Rinoseat - What Happened??

I got this email from Renato;

"Today, i solved problem with our freight forwarding company.
They refused to send less than 16 pieces.
Today I sent them last.

Tomorrow, after midnight tracking number will be active"


Just my opinion here, so noboby get offended, but...

This system needs to change, is there a need for a forwarded company? Similar to what i said in a previous post, we get all excited that our item has been sent, when in reality it isn't, but in storage at the forwarding company until they reach 16 items.

Why do this forwarding company need to wait for so many items (16)? If I was paying them for a service, I would expect them to do that on the day. How is it possible for a company to pick up an item with the intention of forwarding it to the Post Office, able to say NO, we're going to hold onto your stock, until you give us more. This doesn't make sense?? I can't get me head around how they don't pick up and deliver to destination, simlilar to any form of courier company on the same day or at least in a 24hr period.

If they did this to me, they would be sacked!

Is it not possible for Renato on a minimum basis, to have a set day (eg. Monday) of every week to take any finished products to the Post Office, eliminating this forwarding company. And advertise on website or invoice to stipulate that all shipments are posted on this nominated day.

This way everybody knows that if something is going to be shipped it will be on this one day, and therefore a tracking number should be activated as of that day too. And if Renato has time to nominte two or three days a week for shipping, all the better.

It does seem really weird.

Just can't see the purpose of this "forwarding company" why cant you just put the package to post and off they go? When I sent my rigs from here (Finland) it always took the time the post office said it would take. I just put them in a package and off they went. Is there some reason for having a one more hand in between? Maybe there is but just cant see it.
 
Well lucky you, mine is still not activated... let's hope my package was in these 16 pieces...

Just out of curiousity, When did you place your order? I'm wondering if orders are being handled by proximity of location or by date...

I'm starting to get so pissed off at that website with the ****ing tracking number always saying "please check you item identifier"
 
I also received tracking number from Renato Feb 18th(Fri) and he said it would be activated about the next Mon or Tuesday(22th).

Of course it hasn't been activated yet.
If I knew it would take this long, I wouldn't cancel my order for Playseat WRC and order Rinoseat GTR.

When I requested estimates on Dec 15th, Renato told me Shipping Date "is" Dec. 29th.
Though I made payment (by Western Union) on Dec 21th, I still don't know if it's on the way.

How can a buyer understand such way of shipping? Renato should've told the fact when he received order, I think...

Sigh.....
 
will be more something like a 30day delivery i believe... good news on the tracking number though! When did you order?

Either he sent via plane or EMS the max is 12 days, so if the same thing happens to me as to CPA, then trust me, you will know about it on here.

As for ordering, I transferred my money on 19 November 2009, that's over three (3) months now and counting.

At least you have a tracking number. I paid about a month before you yet I am still to receive a tracking number. Ordered the orange edition.

I haven't been nagging him much though, about one email a month... perhaps this is why I am not as high a priority. :grumpy:
 
Does anyone know if this is a fulltime job for Renato (Rino Industries), or is this a side business after normal work hours and weekends etc?

I don't even try to understand the process it takes to manufacture one of these things, but for the amount of people waiting over an extensive time period, seems to indicate that Renato possibly does this as a side project for extra cash.

Or maybe when you look at new pricing quotes etc, Renato has put the manufactoring of frames themself on hold whislt he develops all the attachments and accessories, therefore is behind in production. No help to long paying customers though waiting on original designs first marketed.

Seat looks awesome. I really feel sorry for the ones waiting so long. I was gonna order one,but I want to use something I pay for right away. I bought a sim seat instead. It may not be the same quality as Rinoseat, but it is inexpensive and will do the job for me. Maybe one day when Rinoseat has better way of distribution, I will buy one. Good luck to you guys. Hope you get it soon.

By The way : the only reason he is using a freight forwarder is to cut down on costs... look at it as a group purchase. That's one of the main reasons we're waiting so long... cost of transportation...

I paid on november 21st so i'm wondering who will be getting theirs first
 
And...My tracking number is finally activated!

Now my package is on its way, a matter of days before receiving my rinoseat. I'm releaved!

Possibly not, but I email Renato after receiving the email to state he has sent my rig to the forwarding company, confirming that it was being sent by plane. Here is the email replying to one I sent previous, this reply was on the 18 Feb;

"...Is this being shipped by plane as stated?...
Yes, by plane.

I am constantly improving Rinoseat. When I finish with the inverted pedals (it is also a main part of the monitor holder),
Rinoseat will be officially completed and then production will not be a slow.
Nearly 60% of our customer ordered inverted pedals.

Without this, we would be in the day with deliveries.
I was also surprised with the fact that over 50% of our customers have and Fanatec and Logitech wheel.
That's why i changed the shifter holder (they want both models).

Well, let me try to explain how things should work in this part of Europe.
How they actually work is another story that will lead me to the politics and I dont want that.

So, I live in Serbia, thats Croatia's first neighbor. We were parts of one country 20 years ago so I presume that same / similar procedures are still valid in both countries.
If you want to sell - export something from Serbia, you will have to pay for:
- customs warehouse
- registration tax
- agency which knows how to prepare zillion st*pid papers because if you make an error you will be faced with "violation of customs procedure" and huge penalties
- another government tax
- another government tax

.
Total: 50-60 EUR for every shipment, whatever the value is. No matter if the buyer or sender is a company or a person.

I presume that Rinoseat has some kind of contract with that forwarding agency to lower these expenses and split them to more units.

For me, it is easy to understand all difficulties and problems they have. And that gives me another reason to fully support their efforts and hard work. Maybe you guys should think of it. Believe me, it is not easy to live and work over here.

One thing that all of you need to know, shipping with Croatia Post office is the cheapest way. I once wanted to ship my broken Turbo S to fanatec and the price to ship with DHL, Overseas was around 100€, so it's extremely expansive :-(

BTW I ordered T500RS from amazon yesterday and it's already on the way by DHL and costs less than usd 40 to South Korea. Kinda unbelievable rate:tup:
 
Well I got some good news, my order arrived in France today, and the exchange center is not far from my home (I live in Paris suburbs), I think I'll be delivered before the end of the week.

I'm going to write a full review in french that I will try to translate in english as soon as possible. Almost 3 long months, the waiting is finally ending...

i dont think renato is taking anymore orders as he said to me a few weeks ago to tell him which seat style i want and he will send me a invoice, i told him a day later and i have not heard anything since no invoice nothing. he also said it would be 3 weeks until i get the seat.

i guess he is too busy and fairplay that he doesnt take anymore orders as he may not be able to get them out in time.
 
I think you should resend him an email. I don't think he stopped taking new orders. But he must be very busy indeed.

There will be some pictures and videos too, don't worry about that 👍

wow thats fast! i was browsing to the other tracking numbers posted by Renato and they all seem to take around 2 weeks to get delivered for Europe... do keep in mind that customs can take a while..., anyhow, good news
 
That's because Renato requested the fastest way to compensate the delay. So my order took the plane and the estimated delivery time is 3-7 days.

Anyway, customs in France are pretty fast, I never waited more than one day after an order arrival in my country. I made many orders from Japan, China, and Croatia (the first Rinoseat :dopey: ).

If there something we are good at in France, is to tax fast and strong :crazy: (even if I know I wont have any customs to pay for this particulary order).
 
As i expected, I received the Rinoseat this morning! I didn't have the time to mount it, but I unboxed everything to check out, and all I can say is it is very serious work. Great quality.

wow that's really fast, good for you!, you got your tracking number february 27th right? that's only 7days, must be by plane... my package has arrived at croatian customs in zagreb now, hope that won't take too long
