Headshot'r are gruesomely awesome! I was helping a rancher take back his home from a bunch of criminals, very cool fire fight ensued, after looting some of the corpses i noticed a guy with a gaping hole in his head! It looked like a bloomed flower coming out of his head! Definitley was not expecting that! This game is very dynamic and very very entertaining. Definitley worth the praise it has been recieving :)

Yes took a rifle to a dead bodie's head, and created nice gapeing chunk of red in the place of where a peice of his head was no more. lol nasty

Pay $2 to watch the movie in Armadillo, it is flippin' HI-hilarious.

Careful though if tapeworms make you squeamish

Should be getting my copy tomorrow, but I found it dissappointing that trains aren't in MP, despite them saying they would be earlier (it was a big let down in GTA IV MP).

I will probably rent this over the weekend. Multiplayer games never work the day they are released anymore so hopefully some of the bugs are worked out by then. My main focus will be the co-op free roam and the single player campaign.

Played a little bit lastnight. Too tired to really get into it, but it's nice to see some clean graphics from Rock Star. Too bad the character animations aren't smoother, they still have that robot walk about them. Can't really comment on game play, but they did try to put in some nice eye candy in this one. The old west dialog and vocabulary is entertaining enough. Should be fun getting into this game.

Anyone else having a problem lassoing a wild horse?

I had some trouble with it at first, not sure if you're on ps3 or 360 but you have to hold down R2 until the horse is still. After that you can jump onto it and tame the beast :)

My copy just got dispatched but I'm on free delivery so it'll be a while. Quick question to those who have it/get it before me, can auto aim be forced off in free roam online? That is force everyone to have it off. Thanks for any help.

So I decided to go onto my second account and have some fun with some cheat codes. Rockstar seems to really be trying to deter people from using them as I couldn't get more than one to work at a time, even then the only cheat that really worked was a weapon one.

As for my primary save, it seems to have a fairly steep learning curve, you would expect at least a "Dead Eye" Tutorial mission before having to use it in an actual mission, that is of course if I just haven't gotten that far in the "Tutorial" strand.

Sorry man, just did some testing and one can use "casual" aiming mode in public free roam. It works on both foot and horseback and, once locked on, tracks your target as you/they move. I suppose the only minor disadvantage to using it is that I couldn't get head shots with it. Not much of a consolation I understand.

My copy came in early, so I was up waaaay too late last night playing it. Not very far in, too much goofing off was involved, but I don't think I've even scratched the surface as to how good it is.

Dueling can be a pain in the behind, a quick tip for all who care. Watch the hand of you enemy like a hawk. Keep the right stick down with a bit of pressure so that the distance it takes it pick up your gun is much less. As soon as you the guys hand creeps toward his weapon fully pull down the right stick then slide it back up and press R2 where you want the slug to go through the guy. You can shoot more than once, hell you could unload the whole clip on the guys face. I did this earlier today and what was left of his face looked like hamburger meat. It took me awhile to get this down but i finally did and it's worth it.

Back to chewing tobacco and dragging bad guys behind my horse around the desert :)

I'm having trouble with the DA outfit. The wanted poster for Mo will not show up (I've done at least 10 bounties already). Is anyone else having the same problem?
Beside that, this is a great game, loving every minute of it.

Just like ol' Red Dead Revolver then, looks like I'll be duelling pretty nicely pretty quickly then 👍

Side note and a bit off topic: Any idea how long Amazons free delivery service usually is? Is the estimated delivery accurate?

I hogtied an old man and dumped him on the train tracks. When the train came along... well, it wasn't pretty. I also shot a bad guy off his horse, but his foot got caught in the stirrup

I don't know really. I ordered MW2 from there (co.uk) but I don't know what kind of delivery I had and it was already out for a while. This time I ordered RDR at gamehubs, that has free delivery. I think I can expect it sometime next week. And I live in the netherlands.

I called everywhere and no one has this to rent so it looks like I will have to wait until next weekend to play it. :(

Don't worry, I feel your pain as I already own a copy and I just have to wait approx a week to get it. I have exams though, so it's probably for the best.

Indeed, I spotted someone attacking a woman on the side of a saloon so I went to fists and pushed him off, when he recovered he pulled his pistol, I quickly switched back to pistol and luckly slugged him right in the face faster than I ever thought I could (was luck to select the pistol so quick), blood all over the wall and ground and when I looked at his face he had a nice hole in it, then I looked at the other side and was suprised he had a crater for a exit wound. :scared:

RDR makes it feel much more like you actually shot someone over GTA, sometimes kinda makes you feel sorry for the onscreen pixels. :p

Youre killing me. Sucks I will have to wait until probably next week to rent it. I even asked if they had it for PS3 or 360 and its all rented out everywhere.

Completed the story early this morning. All I can say without spoiling it, is that the writing is brilliant. I can see how a lot of people might find the ending not so great, I found it bittersweet, but the last 5 or 6 missions really set it up nicely in my eyes, and make it quite different from anything I've played before.

The game arrived in the post today, I've spent a couple of hours on it and it's been fantastic. The controls can be clumsy on occasion but that's about it as far as crticisms go, definitely a 9 or 10/10 game.

I've had a few random encounters, rescued a girl being attacked by wolves. Near the start I saw some guys having a shootout, I accidentaly shot the deputy instead of the crook though . I've done a couple of main missions, a bounty hunt and herded some cattle, it's been very good so far.

Mod Nation Racers will probably arrive tomorrow, I'm not sure if it'll get much of a look in for a few days though.
