Sony confirms March 9th for PAL-Version! So US will come in the middle of march^^

http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/gamefront/release.htm

Bull****!
What has Sony to do with gamefront.de?
Take a look at gamefaqs.com - they don´t even have GT4 in their release list.
Now does that mean GT4 won´t be released at all this year?

As far as I can see the only bit of offical information regarding the Pal release date is the homepage of SCEE.

I´m wondering about the motivation for making such posts.
Probably it is all about being THE ONE, the inimitable hero who knew the correct release date alllll aloonnnng, and we folks just wouldn´t listen.
(please, no offense intended ... or maybe, just a tiny bit)

The release date is 11th March, I think GAME have listed it a week later incase it does get delayed again, it will not be released in February.

I think really its all down to common sense. have looked though over 20 Uk sites now and they all say 25th feb or somwhen during the month february. Sites which i checked include. Amazon, gameplay, game.uk, scee, playstaion.com and other reliable sources so its odvicius to me it is scheduled to be february at the moment for UK at least. From my point of view 1 or 2 foriegn websites which ive never even heard of no disrespect to them is not enought to convince me.

Nope.

But my usual supplier (a litle shop in Amoreiras) told me that Sony Portugal had informed him they would supply him somewhere in the first week of March.

However, normally the UK release date is the same release date here, so ... I have my hopes that February will be the month when I'll say goodbye to friends and family and play gt4 to death! :D

I have heard the 9th March date before as a news item but I can't remember where. If it isn't Feb Sony are leaving it late to tell us the new date!

Looking at that German site it seems to read that Sony might bundle GT4 with a PS2 (the new slim one). Hmmm......are there enough slim PS2's to go round?

I check this page everyday (1st thing I do after breakfast, lol) :

http://eu.playstation.com/calendar/releaseCalendar.jhtml?selectedMonth=2&selectedYear=2005&type=0

No date yet, but February it is.

Other sites just guess. Why do people bother to check them, when the official source is available?

On that site GT4 isn't on the list but I saw an other good title --> Midnight Club 3 DUB Edition that comes out at 25feb. If GT4 doesn't come in february then I already have that game to keep me busy. If MC3DUBed isn't delayed like some other very wanted PS2 games offcourse :yuck:

scroll down to the bit where it says "also due this month and its in there. Aso listed Here as february on the same site

Nissan are releasing a limited edition 350Z GT4 in the UK and it comes with a PS2 and a copy of GT4. Press says release is Febuary so this should indicate that the game should be released by then!

That looks very interesting. If you get a NTSC (English) version of the game with that 350Z I don't see why it shouldn't come out on that date...that is unless it is for promotional reasons only and non 350Z buying customers will have to wait a bit longer...but that just wouldnt make sense. I wouldn't mind one of those 350Z's though :)

I just saw a gameprogram on tv and there was a presentation of GT4 and they said the PAL version will come out in march and will have more european cars than the japanese version and also a lot of other different stuff (I hope they only added and not changed stuff) the gameprogram had the Japanese version and they said when you got the PAL version that its going to be so different that you have to start from zero all over. So they made me curious. As long as there are enough subaru's, pick-upsand SUV's in it its all ok :)

PD please just add stuff :)

Not wishing to sound like a sceptic, but did this program have a interview with someone from PD or Sony about the games release and these additions?

If not then I'd take them with a pinch of salt. They've probably just read a website which gives a theory as to why there was a delay between the Asian and European release's.

If they did speak to PD/Sony, then this is great news. More European cars would be very nice, as GT4 IMO lacks some of the greats. You never know, maybe Ferrari might appear (joke ;)).

Did anyone else see this program, and can comfirm what has already been said?

Cheers, Jamie

Hope it´s true what "Liquid Li0n" saw!more european cars(More Volvos & maybe SAAB)!!!
As long as they don´t change to much or take things out!

Well, I was about to post the same. I just saw that gameshow (twice). Last week they did the first part of their GT4-preview and today was the second and last part.
They mentioned 3 things about the PAL-version:
- it would be more difficult
- they would add more European cars
- it will be a different soundtrack
Now I don't know if it will happen, but let's hope so. Personally, I'm pretty sceptical, so I think it will be a lot of BS.

I want them to release it as it is unless they sort out not being able to save in endurance races

I'm pretty sure I read on here, that you can save during enurance races, but only when you are in the pits. Unless I dreamed it

Maybe there will be more us cars fore the us version of the game, because the asian version has lots of asian cars, now the europian MIGHT have more europian cars so maybe the U.S. more U.S. cars. I think it makes sence although I'm ABSOLUTELY NOT sure

Great news all !!

today a belgian games tv show "gamepower" was reviewing an imported version of GT4 and at the end of the review they stated that sony told them the european version would have :

a - more european cars.
b - some other soundtracks
c - be more difficult in terms of better AI (harder to gain first)

I'm especially thrilled about more european cars , and reading the forums i think most of us are.

Now if this is true i don't know but i think a gamesshow wouldn't lie about something like this. Also i hope , if it is going to happen , it will also be like this in the american version because i just know our american friends would love some more muscle legends in there.

DAMN , was already posted while i was typing sorry bout that !!!

Wake Up ;) Sorry mate, you were dreaming. It has been confirmed by various reputable sources that you cannot save in endurance races; even in the pits. 👎

By saying they will add more European cars is quite interesting, I can't think of many interesting ones but you never know. Nice to get something extra for once.

if the euro version comes out any time before the end of march, any changes that were needed to be made have already been done for a long time. i doubt very much that they made the AI harder in the euro version (unless they think their own country it too stupid to race against normal AI :D j/k). the euro cars im guessing will be made available to purchase only in the SCEE version but i think the other versions will aslo contain them, they just wont be available to win (such as the Diablo in GT3.) thats what i think anyways.
