According to Renato it should take 2 to 3 weeks !

What happened ?

How's the customs in Finland ?

There's no carrier like UPS or DHL.
The customs and posting work fine in Finland, at the moment the problems are at the other end.

We who discuss this here are basically among the first customers ordering this seat, and because it's a new product and the company itself is quite new there's bound to be some problems.
But in time Renato will hopefully be up to date with the orders and stuff.

I got an email from Renato today saying he will get it shipped this week and get me the tracking number.

I still think the seat is going to be worth all the frustration.

Yeah, I also got the same email. I really look forward to the tracking number from him this week. I sent the money in Feb 9th, which is a month ago. Although it may take a week or two to get it even after I get the tracking number, I may get it within the 2 months time frame. It seems he's gradually getting up to date, which is a good sign to potential buyers.

it's here!!!
15day delivery time and the IPS tracking website still says it's in Croatia....
tomorrow
Didn't have to pay any taxes which is a relief!
unpacked everything, looks like the real deal, this is serious equipment!!

Wow mine arrived today too with no vat or taxes!!
(mine also tracking stopped at 'into bag' status)
Haven't opened yet. But the waiting seems worthwile :-)

Wow -Seoul, Korea

How long did it take ?

Cheers

Payment date: Dec 21. 2010

Shipment transit time? Almost 1 month from receiving tracking # from Renato.

I received my tracking number on Feb 18th.
The tracking info is asf:
http://ips.posta.hr/IPSWeb_item_events.asp?itemid=cp000939875hr&Submit=Submit

Depending on country, tracking seems unavailable outside of Croatia.

After 4 hours of labor, mine is built too. Every parts incredibly fits well and feels so sturdy.

Here's my T500RS attached on Rinoseat GTR G25/27 EDITION.
As the panel is so small, it needs some wider plate to support the clamp.
Movement of wheel comes through the seat pipe...great:tup:
Tomorrow I'll setup my buttkicker gmaer on the seat.

Thanks Renato for the great product!!

That looks awesome !

The T500RS looks great ! Rinoseat has a special T500RS Edition!

Is the wheel as rock solid as we heard other gamers report ?

What's this? Is no one excited about this cockpit? I find it very innovative with it's light-weight design and I think it will be a great solution for many people who want something compact for their living room. I can't wait to see it finished.

I was so excited when the cockpit shows as in this image.

This was a great idea, great product, even thought to compete with more commercial cockpits.

But then came the small aluminum bars (replacing welding and rotating shafts), the pay-per-add-ons, the overprice, and other odd jobs to save costs, and no longer looked like a very innovative idea...

And what's worse: the wrong sales system. A product like that, with proper marketing policy could be a blockbuster, but its creator has been overtaken their expectations.

Has made the mistake of financing part of the production with preorders, and has failed to adequately respond to deadlines. Also, has failed to report on time or adequately for these delays, as did, for example, other companies like Fanatec (with a sales system similar, based on previous demand).

While Renato do not launch an online store, sales may not take off this cockpit. But as I say, he prefer to keep the system of selling shoddy e-mail for not paying taxes, to have an appropriate trade policy; would be best for him (make more money) and users (could get improved quality and product features.)

I do not know how looks mounted on its specific version, but of course a T500 there is quite wrong.

As I said long ago, the cockpit does not seem appropriate for hostelling those pedals so big, and this picture proves it.

Yes. The wheel makes me feel G27(which I had when I ordered Rinoseat) like toy.👍

The two bars of the T500RS pedal(the pedal is currently without steel foothold plate) are same horizontal width of pedal plates pair (set to widest width holes). It may sound a bit complicated :-)
Also there's hole at driver side end for bolting which fits with GT pedal mode in my setting.
Though I need to buy additional bolts & nuts myself :)

It does look so big for seat frame, but I feel no problem/trouble with the pedal operation during game.
As the owner of both T500RS and Rinoseat GTR, I can say it's just OK.

