Nos is expendable power - yeah its great for short bursts of extra bhp - but id like to see a NOS equipped car beat a JUN auto's or TOP SECRET skyline !!!!!!!

PD if you put NOS in GT4 then you have lost the real driving sim name , and gone for another ARCADE racer .

So anyway... I would rather not see this added... it's a little too (fast to furious? :/) crap for me. If you wanna be fast in a straight line, strap yourself to a missile, if you want to drive round corners get a car. I don't feel Nitrous has much of a place even in the drag racing that will feature in GT4, I'd much rather drag race the cars without Nitrous. Nitrous seems so fake when it comes to it's use and I just basically don't like it.

If you want all that crap go play NFS:U or some other crappy arcade rice racer that's trying to capitalise on the 'illegal street racing' obsession...

If GT4 was an illegal street-racing game, it's a no-miss.
If GT4 was a drag racing game mostly featuring sport compacts and tuners, it's a no-miss.

Hey I don't think that N2O is just for ricers, plenty of big block drag racers use it instead of blowers. Either way though I think it is a definite NO! I think it would just annoy me to be winning a race easily and have some punk blow by me on the final stretch because they have nitrous. 👎

Nitrous Systems have a place in 60s muscle cars, i think it was well used in that movie Gone in Sixty Seconds. Small nitrous systems, 50hp shot, 100hp shot, have a place in turbo engines, BUT as everyone in the real racing world knows, people who using nitrous systems never actually win a race, their times and races are invalid for lack of a better word.

But on a whole they certainly do not have a place in the Gran Turismo series, as it's about real racing.

I think what they could add is superchargers, even though i prefer a turbo system a supercharger option has been lacking, and when there's supercharged cars such as jags, the supercharger has sort of been integrated, when they call it a turbo system (when you do upgrades) I guess they could call it a forced induction upgrade, but then it wouldn't work because you need to factor in things like turbo lag, and supercharger power, torque. Turbo torque, other things. Ergh, must be so hard for PD.

theres plenty of lightly modified cars with nitrous here in h-town. I don't see what the problem is. Gran Turismo's a driving simulator. It has drag racing. Lots of people use nitrous in drag racing in real life. Whats the problem?

What is relevent is that nitrous oxide is an actual, real life performance modification that actual, real life cars use in actual, real life racing events. The Gran Turismo series sells itself as a realistic simulator, so it should use real life performance modification like nitrous oxide systems.

But to answer your question, NO!

The game is built to give you a feeling a driving a real car. Not pressing the L1 button to give you a better chance at winning.
