Guys, I've been wondering if the startup sound of my PC could be replaced? I'd love to replace it by a nice V12 at startup... Is this possible? And how can I do this?

Are you a windows 7 or Vista?

For 7 go to search bar>type sounds>click "change system sounds"> in that menu under the "program events". Click in the list the specific sound you are trying to alter> then click browse and select new file. The audi file has to be converted to a .wav. (waveform file). im sure theres some kind of online converter for you

EDIT: If you just Google for ringtones, you should be able to find just about anything.

I would think there is a way Jav, it would be cool. I know you can do it on a Mac, so I'm sure you can do it to a Win PC. I'll see if I can find a forum for this and link it for joo.

Best I likely could do is find some videos on Youtube and cut some startup samples for you. As mentioned, Porsche has a site where you can download MP3s for some of their cars.

What's wrong with them?
They work fine for me.
Maybe you're not clicking the right button.

On that multiuploa link, click the button that says direct download.
There are a lot of fake buttons that are just ads.

Hey guys! I just got rFactor and would like to know some tips for a beginner:

Firstly, where can I download all the mods? I tried rFactor Central, but it lacked many of the cars that you can find players using on YouTube.

Secondly, what settings are good for a G27 wheel?

I had another question in mind, but I forgot. Thanks in advance!

What do you mean?

You either have to pay for all of the downloads, or the computer says the mod is invalid. I am 99% sure that it is my laptop. It has crashed a few times.

Guys how do I get a screenshot on rFactor? I know that pressing F12 does it, but how do I get that screenshot out of the game and on to Paint/Gimp or any othe editing program?

I think screen shots are sent automaticall to a folder in the game program files.

edit: Go to rFactor Program files then click UserData then > screenshots

the screenshots should appear there.