Also Renato mailed me to send wheel adapter for T500RS. :)

As long as you can bare the waiting, this is quite a good deal for the budget.

Great

How does those paddles feel !

Are they made of metal ?

Cheers

As a fabricator of all things metal for 20+ yrs as well CNC machinist for 5, I must say this is an elegantly simply design that works.

These simple designs lend to a great price point with a no frills strictly function set up.

If I did not have the means to fab my own rigs, this would be what I would order.

Thanks for your response, alex.
You're welcome:tup:

Yes. They're chrome plated... or stainless steel?
It may feel just a little bit sticky (like post-it) than G27's paddle.
I'd like to say the feeling as;
T500RS paddle = shotgun
G27 paddle = pistol or mouse click

Anyway, paddles attached to main unit - not wheel - need some time to get accustomed. And lack of H-shifter for the price is a bit too much:grumpy:

Mines arrived today, came via parcel force. Looks all intact will put it together tonight.

For some reason I find the box surprisingly massive.

I've been following this and other similar threads several months now, so i guess it's about time for me to contribute :)

I'm one of the early buyer and ordered and payed my seat on october 11th. I was told that the money was received and that the seat would be shipped oct 15th. Ever since then when i checked my order status i've been told more excuses than i thought possible :) I think he confirmed that the seat was shipped 3 different times and when i asked him of a tracking nr a week or two after every "shipping" he tells me that it will be shipped in the next days.

It's been more then 5 months now and still no tracking nr or anything like that. But since several users (real or not) here seems to have gotten there seats in the last few weeks now i'm still full of hope. I'm really glad for you guys and i hope i'll get mine sooon. It's a pity though that there's no "order first, get one first" policy.

Paid late November, original dispatch was start of December. Only received it today so nearly 4 months, but not as long as poor Ronny. My contact with renato has been similar to other people here so I won't go into detail on that. The rest of my comments are to do with the build:

It smells of thousands of long hours on the drawing board and seriously hard graft to bring this fantastic design to life (literally, there was still the smell of cutting fluid, the smell of a busy workshop, even a bit of residue.

Quite daunting when you lay everything out and for a minute I thought I was missing pieces but the masking tape around the ends is screws already positioned by Renato and Co, so the stages with the hammer at the beginning of the instructions can be skipped. The building is great fun though if your into it, but there are several hiccups that I came across.

The stage when you are forcing the two ends of the seat together in order to screw the 2 bolts through is hard. The warning in the instructions to "keep your fingers from injuries" should be taken aboard. After several attempts with just my strength I realised I needed some strong leverage and used the handle of a kitchen spoon. Would be very easy to hurt yourself here.

Attaching the seat to the frame is also very difficult to do on your own, I managed it but was using both hands and also my head to hold whilst screwing, definitely a two man job this bit.

Getting the seat cover on was a bit of a pain too, felt like I was going to rip it. Several attempts at different angles and I eventually got it on. It goes on after you attach the seat and the frame together.

I have just sat in it to rest my back, very comfortable. A fitting reward after such a long back bending build...only to realise that I am a lot shorter than the default settings and I have got a lot of unscrewing and rescrewing to get it set for my height, which I have found to be a bit of a nightmare. They all line up but sometimes I have to play around to get holes lined up. I got better as I went on.

I can't even play the thing due to other commitments so won't be posting here for a while.

Took me 4 hours whilst watching the tv, but I still haven't really finished, not even mounted wheel yet.

Off to bed. :dunce:

Magicaldog I do not think that Renato would even sell you one given all the negative comments and grief you have posted. Do you work for a competitor?

By now everyone has worked Renato out and have to accept the delay.

Hi Guys,

How is your seat CPA? Do you have any new comments on it after using it for a while?

Thanks

I have had little time but it is the best thing since sliced bread.

Magicaldog why don't you repeat you PM in public and see what everyone thinks of what you wrote to me!
