Rinoseat - What Happened??

I have Recaro's in my Evo. They are as adjustable as any other seat. Slide rail forward and back and a dial to adjust angle at the back. What else is needed. Granted my Jeep has lumbar, up and down with tilt bottom. But that is reserved for luxury models. None of my sports car had anything more then the normal. Just as my Recaro's do.

Link shows Cheaper race only style seating. Which is adjustable. But not on the fly. These seats are set to drivers taste. So really designed with one driver. In mind. That would yield no use for adjustments.

One could look into rails and seat mounting at say Summit or Jegs and get some adjustable mounts. They are common for street rods where a plastic bucket is used.

It is been 3 months for me and Renato stopped responding to my emails about when he stooped responding to most of us so about a month ago.

Hoping he will get back to me soonish with some good news.

What a thread...
I think anyone is a fool to continue ordering these with the situation as it is. I wouldnt even consider ordering until they sort out the current mess they have with non delivered back orders.

If this is how a company uses these forums to promote, discuss their product but shamefully then not follow up with actual contact to customers bigger the fool that wants to give them money. They should have contact for every order so how hard can it be to not at least advise people of order backlogs, delays or even dispatches.

I feel sorry for those waiting and have been treated so poorly, you deserve part refund or discount at least back.
Have any of you had success in refunds for overdue non delivered goods?

yes, YES, YES

No, I haven't recieved my seat yet, but my tracking code was activated today.
This probably means I will get it withing a couple of weeks.

Well I know everyones pain who are still waiting for their Rinoseat GTR. I was one of the first customers to order and had to wait just as long. I really enjoy using my seat and don't regret my decision for this cockpit over others on the market.

My only gripe these days is that upon puchase Renato informed me that he could make inverted pedals for me, which was one of the most major selling points to me in buying his cockpit over others. Also included in the sale was a keyboard holder, I am yet to receive either of them. I have left several emails with enquiries to these outstanding items, but I've had no responses.

It is very frustrating, even though yes I have my actual seat, and I realise there are many without, but I bought this cockpit with certain expectations ie, inverted pedal attachment. I feel that I may never see the day of receiving the rest of my purchase. Surely since November when I ordered, the inverted pedals are ready for shipping, that's seven (7) months.

Renato, please reply to my email and give me some information. You're using my pictures in your website for advertising purposes, at the very least you could have the curtesy to respond with an answer.

Unbelievable!! :crazy: :ouch: 👎

And now some bad news.

My seat got stuck in the customs here in Finland.
This means that I have to declare it and pay VAT and some custom fee.
Could get expensive...hope not.

What's the VAT rate in Finland?

I paid 3.5 months ago - no replay to my emails for last month. I am patient but this is getting really annoying. I also was promised inverted pedals but after a while I said that he can send me just the seat and pedals at later stage when he will be ready with them as this was the main excuse for hold up with the delivery.

I even asked him before I paid, after reading all the comments on the forum, if he still have problems with delivering on time and he said - oh no it is all sorted now delivery time is 2 - 3 weeks...

And now he even stopped replaying to my emails.

Very professional.

I really wonder what's happening with Renato, he's not replying to any of us, and many people are waiting for many months already, without any update.

I bought the Rinoseat hoping it could have some good updates and compatibility support with future products, but I'm kind of worried now.

The Clubsport shifter should be available before the end of the year, maybe the clubsport handbrake too, Renato said he would work to make the Rinoseat compatible with those products when they will be available, but if it's the same song than with inverted pedals, keyboard/mouse holder and so on, I think we could wait even much longer than we waited for fanatec clubsport products to be available...

I got my seat today!!!

Haven't assembled it yet though.

BUT the shifter holder for Fanatec shifter is missing...

...and a couple hours later I found the shifter holder :D, it was hidden inside another part.

Couldn't be better, yesterday we(Finland) won the World Championship in hockey and today I got my seat.

Great :)

oobee when did you paid if you do not mind me asking?

Thanks :) and GL on virtual tracks.

I ordered mine on december 30th and I paid for it about a week later.
So it took over 4 months.

I do think Renato reads all emails sent to him, because yesterday he replied to mine in two hours. He is probably just very busy with everything.
Try to be patient, I know it can be VERY frustrating.

And when did you receive you tracking number? But it comes down to 5 and half months for you :) before you got it in home... omg :)

Got my tracking number march 21st.

It's 4,5 months, 5,5 months would be in june.
Still, a pretty long time :D

The good news: I got my seat, and it's great!!

The worse, history:
* Oct 09 - 2010 - I ordered the seat
* Oct 11 - 2010 - I paid via Western Union, no problems
* Mars 21 - 2011 - Got my tracking nr.
* May 4 - 2011 - Got my seat delivered.

Almost 7 months and a lots of emailing for me. I'm happy with everything but the waiting time and the complete lack of honest delivery status (it always seemed as it was just about to be shipped and sometimes i was told it was shipped. I always got replies on my emails though.
If you already ordered your seat and still are waiting i'm sure that you will get it, be patient :s

Just played around with it 1-2 hours but so far so good.
