I am really enjoying the driving to be had in these seasonals. Some good racing and it seems pretty easy to judge the right car for the right race. HUD off, cockpit view, 50-100bhp less than the max and a car with similar weight with no more than sports hard tyres should cover most players.

I guess I'm more about the experience than the xperience. :)

With direct reference to the payout, it seems pretty relative, they are only 3 lap races and you are not forced to buy or modify any cars so I'm not sure what would warrant huge amount of credit or xp.

The only change I would implement is a reversion to the system of payouts being inversely proportional to the state of tune of the car you use. If you use an outclassed car you get a reasonable payout (similar to the current seasonals, maybe a touch higher) but if you use an overpowered, over tyred car, you get a minimal payout.

I don't generally think the payouts in SE7 is unreasonably small, except for for the FFC. Spending 10+ million credits on a car, to do 3 races and win less than 500,000 credits... Yeah, not going to happen, would rather buy 100+ different cars with those credits. XP payout for them seems to be great though.

I fail to see how this attitude and repeated statement does anything other than deliberately cause a resentful reaction. If you don't like what people are saying by way of criticism, don't read it. Simple.

Don't read it... is like saying, don't visit GTPlanet.. lol

Seasonal events 1 and 2 was the best ever, season 7 is so far back.. but is nice to drive something new.. but way too easy.. :(

Wow still complaining! !!

Luv it, I wonder the percentage of those complaining that still don't have all golds in the licenses and special events

At first I was taken aback by the low cash and xp rewards but then again I used a car I hadn't even thought about in quite awhile, the Honda Mugen car. I forgot how cool it sounds. Yes we were spoiled lately with the seasonals but I got this game to race, not reach level 40 in a month.

Okay i don't understand why people are flipping out over this. This is the first week we don't get a big payout and everyone loses it. I for one am happy for the previous seasonal events paying out like they did because now I can buy a F2010 or whatever it is called (Also I missed seasonal event 1&2&3). Who knows maybe next week they will toss something different at us and give us more XP and Cr. Everyone is just jumping to conclusions and saying this is how things are going to be from now on, and you know I could be wrong too and things will be like this but I doubt it. Also people need to stop pretending like they MUST do the seasonal races. You don't, no one is forcing you to buy a Formula One car just decide on your own, wait till next week till new events are posted. Anyways I'm off to complete them myself now.

It's because we wasted 2 weeks not having a seasonal event, and those didn't let you grind, so our money flow stopped.

mfw people complain about how seasonals rewarded players with too much exp/money
mfw people complain about how seasonals rewarded players with too little exp/money

srs?

OMG I want free money now!!! :p No but seriously its fine like this it make credits valuable again good job PD

As someone said somewhere else on these boards, it seems like something good/easy for people starting out their careers. These races pay out a bit more than the Beginner/Amateur ones, and it doesn't take much of a car to win them. It's good grinding for the newbies.

starting out with buying a 10mil or higher F1? Don't think so...

C'mon people. Please stop arguing about a 10mil F1 car. You DON'T have to buy it. This event could be for those who have already purchased the car and can't use it anywhere, or are willing to purchase it without complaining. Sure you may feel left out if you can't afford it, but thats life. Who knows maybe Ferrari tossed PD some cash to make it an event to promote the brand.

I don't get it either. Everyone wants to rush to the end. Although there not really is an end. I'm still at level 29 a-spec and taking it slow. I'm not even rushing to finally get to drive the X2010. I never played a GT through likw I do with another video game.
I keep playing until the interest starts to fade, or the interest for another game becomes stronger and then some time I will pick it up again and start from where I left it. Someday then, I will also be lvl 40 in both specs 'n everything. But that might also take two years or so. That's GT how it has always been for me.

lmao, i was just asking myself the same thing about this guy.. He must really want his whining to be heard.

This is the first winge I have ever posted , I'm just disappointed by the level of difficulty and think the whole typical apponent think is a wast of time because they don't circulate at anywhere near their potential speed , I find the first time you win a race the most rewarding so I try to make the race as competitive as possible from the start by using the typical apponent as a guide. End of rant

Meh, ran a 300 hp car in class with the competition and passed the first place car on first lap of cape ring, 32k cr... boring.

