Rinoseat - What Happened??

I got my tracking number a week ago, but it still hasn't been activated.
The tracking site just says "No information,...."
Only because I have already waited for 3 months I'm going to wait to the end.
If I would have known what an insane wait this is a month ago I would have canceled my order and asked for my money back.
 
How much does the Rinoseat GTR cost if it were to ship to the USA? This looks nice and simple but just hearing of all the problems such as shipment is being an issue. I probably would just make my own racing seat that is similar to this.
 
How long does/can it take for the tracking number to get activated?

Got mine a week ago and it was supposed to activate in 1-4 days.

3 months tomorrow since I ordered...

I even contacted the croatian postal office to ask about the tracking number and they told me there is no information about an item with my tracking number...great.

This kind of service/support from Renato is unacceptable.
I'm losing my mind.

This should be a warning to everybody who are about or are thinking about ordering one!

The Rinoseat GTR was to be reviewed by ISR but not even they have heard anything from Renato ! :nervous::nervous::nervous:
 
I'm in the same bag as u oobee 3 emails over the past few months and 3 months wait and nothing.

Not even a reply!

Some Croatian kid is using it as a park bench!
 
I think he may just be ignoring delivery related emails as they are probably getting tiresome and in some cases insulting. I say this because he quickly answered my query today, even writing specific directions on the pictures I attached. In the past when I was waiting for my seat there was only once or twice I didn't get a reply to an email and in general I left monthly gaps between my emails.

Make of all that what you will.

His behavior is perhaps questionable, especially as people have been waiting longer than four months. I would say his mediocre English and straight talking engineer focused style do not help with his ability to deal with these kind of emails.

I predict come the second half of the year production and delivery time should me much improved, its got to be right? Hang tight guys, mine took so long I got past caring, which is the best way to go about it when it has been so long. Then all of a sudden I got a tracking number (which didn't do any tracking really except say it had been put into a bag) and 9 days later my seat arrived. That was from Croatia to Britain and he sent mine via plane.

It's funny how posts like these make me feel like there is still hope :)
A couple of days ago I was certain that I will never get my seat or my money.
But maybe some day...

I just hate so much when I don't get an answer from him, if Croatia were a little closer I would drive there and get the god forsaken seat myself.
 
Many emails without responses. It's the first time I had to resend and resend again and got no answer. I'm starting to worry. I just hope Renato is on holiday, has got some email issues, or something like that...

thought u had received your seat in march?? or do you have a problem with it?
 
Yes I received it and no I don't have any issue with it, but we exchanged some emails about my satisfaction, improvements and so on, and I'm waiting for a specific shifter holder for my Frex HShift+.

He planned to send it to me during the 03/21-03/25 week, and no response since.
 
I'm another old client. Finally, I reached him, and he say he's gonna increase production capacity, and in the near future, new orders will be immediately ready for shipping. I hope it comes true soon.

First time I saw the Rinoseat I told my self this must be the sexiest, simplest racing rig I've ever seen and I wanted one. But the more I read about it the more it turned me off, not because of the product itself but of all the horror stories I hear about purchasing the item. I went and get different rig and I can't be more happier.

I got no first hand experience with the Rinoseat but I can say from looking at the Rinoseat Youtube videos and pics, the Obutto IMO looks more stable. The Obutto is a solid rig. It is more of like a permanent setup rig as it is made of steel and is really heavy. It doesn't wobble at all and the seat itself feels really comfortable.
 
If you didn't test the rinoseat, then you shouldn't get to any conclusion that Obutto is more rigid or stable than the Rinoseat. It's not because it's made of steel and it's heavy that it's rigid. It's not a matter of what metal is used, but more a matter of conception.

All I can say is that the Rinoseat is rock stable and rigid. It's perfectly firm and sturdy, the wheel, the shifter, as much as pedals don't move at all, the seat is very comfortable too, and the racing sitting position is pretty immersive (racing style position).

If the Obutto is rock stable too, I don't think one is better than the other speaking of this particular point.
 
Could the owner of Rino Seat PM in regards to supply demand state side.

I may have a solution that benefits you, me and most importantly the customer.

I would PM you. However not sure which person is exactly the right one one for many post elude that they are involved with Rino Seats.

Did I say I confirm that the Obutto is more stable than the other? Please re-read my post. Well to reiterate, looking at the youtube video and pics of the Rinoseat, I can say IMO Obutto looks more stable than the Rinoseat. Just look at the video where the person was rocking the Rinoseat left to right and he even manage to make the Rinoseat jump while seating on it. Yes it looks rigid for it to take all that pounding but that doesn't mean it is stable. It looks like it will do a bit a movement (like sway a bit) while playing. You can't do that to the Obutto. You are going to break your spine first before you can rock the Obutto and make it jump. The Obutto will just stay firm to the ground. I got a BKG2 and Thrustmaster T500 hard fitted on my Obutto they 're pretty much rock solid. The Rinoseat seat I would say (I'm not concluding) is too much for gaming. I just imagine how one would feel sitting in it for more than 4 hours. You can adjust aft and fore and incline the seat on the Obutto and I don't think the Rinoseat can do that. OK I'm not starting a debate here. This is just My Own Honest Opinion. The Rinoseat looks really good though, the reason why wanted to get that first so wife wouldn't mind me placing it in the family room in front of the big LCD and I can easily move it aside after. But I'm fine with the Obutto, I'm just confined in my own man's cave downstairs. Works better since I can play as much as I can.

Oh if the Rinoseat becomes easilly available, I might just buy one and put on it my old G27 and set it up upstairs for casual gaming. The Rinoseat is really sexy. It can be the center piece of the room.

Ok, now I get what you mean.

Indeed you can make the rinoseat move while you're sit in it. However I can tell you that when I play it doesn't move at all, no matter what strength you apply to the wheel or pedals.

But you've got a point on the seat. The only setting you've got is front/back sliders. You can't tune the angle, which could be an issue for some people.
 
I got email from Renato today, he told me that they had found a new solution with Croatian customs and that my seat should be on its way home in the next few days.

Sounds good, I guess Renato is really trying to get things working.
I hope he succeeds.
 
Yeah, should be on it's way soon. My tracking number is still inactive.
Next saturday it will be 4 months since I ordered :D
I've never waited so long for anything but I still want this seat so bad.
