Rinoseat - What Happened??

and still nobody has received their rinoseat...This thread started life october 6th... that's 3months.. damn

last week january 6th i was promised a tracking number within the next 7days. nothing received...after 8weeks of promises i am really really reaaaaallllly! starting to wonder what problem is coming up next to be honest. I was full of faith when i ordered the seat but i'm starting to lose it... I've been closely monitoring my front doorbell for 2months now like a fly on a turd... this is becoming pretty unbelievable

Renato, what's the latest update?? We keep seeing photos of boxes ready for shipment but yet no one is receiving? What's up? please share! tell us what's going on i think we are all starting to lose confidence.

I guess I am out of the competition because I drove there and took it personally. I went to Viena for a weekend and stopped in Zagreb to collect it.

First of all I want to thank Renato for his effort and kindness. He drove to the highway, I dont know how far from his home, on Sunday afternoon just to save me some time I would lose entering the city. I am wondering how many suppliers are there that would do the same.

Anyway, here are the pictures of unboxing. I cant assemble it now. We have arrived an hour ago from 700 kilometers trip.
I hope you guys will get your own boxes soon.

I can't wait to try it out once all the pre-orders are done. This orange edition looks really nice and it will look really good with a GT3 RS mounted to it.

About the payment options: I don't think you should be worried about it. There is nothing he can do about it, because people from Croatia can only pay with Paypal and not receive payments through it. I think it's more than clear by now that he's running a legitimate business. Just search the internet for "Rinoseat revolution", which is his prevus product and you'll find out that he's not scamming people.
 
Well, Renato said he would send my order friday or today, and I still got no notification mail. I really hope it will be sent tomorrow or soon because I'll receive the GT3 RS V2 Clubsport edition tomorrow, and I would like to be able to test it in a fresh and sturdy Rinoseat...
 
OK, the rig is assembled. It took me approx 1 hour. Sorry, no pics. I forgot my camera at work and couldnt wait another day. Anyway, there is temporary assembly instructions posted on Rinoseat website. Everything I would show is already shown there.

I really enjoyed the process. With every piece, I admired how simply and ingenious some solutions are. Although it looks simple in some way, you can see lots of thinking and creative engineering with every detail. I noticed precise machining, drilling and welding everywhere. Parts fits with ease and secure - it reminded me of LEGO blocks.

Putting seat cover is bit tricky. It is made to fit perfectly but the shape of seat frame is tricky with wide and narrow places. Once you manage it, the seat looks like it is made from plastic. Everything is tight and smooth. Cover material is thick with heavy stitching. It looks like it will last.

I didnt tried it last night. I dont have monitor stand nor PS3 i could try on my TV. I am going to fix the monitor somehow and test everything, tonight. I hope my wife will accept to be the cameraman. I am curios to check how tight the whole thing is under real forcefeedback load.
 
Yeah, the same for me lol. Well I know some french people received their products, I know I will receive mine, I don't know when.

same here!! was supposed to get my shipping confirmation in the week from january 6 to january 13th!! haven't heard from him since via mail, only on this forum replying with the tracking number of other people's seats actually being delivered..
been waiting from november 21st, almost 2months now!!
CPA even longer than 3 months i think... it's really starting to count...
i'm refusing to play anymore without the seat :crazy:
 
every day we deliver a few rinoseats
at this stage of production i personally checked every rinoseat before delivery so we are now limited to a few delivery per day
but it will stop soon because i have not encountered any problems in the manufacturing and assembly

i received many emails with questions regarding the bucket seat in rinoseat
so, here is the answer

- the seat in Rinoseat GTR is hardcore looking bucket seat with increased comfort and size with a little changed shape of this seat:

- strong support for the shoulder and a big decline seat back, release the power in back and pushing the driver hands on the steering wheel (both together eliminates back pain), it gives you a sense of security and balance, a sense of real car racing
- i spent many days in looking for properly position of C style seating
- experimenting, i got unique feeling of sitting: "feel the race"
- seat cover is made of a material that "breathes", so there is no sweating

However, it would be nice to have a precise shipment date because I should be at home for reception of the package, so I have to plan it in my calandar as soon as possible.
 
Test passed!

Last night I moved the monitor to our dining table. I even put white towel on the table with the wheel touching it to "amplify" wheel movement if there are any. I had to make the video with my Logitech webcam because handycam requires firewire which I dont have on my current setup. It would take another day to transfer it to computer.

The test was made with GTR2, NGT class - TVR 400 on Imola track. Forcefeedback settings are:
- effects: High
- strength: 90%

First video shows approx 2 laps around the track. I wasnt very gentle with the throttle to cause oversteering and wheel actions. Also, I tried to use curbs whenever I could to maximize vibrations. It is easier to look at the towel movements because whell seems rock solid.

Second video shows me shaking wheel stand with both my hands and all my strength. Yes, it moved but at that moment whole rig has moved because I moved my whole body.

according to the french review he ordered and paid his seat mid october and it was sent january 5th and delivered january 15th. 3 months waiting time seems to be the average. patience we will have to have...

for the rest, the review totally confirms what a great product it is
