Anyway, I'm up.

Sorry, was sure i messaged everyone?! Anyway, a place is yours for the whole series. Send me a PSN friend request ASAP. Get some quick practice in, 1st race this Saturday and please submit to me what car you will be using by tommorrow. Cheers! 👍

Thanks a lot! Friend request sent, however I might have a problem to get a car ready by tomorrow. Working all day long, about to go to bed and I won't be able to play GT5 on friday at all - if I knew that I'm in a bit earlier, I would have prepared the car today, oh well :)

Anyway, I am most likely to use GTS-t Type M (R32) ‘89 - the only question is whether or not it's possible to hit 520pp on this beauty.

Hi mate!, guess what! I'm so sorry its short notice but I won't be able to make the race on saturday and the next race after that as something work related has popped up. Just a question.... Will i be able to join the series mid-way or do i have to leave it becasue i would be able to make it to the next ones in the future. Again I'm so sorry this has come up, i was really looking forward to racing with you guys.

Hope you all have a great race... and keep it clean :sly:

cheers brad.👍

You can count me in now. My car is a Chevrolet Corvette (C5) Z06. I would have tried a BMW, but the M3 CSL doesn't show up at the proper dealership, and I definitely don't have the patience or interest to scavenge at the frustrating used car dealer. In Suzuka, I'm probably the slowest of the pack, as I just can't drive fast on the course, but experience is the only thing that matters. Le Mans might already be a different story, it fits to me much better than this course.:sly:

(oh boy, this is gonna hurt...)

Hi X180, and guys,
It´s with great sorrow that I have to step out of the series. Today I had a meeting in my new job (just got home, actually), and was asked to do shifts. That means I don't know wich days (saturdays) I'll be available to race. I know that tomorrow and the next saturday, I can participate, and probably other 2 or 3 or 4. Since I can't confirm and really be sure how many rounds I'll be available, I have no other choice than step out of the entire race series... (yup, that really hurts...)
X, I sent you a message saying that I wouldn't participate in all of the races for other (professional) reasons.
It's a shame, really, but it has to be done...
So, anyway, I'm glad that there are other guys willing to take my spot, so a full grid is allways expected.
I wish everyone good luck (although I'll bee cheering for a couple of you ;))
Sorry for the host, XPOWER180, but things like this are unexpected and out of my control.
I'll keep an eye on the forum to keep up with the results.
See you guys arround
Cheers

Shame to hear that but in these times a job is far more important than a race series. Best of luck with the new job. 👍

I dunno if my PSN will be active by tomorrow.Let y'all know...

Sorry Phil, i didn't realise your region was still down. As you've confirmed, regardless of wether your network is back up tommorrow i will hold your place open for you as you have always kept me informed of your intentions. :)

That's cool. I think I already got something with the Corvette (a couple of 2'07's) - that baby has excellent acceleration - but the BMW is always worth trying as well.

E: 2'06.6 reached. Should be good enough considering there was no suspension or transmission tuning.
E2: 2'06.3 seems to be the best I can reach. Good enough for the moment.

About the CSL. I hope you guys have noticed that there is an M3 CSL tune out by RKM now.
Nobody take it, only I can use it!

For what it's worth mate, i've yet to even get a 2:06 lap! :ouch:

OK, we're nearly there guys, i just need car confirmation from FishyJuice, GTP_DC9990, SinisterClaw and Vatrox.

As it's stands, only 12 of us will be racing tommorrow. I've messaged everyone, even the reserves but not had anything back. If you guys know of anyone on your friend lists that wants to race the whole series then there are 2 solid places available as the other 2 are being held for the guys who kindly let me know that they can't compete tommorrow.

Sorry for not being online to submit my car, I've been rather Ill (should be better for the race)
I'm going to use a Lexus lfa in White.
After some short runs (about 10 laps) I managed a 2:05.xxx on softs I could go faster but don't know how bad it'll eat the rubber.

Looks like there's only going to be 10 of us on track tommorrow guys, seems bizzarre after such a long wait - can't get anyone to make up the places now!

On the plus side, no one will finish with less than 8 points!

Well that's cool in a way. I'll still try to avoid last place as best as I can. :sly:

As for the M3 CSL, I'll see if it has its uses later on, but right now, the Corvette is officially what I'm going with. Color is BTW Le Mans Blue with stripes.

Hi everybody!
Ok, due to the (strangely) shortage of racers for the upcomming 1st race, I was authorised by our host to participate in the race, hoping I'll be able to be in more than 4 of the races, and in order to my points count to be valid.
That being said, thanks again X180 and see you guys soon!
Cheers

GTS-t is not capable :(
485pp, managed to get it to 505pp max by adding an ugly-ass wing which destroyed the handling. Couldn't make it go faster than 2:14.025 on Suzuka.

As I have no time left, I'm gonna enter in S2000 - once again I'm sorry for the delay on car, really couldn't make it yesterday.

Managed to get 2:09.600 after few laps, will try to adjust the setup, let's see how it goes. What are your best laps guys? Also, anyone willing to get some online practice before the race?

Did you use Racing Softs? I just managed to snatch a 2'05.9 with the CSL, would have been a true ghost lap if I didn't screw up at 150R, braking a bit too much and dropping to the 5th gear.

E: 2'05.0! I didn't know I lost almost a second at 150R - I was still behind the ghost car before that corner, and yet cut off 0.8 seconds! Can I still change my car? :D I think the CSL actually fits better to this course.

Racing Mediums, hate the softs :) Are you going to use softs for the race? How do you handle the tyre wear?

Anyway, after few more laps managed to cut the time down to 2:08:112, think I am able to do 2:07 though. I've got a strange problem with front tyres losing grip on the first sector of the track, it may be just my lack of skill, but feels kinda strange. I'm gonna try to add ballast, just too bad it's not possible to adjust front downforce on S2000 - ran out of ideas how to tune the suspension.

I'm not familiar with the tyre wear of this game, but I'll probably start with the mediums, and if I can keep them for a long stint (appr. 60-75% of the race) I'll switch on the softs on my only pit stop.

Now I put the mediums in practice, and already breached my Vette times - my best one with mediums so far is 2'06.247! :o I can smell slight competitivess right here...

Sorry, no car changes permitted but you have the option of changing for other races! One thing i like about the Lexus i'm entering is that their are no aero parts that can be added meaning no playing with downforce. It's a tricky car but it's awesome. I did an online race with it last night on 550pp and heading into the final straight i was a second or so behind a Murcialago. The straight line speed of the LFA is incredible, it just blew the Lambo away so much so that it couldn't even tail in the slip stream. Crossed the line 3 seconds ahead!

Dang the used car lot... Meh, at least I'll get to spare the CSL for other courses with multiple corners, like the Nürburgring. :d
