Pagani Zonda C12S in the UCD and it never shows up, so I told him I could simply send him one from my account. I added my account to his PS3, used the PS+ online game save option to download my game save. When I started up GT5 on his PS3, all the trophies I had unlocked before on my PS3 then got unlocked again. Had I synched my trophies from his PS3 those trophies would all show up as getting unlocked on the exact same date and time.

It is unlikely, but all I am saying is there can be a legitimate explanation regarding trophies with identical time stamping.

Loved this for one reason... 5.5 million credits for gold.

Also reminded me of my spec 2.0 gift. :p

Finished one lap (easy gold) and went on to other things.

After booting up the game yesterday, I discovered that the cash earned from this event had disappeared!!! Anyone else experience this? How can I get back what I have 'earned'?
