I don't think there are people 3 seconds a lap quicker than me even on Iracing. 1.5 sec maybe but not 3 seconds.

You'll never know. I thought that as well in GTR2 and GTL until I met some aliens..

And really I just want to know how it is done, the TT one is especially well off the mark with default comfort soft and no aids.

It's done by keeping as much grip on the front as possible. Will try to reproduce it.

I've race Huttu himself and some redline racing guys and I could hold myself, barely, still I have yet met anyone 3 seconds quicker in pure pace.

However these are odd combos and I am sure with practice times will come down, so yeah I shouldn't dismiss the possibility too soon.

I have to agree with this .

It seems to me PD has tried to please all with regards to EXP and Credits, i for 1 am grateful for it, i am one that prefers a close race but don't like the grind.
the seasonal events should be accomplishable by all not just the Elite.


What i don't get tho , this is no different from any other GT game in the series.

I golded all 5 on first attempt each go, all with just a tyre upgrade.. I only carried on doing them for the XP/Cash, because it was BORING! The first 2 events were great, you had to work hard with the car to get golds. POOR EFFORT on PD's part, could have been so much more fun....

I've never grinded, yet I'm at lvl 27. Still have lot's of A-spec to do.
And I think the seasonal events were already accomplishable for those those with less talent or time. Just by turning SFR on it should have bene accomplishable..

I really enjoyed the challenge of the first two lots of seasonal events with restrictions. I logged on to my ps3 today to find the new updated seasonal events and to be honest i found them quite boring compared to the first two lots.

I really hope PD bring back restrictionx with the next lot

I think this proves that PD are listening and know what they're doing . People shouldn't be concerned how others play the game , if a person wants to upgrade their car to the maximum , turn all assists on and just blast through a challenge then that is their choice , it shouldn't concern anyone else. PD have now made the challenges with a User Defined Difficulty Level which should please everybody , better players can limit themselves and get a challenge , while less experienced or more casual gamers can make it easier on themselves . Regardless of skill level or age every person who purchases the game deserves the chance to play it in their own way.

That's not making it easy, that's giving it to us. There's a difference between making something easy to obtain and just giving it to someone. No such thing as free.

The events will be as easy as you make them, I have tackled both the Prius & Lotus challenges so far with the stock vehicles that I have. The Prius was a bit more of a challenge, being almost 20 seconds off my first go with stock everything. The thing that I am doing is the attempt them with as little mods as possible unless it becomes impossible to do else so.

I love the thought that someone anyone here on this forum thinks they know what is best for GT5. At best assuming every single registered user of GTPlanet has bought GT5 meaning all 163,000 that makes up just under 3% of the reported 5.5 million copies that Sony has said they have sold.

I would expect play data collected by PD would probably be most important to them. All of this to me sounds like a case of people who are upset that their yardstick has been taken away so they can't show people how they measure up.

I fit into the average driver category, I've got a mix of gold and silver licenses. Bonus Races #1 had just the right difficulty for me. Bonus Races #2 - were too hard, I had to use SRF to win the Mustang event, and even with SRF I can only get 2nd with Focus and RX-7. Now with Bonus Races #3 I'll be able to tune the car to MY skill level.

Why aren't the same people asking for no restrictions on how THEY play the game not whining about the License Tests and Special Events..? Some of the hardest challenges in the game, some of which still elude me (before I get accused of being 'hardcore' again!), and some that, once beaten, have given me the most joy I have had in this game, yet.

How DARE PD tell THEM (after all, they payed their $60, like everyone else!) how to play this game! How DARE they restrict what car they use, or even what driving assists they cannot! How DARE they!

PD have absolutely NO IDEA how to code a game properly. Don't they KNOW that most players want no challenge at all, all the cars unlocked, all the tracks unlocked, and just want to drive around banging into things? How has this franchise prospered, being so out of touch with what most players want?

Its like they are infringing on your human rights. They should open it up to all cars right? I'm sure my veyron can take this maxed out.

This. It would be the best way to please everyone I think. I really enjoyed the last challenges, I thought getting all gold was difficult. Although, to be fair, I don't think I would have been able to do them all without some of the tunes provided by people on here.

Saying that though, I am having a lot of fun trying to gold the new challenges with stock cars.

I agree that they should have two different pay outs. One for the restrictions set and half of that amount using aids.

Being a bit above average, I don't mind the challenge. It was fun on the first set of bonus races. Tweak after tweak I finally got it done with all golds. Did I come on here bragging, no. I also didn't down those that couldn't do this. Seasonal Events will never ruin the game. People who don't have internet have no idea Seasonal exist. What about them, they can't even get the updates like most of us.

These are events online, not part of what was shipped to us on Nov 24th. How can the thought of even complaining about something that cost you nothing ruin a game. It could ruin Seasonal but to say the game is runied is just dead wrong. We still don't know if these will be the norm for Seasonals. I agree that they should mix them up. 2 out of 5 could be easy and let the others give us hell. I am fine with that. They less fortunate want some quick cash as well. Think about them.

Many of you want to be the only ones that can gold Seasonals as they were. If you can gold everything, fine. The vast majority can barely get bronze. If you want a challenge, get the most challenging trophy there is, Platinum the game.
