Yeah I'll need to fix that later. Thanks.

I'm pushing the first race back another week, it's being replaced by a second pre-season race to have time to make a video. I'm also going to add one more race to the schedule.

Race tonight: who's planning on showing for sure?
Two words - Tropical Storm :(
I will try to get on though, assuming power and internet are still available at 6:30, I should be ok then. Kind of a wait-and-see right now.

I should be on around that time so im in for tonights race if there is one. Also, does anyone have a decent start up tune for this car?

If you guyz think that your offline setup will work online then I wish you good luck, but I'd be careful and get ready for a letdown. I know this is just a shake down for the series but expect a different handling package when online.

Yeah how'd you fare through that overnight wind hammering?
Hope everything's alright on your side.

I'll share the set up with you guys in the room later.

The only reason it's different is because tire wear isn't on offline. Once you go online and the tires are live you start to feel things in the set up that were masked by the lack of wear offline.

We'll share tunes tonight.

Thanks for the donut, it tastes like monitor.

See you guys in a bit.

Everything's laid out (including a count down timer) in the first post.

I guess two fairly short power outages (one was transformer) pretty much just an extra windy thunderstorm that lasted a whole day, without any thunder or lightning.

Sun's out now, I haven't watched a forecast but I doubt anything more is on the way.

Well
the Lotus race went on a little later than usual. But now when I try to get the room up I'm running into all kinds of errors where it's not letting me connect to GT's servers.

Restarting. Sit tight.

In other news...

RAHHHHHHH

Looks like a good day to race.

Go ahead and join this room every one!

I'm in for this... just need to paint my car and I'll do the signup form.

Streaming the race live... now

This was one of the best GT5 get togethers I have had since the game came out. Wardez's lobby was as stable as a rock and the program was well run. Somehow I didn't get last and Seth must of had a worse time then I did w/ his setup. Now that I have this new setup I can work it over and see what the next event brings. I can't wait for the 1.5 hr events because I used to run Hair and Hound events as well as cross country races on my dirt bikes back in the day and those events demand no mistakes for an unbleveable amount of time.

Having such a large grid was just 2 cooo

Did he pick #69 or did you?

The little guy gave me the greates compliment of all by picking my #, I though he would pick 96 so now we are officially "Team 69"

I had to go right away but good race guys, can't wait for next weeks.

Yes good race dudes. Lots of tight racing in the beginning for me at least. Then I went backwards into the pits and the game glitch sending me through the pits without stopping for tires.

Looks like we're starting to get a good group together.

I'

Good race! sorry to CSL for bumping into the side of you at the very beginning of the race, I thought I cleared you. I think I had the best start out of anybody that race but to be honest that start ate like 10% of my tires before the first turn which didnt help because it made my car very tail happy. even with a lower brake bias in the rear, my car still became tail happy on the first and last turns. Also sorry to TNJF as i realised awhile lated that I bumped drafted you when I shouldnt have on the straight. Right before the first turn I would give you a little bit of a boost which probably made you brake late but thankfully not push you off the track, as soon as i realised that I was pushing farther then you needed to be i backed off but sorry for all those times I did do that. But all in all good race.

Wardez I saw you spin out into the pits and not get a tire change and I was like damn, I could have been with wardez coming out of the pits but it didnt work out so that really messed your race up. Hopefully we get a larger group in the next race. Good racing everyone!

Ill post up some artsy photos later on. The Vettes looks beautiful!

Sorry, I missed it, I had to watch my son so I couldn't get online. What were the lap times you guys were pulling? I had 1:00.2 as my best and consistent 1:01's to 1:02's for about 15 laps or so. Racing Hard tires don't wear off.

@fresh
lol, dude I just realized we have two Seths from Washington! How do we distinguish between you guys?! xD

Hmm... mind if we call you "Fresh" and seth "Seth"?

But anyway, the pole time was a 59.118 by Remy_K followed closely by Brosif with a 59.2xx and the rest of us around the one minute mark.

And just so you know, there's no difference in wear between the different tire compounds, the car's just not as bad on tires as we'd think, which makes me like it even more.

Ill post up some artsy photos later on. The Vettes looks beautiful!

Cool man, looking forward to it 👍

Edit:
Ok guys,
I added the new race schedule info. One more pre-season race and the possibility of including either Nurburgring GP/F or Grand Valley Speedway full

Qualifying for next week's full distance pre-season race is open starting today going till the race on Sunday. If anyone new still needs to get situated with the whole qualifying process then please let me know and we'll get a private session set up. You can also ask for help from any of the Capable hosts I'm listing on the OP.

I'm adding a list to the OP of approved qualifying hosts (Capable Hosts). These are all people that you can ask to join a room with in order to get a qualifying run in. They will set all the required room settings, set you off to do your qualifying then post the time in the thread which I will verify and post to the qualifying registry spreadhseet.

The race will be a full simulation with heavy damage and all incidents put to review for possible penalties. It's our first day of "school" :)

Feel free to point anything out I missed or ask a question.

I really don't see any effect to using False start check. We're going regular 👍

Updated the banner and added this base tune which I used at pre-season race 1 and thought was a pretty good start:

Also, two key points of interest when qualifying for Indy this week:

Be careful on turn 8's entry. Cutting such as this will invalidate laps:

While turn 11's concrete pad will be allowed to be ridden on and will thus be considered track, this is legal:

just gotta be careful not to get to greedy. it will penalize you if you get to far inside.

I love Z06 RM's! My time zone is GMT+8 so that if Im not mistaken would be 7am the next day but should be worth it.:)
However I noticed that all 14 spots are taken,is it still possible for me to enter the races?
Also I am sad to say that I will not be able to make the rounds on 5th and 12th September though due to camps but would love to race.

Aw man, that sand pit after that turn is deadly i remember in the preseason race for the integra, the pit took like 5 cars including me!