We have another reason for finishing Bspec - you get an F1 car. The credits may be smaller than we are used to but the FFC at Nurburgring is the highest repeatable XP/hr earner up to level 35.

Hearing a lot of people who say the payout is too less, maybe a new thread should be made with a poll, where the question is:
How much would you like to be seen paid for in seasonal events, per event:
then make up 4 or 5 answers with different credits...

this whole thread is completely pointless - PD obviously changes things up, so deal with it

what 90% of the complainer complaining doesn't seem to grasp is the fact that many of the fun cars (not all) are expensive. and currently the only way to obtain them is to repeat the hell out of the game (hence forth referred to as a grinding). now i like a challenge, i like driving, i like racing. i DON'T like seeing the same damn thing 50 times for the SOLE purpose of getting some cash together to get a car to merely COMPLETE A race. (FGT is a prime example, as there is no way outside of the big pay out seasonals that you could obtain enough cash by the time you reach it straight that you could afford to purchase one with any sort of realistic %).

that combined with the fact that once you've raced a series 2-10 times you're gonna get the same overall experience the next 20. and if you're a collector you can just about forget that option, short of duping and extreme luck.

i loved gt4 in that you still had to 'grind' some to 'earn' it but it wasn't so gawd-aweful excessive (you could resell a GTC for 1.2 mill) .

imho they don't really need the payout to be quite as massive as before (at least compared to the ease of obtaining it) but it does need to be upped some.

personally i think the worst part is the exp system which also limits you a bit too much. I still have a portion of the game locked to me (29) that won't be opened at any sort of realistic time point (I have a rather full schedule and other obligations that take most of my waking time). and a good portion of the players of gt5 that i know also have this limitation.

i'd rather see a mini grand tour in the seasonals (themed a bit more) with both bigger payout more technical races and pure 'fun' races.

oh and more f1 cars (this is where lack of money is also very limiting) / events and much more rally!

I like the races and honestly don't care about the other factors involved, but form a comparisons point of view, they are maybe on the light side reward wise.

The new events made me pick up GT5 again after an unwanted hiatus. I am above all happy about that.

just keep them coming PD:tup:

If I just want to race, or I want a varied challenge, I go online. A-Spec in all its forms is for earning money and cars as far as I'm concerned.

Good thing they gave us the quick money and I already have almost all the cars I want. I'd hate to be a noob right now....

The problem seems that PD doesn't know what to do with the seasonals.

First they were very challenging (which I really really liked) and gave a good deal of money and exp.

Then they became ridicuously easy with enormous pay outs.

Now they're still ridiculously easy with ridiculously low pay outs compared to the types of cars you need to use.

It's such a pity. There is this big gap between level 30 & 40 and while I don't mind doing certain things multiple times I don't like the idea of having to to everything over new a couple of hundred so I can finally promote to a higher level:nervous:

Of course, GT5 is still the best game ever:dunce:

SE#7 is boring. Takes about 2-3 hrs to complete, and the payout? Stingy PD!

THEY ARE REPEATABLE!!!(happy) So now if you have a particular one you like you can keep doing it over and over, eventually adding up more then that one original did. If you disagree then you can but i like it.

Cool story bro and I'm cool with it all. I came to race and am getting to do that.

Grinding Indy 500 is not boring then?

For grinding Seasonals you get 500,000 Cr in 2-3 hrs.And for Indy you get?????

That sums it up nicely... the original seasonal events with restrictions were fun, and the time trial events are the only thing that still offers me a challenge to get my name on the leaderboard, the rest of the events have become an ignoble affair.

Didn't read every post but for driving only 3 (10 for F1 = more payout) laps I think the payout is superb.

If those events were permanently added to a-spec events, they would've been ok, as a 2 weeks only events they suck, imo. Won't bother to repeat those.
Just my 0.02$.

You don't have to repeat them. Wait 2 weeks and then you have new events to drive once... if PD goes on like this it is like new a-spec events that are changing every 2 weeks.

Except I can grind existing A-spec events against harder opponents and get considerably higher payouts...
