come guys u surprised more than likely update 1.06 will have new events maybe not seasonal anymore but gt drivers club I remember how impatient people were with 1.05. Hey who know maybe after the new update we may be blown away or real disappointed we just gotta wait and see. Time to grind some more.

I dont get it?? Its a bit late so what whys everyone getting so jumpy about it be glad that they're even bothering with the seasonal events..the other option would be for them to think "well all these people do is moan about the free content we're producing for them **** it we wont bother anymore"

or they should be thinking 'you know if we had not delivered such a short game then people would not be waiting so impatiently for the seasonal events, and then maybe we could have charged for some of them'.
 
Last week we get it at 5.00pm on a thursday (german time)... Now we got 4:21pm... be patient ;)

If you didn't get them until 5pm last week then something was up, as I had finished all mine before 11am GMT on Thursday.

That's right. So far the events have fit perfectly in the 10AM +/- 1 day boundary, that is, until now. They really should correct typos that will be seen by tens, if not hundreds of thousands of people.
 
I talked to my friend in Japan and he said today is the Old Year in China and it seems China got Jpan by the balls in some way or another.

So the holiday will last 8 days. He said most likely not oging to see new event for another 8 days.

Ok, sure. They fell in the time slot given of +-1 day. However, they were released at 10pm EST the past few weeks, just as the events from 2 weeks before closed.
Seeing as it's past 10am EST and still no update...:sly:

While it is the Chinese new year, which they celebrate for two weeks, that will have nothing to do with this.

Gotta be soon, I have a pass off the missus to play GT tonight and they are few and far between at the moment. So am I going to be doing seasonals or am I grinding or B-Specing? I really hope its the seasonals!
 
well , i have the general though , that the japanese are workin ants , and dont have holidays.
the alternative for the PD is "Seppuku".

The Japanese celebrate Feb 3 (Setsubun or Risshun Setsubun) but it's like Halloween/Valentines day in the sense that you don't take the day off for it.

Hope so Ash, after 2 months of playing she is getting a bit cheesed off lol, I can get away with b-spec as I can just leave Bob to it and go back every now and then to check on him. But only got endurances left to do on A-spec and I know for a fact if I have that on pause when I go to work she won't realise and turn the plug off! :nervous:

So the only thing to look forward to is the seasonals at the mo :grumpy:
 
People want their seasonals... I've been b-specing Dream Car Championship while refreshing this a couple times a race.

well for your info. they enver take days off. did u know they work on new years and chrismas? and even national holidays? yep not all but most go to work.

But this times of the year a lot of chiense tourists and i mean hords of them roll in to japan.

Maybe they got meetings now or who knows

One way to find out if its not here in few days then its 2 weeks wait time

What delay? There hasn't been a delay. I'm assuming you're one of those people who claimed GT5 was delayed 8 times before it was released, right? If there is no update in the next 12hrs and 20 minutes, then the update is late. As of now, it's still in the release frame given by PD.

You can assume anything you like, but you will not end up looking very bright.

My point was that an update as simple as refreshing online events should be a very simple task. It seems like it is something difficult for PD (so much so that they can't even give an exact time in which they will do it) so I wonder what is really going on.
 
The News update for Jan 25th had several typos:

1) "will be update" --> should have been "will be updated"

2) "A.M." --> should have been "P.M."

This means they have until 7:00 pm tonight according to their +/- 1 day clause.

Otherwise they also made the following typos:

3) "weekly basis, every Wednesday" --> should have been "biweekly basis, every other Wednesday"

It doesn't really bother me if there were no consistent Seasonals: though I do look forward to these. What irks me though is that they said JUST LAST WEEK that it would be done on a "weekly basis, every Wednesday". I would like to think that the few rare news messages we do receive in the game are accurate.

there you have it, Blame Canada! for this delay.
 
To be honest recently a lot of Japanese game companies outsource to China. I would not be suprised this is the reason we not getting the updates and patches. And all the typos...that seems to be the indicator...for the poor quality and service.
