I just got through my first test race, doing the full 15 laps plus pit stop with the DB9. I've got to say a few pointers...

- The best medium time was 2'04.5 and the average was closer to 2'05.5, while the best soft time was 2'02.8, with the average somewhere around the low 2'03's.
- The medium tires wore out surprisingly fast. I think I'll skip them here, as with their current wearing rate, they have close to no advantage against soft tires.
- It seems that everyone might end up pitting here due to the strong tire wear and many corners that need to be taken quickly. Yes, I'm looking at you Filip :)
- I managed to complete all 15 laps without any full offroading! It looks like that after the hungry and crazy Finn was born in me at Fuji, it's only getting hungrier now. Totally looking forward to winning this one.

Again... I'll have to miss the next race too. These times on the Saturdays aren't working out too well with my schedule. Sorry. I'll see when I can join a race. Hopefully next week.
Again, sorry.

Hi, yeah the room's always opened at approx 1330 (been earlier both weeks!) and the race starts as close to 1400 as possible with each race planned out to last approx 30 minutes. Add me on PSN and a grid slot is yours 👍
We have some excellent racers so far and all are clean drivers. Everything you need to know is in post 1. Hope to see you at the next race, British cars theme week (520pp, FR drivetrain as always).

Is your psn the same as your gtp name?

Not getting any chance for practicing this week, going to have to take pot luck with my chosen car but how i choose it is another matter!

Why not? :/

I've got my final schoolday on Saturday, but fortunately it obviously ends a lot before the race, around 10:00 LT or something. Still, that takes away some 'final practice' time.

I'll submit my car of choice tomorrow for sure. By the looks of it, I'll be one of the first to do so anyway - interesting to find out what the others are gonna pick for this one.

I've took on a large contract for a local estate agents ( i run a decorating company) and we have 3 full houses that are absolute crap holes (literaly in the case of one, crap on the floors and walls) and we have to have all 3 completed by next wednesday. One of the houses is currently 2 days behind schedule and we have to put all the hours in we can to ensure the complete job stays on track. If we complete them on time then we get virtualy every house on their books to do.

Yeah, XPOWER180 in caps' 👍

K, I'll add you tomorrow you said british race, I think I got a Tuscan hanging around somewhere.

Nice one, yeah it's the 1st theme race this week so only British cars are allowed that fall in to the regualtions. Hope to see you on track 👍

Okay, after today's testing, I'll be the first to submit my vehicle...

Carbonox: Aston Martin DB9 (Midnight Blue)

I tried out the TVR, but its laptimes were horribly inconsistent, and it would definitely hold up people at corners. That's why I'll go with the heavier, but still better-to-drive Aston Martin, hoping that the consistent 2'02-2'03 laptimes are going to be enough.

Don't forget guys, tonights 2000 uk time deadline for your entries.

Sup guys, my entry is going to be the DB9.:) looking forward to the race.

Here's my entry....

SmittMan: TVR Tuscan Speed 6 '00 (Chilli Red)

I suspect there will be a lot of astons at the race..

I'm going to have to go with the DB9 too.

I was looking for a more leftfield choice, but the Interceptor was too unstable under braking.

Was going to spend some time with the XFR tonight, but that would be after 8pm so no good for notification.
...hoping that the consistent 2'02-2'03 laptimes are going to be enough.
You think?

I am again going with an odd car. A Jaguar XFR (red)

That isn't an odd car, it's an awesome car! Was going to use it myself but didn't get enough time to practice whereas last Saturday i was really getting comfy with the Vanquish so i've settled for that.

I was testing the DB9 earlier but I (personally) couldn't throw the Aston around the corners as fast as the TVR cause there is a 600kg difference.

It's a small small field eh... I wonder what happened to Filip, Lahan and Vatrox.

Now's my chance to surprise and grab the series lead! :dopey:

Still trying to decide whether on going to race with the 6axis or DFGT. only real chance I have to experiment is now and I'm in the kebab phase of s really good night out!

Hey again, just wondering what kind of lap times we getting around here? Or should i say what is a quick kind of lap time around this track for the power cars that we race in? Cheers:tup:

My best is 2'02.276, but if you can reach the 2'02's, then you're good to go.
