Give me more single player! Screw the multiplayer in this game, its just as garbage as GTA:IV. I can't justify buying the DLC if it only has a little single player add on and a bunch of multi in it.

I'm pretty sure that 3rd item marked "Free Roam" will probably be a free patch rather than full on paid DLC, since it's featurelist reads more like patch notes and it doesn't have a pricetag. Apparently they're adding more anti-griefing features in that one, which should make online play a bit more bearable.

From,
Chris.

I just don't like the online play, so the new AG features won't effect me at all with that.

I remember getting killed before i could even scroll to find a co op game. the free roam lobby was a horrible idea.......

Same with me, if it's only a couple more missions and some more strangers I will probably pass, but if it's similar to the episodes for GTA4 I will pick it up.

I hit 100 percent complete last week! Forgot about it until I seen this thread again.

Who the heck is that bird with the yellow shirt gyrating in your picture? Want a full screen version of it now!!

Olivia Munn! Co-host of Attack of the show on G4TV....so hot. I actually like Allison Haislip better who has been standing in for Munn lately.

Alright, I officially hate the "Survivalist" challenges, atleast level 10, after a whole day of grinding to get them done yesterday, I go into the menu thinking it's almost over, and now I have to ride back across the entire map, again! :ouch:

On the upside it's the only challenge left for the "Legend of the West" outfit, which is pretty neat sounding.

From,
Chris.

The legend of the west outfit isn't neat at all, it looks like any other outfit to me in the game, all of them are pretty meh. The only reason I did all of that junk was to get 100 percent.

Yeah, (Endgame Spoilers?)
Since I've beaten the game and I'm playing as Jack, it just looks like a grey duster coat :ouch:

If I ain't too late, sell all aquired plants, then complete the task. It's a lot easier to keep track what you need and have already. Plus, this task isn't so bad. You can easily do it by just moving along the roads and stopping to pick a flower when one pops up on the mini map. It's easily done, so don't fret.

I disagree with the coat, though. It improves your Dead Eye recovery, so I wear it all the time. But I agree, the different outfits are lame.

By the time I got the legend of the west outfit the dead eye recovery didnt mean a thing because I was done with the game.

Yeah it wasn't that bad, I got it all done in time with only using one survivalist map, all the mexican plants are right outside Chuparosa, which saves a huge chunk of time.

You don't have to wear the outfit to double your Dead Eye, it automatically does it once you complete all the challenges. I'll stick with the Marshal Outfit, it's fun to get into a shootout in Thieves Landing, once I lassoed everyone who threatened me and tied them up in the street :p

I had the best duel yet in the game, a horses butt. Yep, my horses butt was right in the line of the guy i was trying to duel with. lol

Plus is anyone still playing Red dead redemption?

That's pretty awesome . I love funny glitches like that and some of the infamous ones we've seen in this thread in the past from Youtube.

I still have a go on RDR every so often, it's not a game I play every other day, but when it gets some time in the tray it's usually for a good session.

Still playing here - was out of the country for 4 weeks 2 days after release - so only picked it up recently...

Just got to the missions with Annabelle, Jack and Uncle...

I actually really liked the side Challenges - although I had a habit of getting killed when Skunk hunting for some bizarre reason!!

Gah - Bears are scary!!

I played this at my uncle house. OH MY GOD! What an awesome game. Makes me miss my PS3.

I've been playing this game quite a bit lately too. Just roaming around in single player doing stranger missions, hunting, exploring, getting short glimpses at the scenery before being attacked by cougars. Picking red sage in Rio Bravo has got to be the worst thing ever, you can't stop for 2 seconds without a cougar attacking.

Yea im still slightly obsessed with this game. Only the online competitive matches they are so addictive especially the gang matches

Finished the game today - didn't expect the last couple of missions... but pretty cool nonetheless...

The only disappointing thing really was that the last duel was far too easy!!

Alright, so here's my review so far:

Red Dead Redemption feels a lot like an old west version of Grand Theft Auto. And it makes since considering it was made my the same studio. The world is massive. It's probably the same size if not bigger than Liberty City in GTA4, and what's more, there isn't nearly as many places you can't go in RDR. And it's a living breathing world with several animals that are correct for the period. (Wolves were still in the country around then.)

The game takes place it what appears to be Southern Texas and Northern Mexico, which are separated by what would most likely be the Rio Grande. There's plenty to do and the story line is just as serious and very similar to GTA4. The main character is a long way from home looking for a couple old friends who betrayed him long time ago. However, you learn quickly that your character has actually been hired by the US government to hunt down his old friends and kill them...and by hired, I mean they kidnapped his wife and son and threatened to kill them if he didn't cooperate. The voice acting his great and it doesn't really take that long to unlock the entire map, which is nice.

Although, you can't drive a car in RDR, I like it because riding your Horse around is a bit more satisfying and they didn't really want you to make an identical game to GTA. Even cooler is the fact that there are real life horse breeds and weapons like the Springfield Rifle and Winchester Repeater. (not name brands now, but I'm sure, at the time, they would have been.)

Now, with all the good stuff out of the way, here's the bad: it's extremely glitchy. There are more glitches and bugs in RDR than anything else I can think of. What's even more impressive is most every kind of glitch is here. From poor draw distances and missing animations, to bad clothing animations and enemies walking through walks. However, like with GTA, the glitches don't really take anything away from the overall game experience and, in a way, add a little bit to the experience. It's kind of like RDR's version of GTA's satire.

In the end, Red Dead Redemption gets a 4 out of 5 in my book.

I just got 100% :)

Ended up on a wild goose chase in Mexico while doing bounties though, my stats said I'd done 8-6-4 bounties which means I needed to do two more in Mexico. No matter how many I tried, the Mexico count would not increase at all. Went back to New Austin - which I had already "completed" (8 bounties) - and did two bounties; that gave me the 0.2% I needed for 100% :D

Strangely, the two "extra" bounties I did in New Austin have been counted as Nuevo Paraiso locations, not New Austin. :odd:

I have just visited Rockstar Games Youtube channel, and one of their uploaded videos was this.

It gives me the hibigeebies. Even more when it's almost 2am and I'm all alone in the living room. Two weekends before Halloween weekend. :nervous::sick::scared::eek:

I actually feel bad for all the zombies i'm going to kill in the upcoming DLC. Fallout and this should take up a good chunk of time until GT5.

I saw that zombie video a few days ago. I don't think I'll get it. Not a zombie fan.

There was a new free outfit download, but haven't had time to fire up the PS3, yet. Anybody do so, yet?
