Scotland-Based 'Ideal' Racing Circuit Coming to Assetto Corsa This Year

No i dont, but if they put cows in in place of clouds you wouldn't notice it if you were focusing only on going fast? When something doesn't look natural then i am going to notice it. It's not the same as having 2D trees which go by passed you quick, clouds are there right in your sightline moving very slowly. Go look at Race room skybox and tell me you wouldn't like that in AC. (Before anyone says it, no i wont go and play that instead )
I may be dreaming here, but i am pretty sure it's right there in my post you quoted, "Stefano said", this Isn't my assumption, they are his own words so there is no need for me to ask him when he has no work.

Also i very much doubt Stefano is responsible for clouds, but as you can see they did take time to improve clouds for the last update, why do you think that may have been? Was it perhaps because the person responsible for that kind of thing had not received his work load yet after finishing another task and took initiative? Like Stefano said what is required to work for Kunos.
Yes if pigs could fly too.
Actually you said
P.S I'm not saying clouds or the skybox should be a priority, but they worked on it for the last update so i hope they improve things on the side. I know Stefano that to work for Kunos you have to take initiative, if you arrive at work in the morning and there's no work scheduled for you, you have to be like "well what can i work on to improve the game". Maybe that's why the clouds were improved and possibly will be again.

It is a bit of a sad story on one hand with Black Cat County , personal I like the layout of it but sadly it is only good to do some hotlap on it because ....
.. Jezus don't try to race there against the AI.

I accidentally missed to add "said" which whilst it was easy for you to not realise that upon first reading it, surely after i explained it and you sort to highlight it, it would have been evident considering "I know Stefano that to work" makes no sense. No?

I'm not a mind reader. You wrote it, not me. Any how, have you watched the new Porsche videos. Beautiful clouds, wish they would get rid of the stupid hot air balloons, reminds me of cow's.:P

IMHO, I race there regularly and love it in all classes, especially enjoy Escort, Alfa and Porsche races. Only running medium strength though, as I like a chance of winning with the occasional mistake. The AI may get more aggressive at higher levels, but normally it's me stuffing up from overdriving. I'd personally like to see more Hillclimb circuits in future, as it gives more challenge for me to put power down while pushing up through corners. Feels more like driving on a great country road. Each to there own though just glad it's in the mix. Bathurst would be fine too.

Well not to worry, if you didn't know now you know as the great Vanilla ice once rapped. Also Lol at noticing balloons, i raced in the fog the other day and thought " those balloons wouldn't be there in the fog!", i wish they would move from lap to lap rather than stay in one spot. Not realistic, and they call this a simulator? Pah.

There's balloons in the sky? I never noticed, I only look at the road, because driving. :P
lulz

I was disappointed in Black Cat County as well. In my opinion, if the road was 2 lanes wide instead of 4, it would be a more interesting track. However, I wonder if you could have a bunch of fun with 10+ real people on that track. Maybe not...I absolutely loved the idea of BCC when it was still being worked on. It's a shame...That track definitely took a good amount of time to build.

@BrandonW77 -- Holy crap! I didn't even know about that fire, from the video you posted. The people in that video must have been terrified. After watching the video I googled for more info - I didn't even know that was Tennessee. My brother lives in TN, about 30 mins south of Nashville. I read that 2 teenagers ages 15 & 17 were responsible for the fire. They were "playing with matches. Lighting and throwing them on the ground as they walked along some hiking trail." ~2,400 lost homes & businesses & 14 people died. WTF is wrong with people? Thank God they caught the kids.

Well I am excited by this track for sure, home based track, some lovely countryside/mountain scenery.

It seems being wide may be catering to the drifting crew, but could also make for great online races imo, either way I'm not going to complain about free addition content, if only they would get Bathurst in the future, that's a belter of a track.

This track isn't going to be wide, there's a 10 second clip in the main thread. This looks like a track you could just drive on casually too.

Clouds.
The only clouds I'm seeing are coming off my tires, as I am an impatient child clipping the apex resulting in a violent and uncontrollable corner exit.

I need to learn how to drive.

New to all of this having just got a ps4 Pro for Christmas (well I bought it and that was my excuse!) How do you get these free cars? If you just have the game will you get it or do you have to be signed up for something?

Audi Quattro....yes!

The Audi should be available by months end.
Go to the PS store and see all that's available currently for Assetto Corsa.
There's some great Porsche DLC.

They'll be added to the car selection with an update.

That track looks brilliant, not a rumble strip or advertising hoarding in sight!

I'd echo the sentiment that Black Cat County is perhaps a little too wide, and that poorly surfaced section is really annoying when you have the volume turned right up!

As much as I love racing on a track, I find when I just want to drive for fun I much prefer the narrower confines of a road course, and the greater sense of speed it brings with it. Great that it's in Scotland too, beautiful place for driving.

pssst, console users:
I'll settle for this:

Before I turn on a PC with intent to play a video game upon it.

My tolerance for having to tinker has completely evaporated along with any free time to do so. The last time I turned on old lappy, my family had to take refuge in the basement for fear of being blinded and seared by the white-hot rage that emanated from me.

I thought I read somewhere it was going to be a mixture that would include wide tracks, either way I am not too fussed as I am not into drifting.

The track excites me and small winding mountain road just sounds awesome, Bannockbrae in Project cars is great so I look forward to this.

I've been running my sturdy desktop PC for about 2 years now without major headaches. Process is the same as with a console, turn on the game and start playing. Laptop of my misses was a different case but that was mainly due to W8 being a crap OS and it being a cheap ASUS.

My mate has a high end pc he got to get into the Oculus rift, admittedly he isn't a long time PC user/expert, but I have sunk well over 30hrs or so into his VR setup, mainly Project Cars and virtually every time he booted up, we never went straight into a game.

Put me off for life even though I know The Oculus throws extra obstacles in the way, but even when trying it on his 4k tv a lot times still had to mess about to get a game going, or change things from game to game.

That's because you don't have my PC. My tinker to play time ratio is about 4:1. :banghead:

I've not seen any mention of there being a wide track, though i expect there to be some less wide sections. What i have seen is that they saidthd tracks will be for every type of player and car, so maybe the city tracks are wide, but no wider than many other real city tracks.

Still a lot we dont know yet, how long is the track through the mountains? can we drive from the city track to the mountain track? Which one is the endurance track?

We haven't seen the drift track yet nor more teasers of where the Audi S1 teaser was first shown. I'm excite.

Yea I have a really nice gaming laptop that generally works great, but every other time I turn it on there are problems, almost always Windows related. I spend more time googling how to fix things and get my game running smoothly again than I spend actually playing.
