good race! Sorry to csl for bumping into the side of you at the very beginning of the race, i thought i cleared you. I think i had the best start out of anybody that race but to be honest that start ate like 10% of my tires before the first turn which didnt help because it made my car very tail happy. Even with a lower brake bias in the rear, my car still became tail happy on the first and last turns. Also sorry to tnjf as i realised awhile lated that i bumped drafted you when i shouldnt have on the straight. Right before the first turn i would give you a little bit of a boost which probably made you brake late but thankfully not push you off the track, as soon as i realised that i was pushing farther then you needed to be i backed off but sorry for all those times i did do that. But all in all good race.

Wardez i saw you spin out into the pits and not get a tire change and i was like damn, i could have been with wardez coming out of the pits but it didnt work out so that really messed your race up. Hopefully we get a larger group in the next race. Good racing everyone!

I don't remember who was who in the first 2-3 laps of bumping, seemed everyone was a little anxious getting started, I think full damage next week should straighten most of that out.

I'm trying out the setups now and for what it's worth I'll give my test drive results :)
 
Hey I'm down for some extra practice as well. I didn't touch my tuning at all so 1:00.2 is pretty decent IMO. Next Sunday I should be there, just add me on PSN so we can practice!
 
i really like your setup csl. picked me up from 1.03's to 1.01's today at grand valley east reverse. much more stable thank you. what lap times are we lookin at for indy?
 
I didn't have the paint chip yet, but I should be adding verde ithica wheels soon. :)

No idea yet, I'm guessing 1:22-25's though.

Don't beat yourself up PD is famous for bad UI; it's easy to not know.
Hit the race results button to bring up the final time card and you can save the replay from there. (when the replay is available the results button in the lounge will be blinking).

Car's not primer white anymore ... built it 3 min before the race and didn't have time for paint. ;)

also... Wardez, you might want to change the OP. Unless the 1100 kg min is not the case anymore?

you had us run 10kg of ballast to put the min weight up to 1100 from 1090.
the OP has 1090 all over it. Wondering if you're keeping the ballast or if I should take it off.

There was no 10kg of ballast. At least not on my car. :odd:
 
I said that because I thought I had it set to 1080kg, not 1010. Was too lazy to change it but realized I had to :D. So disregard that whole thing. Thanks.

Aw man, that sand pit after that turn is deadly i remember in the preseason race for the integra, the pit took like 5 cars including me!

Yeah I choose Indy for this final pre-season race for a few reasons:
- 'merica
- lots of elbow room to get used to running in a pack with these cars with heavy damage for the first time
- willfully long pit road which will certainly act as a good deterrent to not being extra careful and causing damage.
- bumpdrafting 101
- easy first track to break in all the capable hosts in observing qualifying runs

I'm also including new bonus points to the championship structure. These will be race finish points, five for completing at least 75% distance of a race. These points should keep people from ragequitting, as those missing five points from quitting because of a bad start or getting damage might play into the championship later on.

Added this to the op to try and clear up the series format again:

[*]NO RACING SLOTS! Unlimited sign-ups are taken for this series. Every one has to qualify for their spot in the race each week!

Thanks for taking the time to shoot all of those photographs. Whenever I look at your 'vette I cannot help but think it would look great with a nice Guinness decal across the hood. The colors are perfect.

Does anyone else find it ridiculous that libation companies are allowed to sponsor race teams (drinking and driving??) while tobacco is banned.


The inspiration behind my color selection is, of course, 'merica. :dopey:

It just gives you the authority of being able to qualify people and post the confirmed time here for me to add to the sheet.

Also, new rules are that as long as you're a CH and have any one else (doesn't have to be CH) in the room with you to watch your lap, you can qualify yourself. You just have to have the person that watched you do your run post the times here, can't do it yourself in that case. 👍

'anada F Ya!! Lol but ya the reason a CH needs someone there wether or not that other person is a CH is mainly to have a witness for our lap times. Everyone on the CH are trust worthy but if there no witness the lap time is invalid. The point of CH is to lessen the stress of qualifying. Makes each week run smoother if you ask me. I'm sure everyone on ther list is ok with it, there's many people on the list, there's bound to be someone available when you need them. We don't really need to dedicate all our time to qualify people but if we are free I'm sure we will be more then happy to qualify someone.
 
I just realised that the 1 minute lap times were on a 'fresh' engine! I forgot the break-in gives you another 20hp. I'll hand it to b-spec to gain some mileage.

Write down the time for each lap and the sector times as well then pm wardez all that info and your done.
 
Hey, Wardez.
This series looks bad ass, especially with heavy damage! I'm still away from my ps3 unit Sept 5, so if you don't mind me missing both preseason races please sign me up.
