Just thought i'd show you all my second video to my channel. :)

I think it'll be really slick if you did a more gradual fade into your laps instead of the abrupt switch you have going on now.

I don't know many legal places to download it

If you go to the website for rFactor, they have download links for a 40 minute trial. Once your 40 minutes are up, you can pay for the full game.

Trying to create a car class in Rfactor for AI similar to GTR2. I found in a cars .VEH file the "category" section I need, now all I need is how to actually create a championship to select them from the menu's... idea's anyone?

It's been a while since I've done it, but I think that all you should need to do is add your new championship to the .RFM file. Just copy the basic format of one of the chempionships that is already there. If I remember right while away from my PC it's a section between brackets marked as /SEASON. You'll need to add your class to the championship's list of eligible cars, and you'll also need to add them to the overall list of eligible cars for the mod, in the line near the very top of the .RFM file.

It can be a little tricky to set up some of the exact options you want as you need to know which variables to include, but most of the main things you need can be found in the sections used to create nearly any existing champiohship. Anything you don't specifically set should use the common options defined elsewhere in the .RFM. You can look at a couple of different mods to perhaps find some of the options you can set that might not used in the one you are modifying. Obviously it should go without saying to back up your files(especially the original version), but I'm probably supposed to always remind everyone anyway. :)

Ok, I'm having an issue with rFactor. So I was having trouble with cars showing up yesterday or the menus not showing any of the files. So I reinstalled everything and finally, all the cars and mods show up (no more "Unable to load MAS file" whatever nonsense) but now when I select a car, select a track and click "Load Circuit", it just cuts off. Likewise, I press "Play Replay", it just cuts off.

Have you downloaded any plug ins lately? When I installed the spotter plug in, I would get a problem very similar to that. Eventually just went and deleted it.

Furi, I have created a championship once. And it is in the .rfm. You have to look at what's in there already and change the track names to tracks you have installed.
Dunno about classes though, there's some stuff in the rfm about that, but veh is also a good place to work. Modding rFactor is all about guess and check!

I haven't installed any plug-ins.

Do you guys have any setups for a G27? I want it realistic as possible. I'm used to iRacing, so I'd like it to be similar to that.. Or at least close to. I've been messing around with the spring rates etc both in game and the Logitech profiler.. And came up with something decent, but I'm not totally satisfied with it at the moment..

Does anyone know what Track IR is? Just found it in the plugins folder and I do not remember downloading that.

Ok thanks. So thats definately a plugin I did not need since I don't have a head tracking camera.

Hey does anyone have the F3 Macau mod? I've got a problem. The sound disappeared. I didn't delete it or anything. So I uninstalled it, then reinstalled it. It still has no sound. There are no sound files in the rar. Files. Any ideas?

Take another sound file and rename it?

It might use the default rfactor sounds...
Without install rF Lite in a different location, then copy over the sounds folder from that and dump it in the F3 Macau install.

Yeah but the F3 cars are missing sounds....unless those are just default sounds used in the mod?

Just in case someone still cares.
I have now real life footage from the road, bottom to top.
A friend of mine filmed it. So I can now add more details.
