Saying that, can you think of many major titles of the generation with more than 4? Even games largely centred around co-op rarely exceed 4. I don't really understand it, but for that reason I'm not shocked at it. I still haven't played them yet as I'm waiting for a buddy to get free before we do them together, how are they?

I don't understand why they don't have higher than 4 player either, I know damn well they can do it. There isn't anyone on my friends list that even plays the game so I won't ever get to see how the co-op is. My mate has it and plays it but he is horrible at all games and I just get so mad trying to play anything in a co-op style with him or I could do it with him. He makes it harder because he constantly dies etc.:ouch:

I had seen somewhere a list that showed in text all of the stats you need to be 100% and can't find it now. I have had my account linked to the social club since day one and I am now at 98.3% complete and don't know what I am missing to get to 100 because my account still shows 0% on Rockstars site. There is nothing left to do on the map, I have all of the challenges done, all of the areas, all the unique guns, I have all of the outfits done except the Bureau because you get it when you have 100% of the game complete, I simply don't know what I am missing. I have googled trying to find just a list that shows the stats and can't seem to find it, anyone point me towards it so I can get done with the game and get to hunting and killing innocent people? :)

EDIT: I finally found it, in case someone else needs it here is a link.

^ Don't rely on the Social Club page too much, they take their sweet time to update. Check your stat page in Option Menu for most up to date progress.

I only have a total of 7 bounty missions to do and I will be 100%👍 They are extremely boring which is why I never did them to start with really, didn't know they counted towards the completion so looks like I am doing them now:ouch:

I came across this cop in blackwater, if the rest of the towns had cops that were so bad ass that they refused to sit in a chair and instead stood on them the other towns would be as well off as blackwater:lol:

I downloaded the Co-op pack but have no idea how to start a 4 player co-op. I wanted to play a 3 player co-op with my two boys, but can't figure out how.

I ended up playing online for the first time. Boy, is it annoying as hell. I try to join a posse and I get killed over, and over, and over, and over again without being able to get away. The respawn system is HORRIBLE! I really don't feel like playing online anymore.

Exactly what I was saying about the multiplayer. I have all of the buffalo rifle and it is a high power rifle so I can get one shot kills. One night a guy killed me when I was trying to do a hideout mission so when I spawned I ran way up on a cliff and got out my sniper and I would pop him every time he spawned, he couldn't get away from it because he would spawn in about the same place every time and he couldn't even see me much less hit me with any gun but a sniper. I popped him over and over until about the 15 time he left the game, then I quit for the night because that was my goal after he pissed me off.

It's official, the multi player online version of this game is the biggest POS ever. I can't believe RockStar is this stupid!

I was ignorant enough to try to join a posse. Not one of the other three players wanted to join. So, I went to Pike's gang hideout to clear it out by myself. About 2/3 finished, one of the other players came to and camped somewhat near where I was. Didn't know why, but he was there and I finished up the gang fight. Well, I knew why he was there at the end.

I had just one last crate to blow, so I could collect my $900 and 1,900 in XP. Only, that asshole wouldn't let me. He camped at the last crate from high above and killed me every time I tried to plant the last bomb. I tried to shoot at him to kill him but it was an impossible task because he could always hide behind the cliff. I was screwed. However, I pressed forward and got luckily and killed him. Only, he would respawn right near me and kill me again, and again, and again when I tried to plant the last bomb.

Only after he accidentally fell off the side, and then respawn down below near me, did he give up and leave. After this happened for a very annoying 25 minutes, I finally got to blow up the last crate.

So, since RockStar is stupid enough to allow fags like this asshole (amau159) prevent me from finishing objectives, this online game can screw off. Biggest POS of all time.

So, I'm back to first player campaign and want to know why my satchel will hold more than 10 items, but when I die or save my game and play again some other time, all my items reset to just 5 items? Known glitch?

Yes, I for sure agree about the MP:tup: It is horrible, it is exactly like GTA:IV's MP which was horrible, nothing has changed:tdown:

About the item reset deal, I have never had that happen. When I finished all the missions and I had ton of crap, I sold everything except the hides and hearts of the legendary animals you have to hunt just because:)

Those items (plants and animals) are fine. I'm talking about booze, horse pills, apples, tobacco, etc. You can only carry 5 of each, but when you get the Tresure Hunter 10 rank, you get a larger satchel that allows you to carry twice as much. Only, it reduces back down to 5 when I save and reload or die.

I haven't even paid attention really, I am fixing to play if for a little bit and I will look at my inventory and stock up and then die and see what happens.

EDIT: Well I filled all of my stuff up and then jumped in the river and after I respawned at my house I was missing 5 horse pills and 5 bottles of tonic. Everything else like tobacco and moonshine and everything else was fine though. Never noticed it because I am buying horse pills all of the time because my horse is a junkie.

All I have to say about your free roam woes is Hardcore Free Roam, that way you can still see people in the pause map, but if they're not sprinting or moving quickly (essentially not touching X) you disapear from the minimap making you much harder to track and auto aim is switched off as well.

