OMG

rSeat_RS_Formula_1.jpg

I guess I can see why it took so long. :sly:

I've been looking for an F1 style cockpit and was contemplating the Hyper Stimulator but I really like this rSeat design. VERY nice. Thanks for posting 👍 .

Indeed Yes, it's 999€ :) But, we are using it on "Le Mondial de la Simulation" in France, and it's a piece of art !

For more pics, or info, you've the Facebook Fan page of the rSeat.fr Racing Team here http://www.facebook.com/TeamrSeat

Follow us for info :) If you need, we are here for all you'll need :)

cheers

Is the chassis all one piece? Reason I'm asking is that my Dbox probably won't attach to this if it's two pieces.

Not AIO piece ! If you need it, feel free to follow us at facebook.com/TeamrSeat , and ask for more pics, we will put some new one for you, if you need it :)

For the moment, I cant' reply to you for the DBox, I've to check it ! Info came to my ears are : It could be compatible soon :)
more come !

Yes please let us know about Dbox thanks.

Looks fantastic. Is the keyboard tray removable? I use a mini keyboard, wouldn't need that.

Ah, they ruined all that cleverly designed nose work putting it down low underneath the pedalboard. What a waste, thats not where F1 car noses go, (sarcasm alert) real racecar cockpits actually surround the drivers legs and you look down the nose. Kinda silly if you ask me. Just make it a real cockpit if you are going to go to those extremes. No way I'd pay that much money for anything other than an actual cockpit that surrounds you and you get into like a real F1 car. This thing is halfway there, why stop short?

I love it. , been watching this on FB for the past 12 hours. talk about obsession. I've post message on your facebook asking about wheel adjustment.

if wheel can't be moved closer to driver's face. can the seat be moved forward so it's closer to the wheel . (*I like wheel close to my face about 30cm )
video looks cool too, it's in ISR forum btw

I'm with you Hwangm. I primarily race F1 and this rig is really calling me...but I spend a lot of time in my rig doing things other than racing (surfing etc.) and I wonder how practical it is for anything other than F1 type sims (Game stock Car, rFactor etc.)?

Being adaptable to motion is a must but on another site I read where it is anticipated to be Dbox compatible.

Need more info on this rig but that is one sexy biiieeoch!!! Trying to decide on what color combination to go for .

Keyboard tray is removable :)

Dbox is compatible :) (took info from the source yesterday, late in the night ^^)

For answering others :

You can put the wheel in front of you tooth is you want it ^^ all is adjustable on this seat ;)

Is you want, ask for pics on the Fb page, as I receive notifications on my iPad, and I'll be able to take new shoots for you, it you want details ;)

For the colours : more info to come on the Fb page, but, there is a lot of colours available, trust me :p

Playseat also have something like this on offer I think. Anyway it looks like it's a good rig to drive in for F1 games but it's going to be far from cheap.

Main problem of the playseat is the central bar of fixing the steering wheel ! Why !?

Anyway, after 48h with that seat, I've to say that it's amazing, and it worth the price !

(You just need to discuss about this seat with your girlfriend, before became a single man ^^)

Certainly looks better than the Playseat variant more adaptable too. Great racing inspired design so congrats to RSeat on a superb looking product.

Did anyone else notice the newer "Pearl THMP1 Throne Buttkicker" is attached to these demo units.

This is a higher end model over the "Gamer" and based on the "BK Advance" utilising a new yet similar clamping system. Originally for drum thrones no doubt it will perform well on a cockpit too.

Good eye Mr Latte! I kept staring at that BK wondering why it looked different than a regular Gamer2. Seen a couple shots that had two BK's on the rear for stereo tactile. Do you know when these will be available from Buttkicker?

I really like this design also I just wonder how it feels for anything other than open cockpit racing?

Buttkicker DO NOT support stereo tactile, you need dual units/amplifers for that with their products as all their own brand amplifers are "mono" based.

I started a new thread on the main forums about the product rather than invade too much this one.

Initially I hated the price, $1599 + shipping seems like a lot for a rig. But I just can't get over how awesome it is.

I think I'm going to get it, I'll end up selling my TH8RS and DSD Pro Sequential shifters to offset some of the price since I rarely use those anyways.

Gonna wait until after the holidays though, kinda think it out a little, $1720 including shipping is quite a bit. I'm sure I could build a great rig for that price, but the amount of time and effort needed to put into something to get anywhere near the rSeat Formula is simply not worth it in my opinion.

Going to sleep on this for a month or two and then maybe place an order.

Its very pretty, but if I were to spend that amount of coin, I think ISR member DaveKirkman's F1 rig posted on ISR early this year would be the way to go. But then, I guess I am biased toward a particular type of construction.....

Talk about immersion! Its in your face here!

I like his rig too. But he had special access to the seat through his job at McLaren. I have no idea how to make a decent formula style seat. If this thing was $1000 I would have already bought it. $1600 is just ridiculous. But there is nothing else out there like it.

Glad you like it. Maybe you can get one (and please post the pics).

Actually, DaveKirkman stated in his ISR thread that the seat could probably be substituted for a Kart seat, some of the high end Kart seats are not too bad.

Also nicka117 provided great detail about how to make a custom fit F1 style seat on the same thread as well.

The 80/20 stuff looks to me like it would probably be under $1000 but there is no way to really say for sure without the plans. DaveKirkman asked on the thread if there was interest for the plans or kit. So I would think that information could be obtained.