Posses aren't designed primarily for using with random people you don't know, it's more of a party function designed for friends. On that note, randoms can be avoided if you just want to spend some time ranking up (to get a good horse that isn't the diseased one is enough really). All of that said, your main gripe seems to be the people you're playing with and if you hit select there's a button to find a new free roam, save yourself the frustration if someone is ruining your experience and use that button. The normal free roam with auto-aim generally attracts more morons because it's ALOT easier to cause people trouble by simply auto aim spamming in tandem with abusing dead-eye as the respawned player will have none.

People in Hardcore free roam are generally much less aggressive unless you mess with them first, in my experience so far anyway, but they're not all perfect of course. I've managed to live for well over an hour more then once in this mode without being in a posse.

I found a pretty funny glitch tonight. Hogtie someone and throw them on the horse and ride around and find a camp site that you can sit at, you know the ones where you can sit and listen to one of the guys tell some tall tale. Get your victim off the horse and walk over with him/her on your shoulder and hit Y (Don't know the button for PS3) when it says sit at camp, not drop victim. When you sit the hogtied person will move to the middle of you and morph in/through your head. Its pretty funny looking.

I still can't cheat at poker. I tried about 50 times now, haven't done it. What's the secret?

I push triangle, and the mini game of keeping that 'arrow' in the center never works. The arrow always stays put. Or, it moves too fast after not moving at all, and I get caught super easy.

What's your technique and exactly how do you move your contoler?

Also, I can win at arm wrestling to save my life. I've come close but end up getting too fatigued and end up losing.

As regards poker, don't worry to much about cheating it's not neccessary once you get the hang of it. My gameplan for the outfit challenges which require you to win, was to deliberately fail at cheating and then duel (and kill) each player until only one remains. Then play as normal against the one player, I don't attempt many bluffs if anything you have to be careful not to bet to high when you have a really good hand if you want to make some real chips of it. Once you win a big hand you can afford to fold alot when you don't have much and they're betting bigger numbers.

As for arm wrestling, I've never lost one though I've come close, it's just a case of defending when they attack, and then attack when they are weary. Watch their face and you'll learn what they're doing (the wrist position is also a sign).

Side note: I played through the co-op missions and they're pretty good, especially for free, definately worth hooking up with a buddy or two to give them a go if you have the chance.

I don't have to cheat at poker; I just want to for fun. It goes so well with the persona, outfit, setting and the revolver on my side. ;)

I can't win at arm wrestling because my controler sucks. Same way I can control those horse buggies. If I use the regular controller, I get too tired from push X button so fast and so many times that I start to slow down and that's when I lose my advantage and then lose once he attacks. At 40, my agility, stamina and speed ain't what it used to be.

A quick tip for riding all mounts now you mention it, don't mash X until the staminas down to nothing, it's wasteful and ultimately slower over distance I find. It's much better to hold X then double tap it and hold it on the second tap, wait a brief moment (whilst holding X) then repeat. Wait a little longer and you can actually gain stamina back without having to stop and wait, and when it means you always have stamina left if you suddenly need to do a quick sprint and mash away.

I have never had a problem with cheating at poker or with winning a game of arm wrestling so don't know what to tell you there except be easy with the analog stick when doing the poker cheat because if you are heavy with it the needle will move so fast you own't be able to correct it!

Just curious, but is there a time when I should push the triangle button? I push it sometimes and the minigame doesn't pop up. I get caught right after pushing triangle!

Again, if I try to move the left joystic just a touch at the start, it's not enough and I get caught. If I move it a touch more, it moves too much and I get caught. I can't seem to find that middle ground of the left stick. This is why I use a controller other than the PS3 controllers. I hate those analog sticks.

What sensetivity rating do you guys use? Mines pretty high. For use with the SplitFish.

I just hit the button when it says I can cheat and go from there, I'm on the 360 though so it might be a glitch with the PS3 version or something to that effect. On sensitivity I am whatever the game is default, on COD I run at 9, but I haven't had an issue with the controls on RDR to even look to change it yet.

I've managed it on PS3 using a normal Sixaxis controller, I'm reasonably precise with the analog but I don't find it to difficult at all. I think the number of players makes a difference to, I always seem to have more issues with only one player at the table.

Found another odd funny little glitch, go up to any cactus and stand right against it and pull out your gun and look down the sights and look up at the top of the cactus. Its because a huge cactus! Or you shrink, however you want to view it :)

  • Attack and Defend multiplayer competitive mode and challenges
  • New multiplayer horse races, with mounted combat

  • Eight new multiplayer zombie characters
  • Additional animals to hunt

All of these sound pretty awesome, who's hoping that the stranger from "I Know You" is included in one of these packs? Killing people with that awesome Mustache = Epic.

From,
Chris.

I already traded this game in over the weekend. Got bored of it. Since most of that is for the multiplayer, it doesnt look like I will be missing much.
