You want to load your transport onto a transport?

;)
I wish I could use my bike exclusively as transport (like my brother does in New York City), but I work too far from home and would like to take trips with my bike up north.

In related news, I did end up getting a roof rack for the car.

High speed e-bike maybe? :P

That would make for quite the journey on a 4 hour one way ride up north.

But hey, if I weren't so nervous about riding a bike on the same road as the people that text and drive, then sure, I'd do it.

There is also a new car cover company in uk
Nice, but my Specialised Cover is still in perfect condition after two years, which is amazing as I live literally on the beach so it's dealt with the effect of all the salt and wind admirably.

However, I am in the market for a perambulated garage or car pod at the moment. I don't need a full garage for storage and I don't really want to go through the torture of getting planning permission either as I've just been through that process with the house. Just trying to find an attractive solution.

Since purchasing an actually reliable car, I may have developed a slight problem in an attempt to make up for lost time.

At least there's only one other bigger race close enough to attend (NASCAR Xfinity at Road America) and that's both too expensive and doesn't work date wise for me so this will be the extent of my race ticket purchases for the year.

This should be a fun summer. :D

June - IndyCar @ Road America
July - IndyCar @ Iowa
August - IMSA @ Road America as well as NHRA @ Brainerd
September - World Challenge @ Road America

Picked this up after my friend at T17 advised I’d enjoy it.

I’ve yet to play but from what’s I’ve seen it’s probably something my fiancée and myself will get into.

Yes I was able to load everything into the trunk with the exception of the eggs. Nothing was damaged during my 12 minute drive home.

Don't go to Costco hungry, y'all.

I made a similar mistake earlier today and came home with 1.5 lbs of chicken wings.

Got a new laptop to replace my 2013 MacBook Air, it's an Asus C434TA Chromebook with an Intel m3-8100Y CPU, 8GB RAM and 128GB eMMC storage. It's unfortunately (but not all that surprisingly) defective in that the volume rocker will let you turn the volume down but not up, but I'm confident the usually good customer service of the place I got it from - John Lewis - will help me out with that so long as they have some in stock to replace it with I guess.

I started a thread about Chromebooks here in case anyone is curious, it does seem to be quite an anticipated model as it's the replacement for the popular C302 but Chromebooks are something of an enigma to a lot of people, especially in the UK, I gather they're very popular in US schools though. I'll post there about any teething issues or whatever.

That looks like a way better deal than the Surface Laptop AND Surfacebook.

Depends what you want to do with them, MacOS and Windows are far, far more flexible than ChromeOS but as someone who uses Google's ecosystem for basically everything - music, TV and films, cloud storage, etc. - and only used a £1,400 MacBook Air (2013 model) to use Chrome, Chrome apps and some remote desktop software to use and stream games from my PC, it made absolutely no sense to upgrade to another Mac but I also wanted to avoid the hassle of maintaining another Windows install (one problem child is enough, but I need it for games!).

I could've happily gone with Linux as I already have some experience with it but the research I did suggested ChromeOS is a viable option now with the added benefit of being able to run Linux and Android apps, so I was set to buy a C302 until I found out in January that its successor, this C434, looked set to be a great upgrade to it. I'm glad I waited, it's really nice, except for the broken volume button that is but I've arranged to exchange it tomorrow so NBD (hopefully).

My old cordless drill has gone missing. I think the junk removal guys may have taken it by accident. Battery was starting to go anyways, so I ordered a replacement.

Stayed with the same brand, although this one has a lithium battery and higher voltage.
Luckily you have the Skil.

An original advertising sign from Gran Turismo 1. Posters are one thing, but this is an actual wooden sign, measuring around 90cm x 60cm, apparently originating in a video store.

I’d never seen or heard of these before so despite the rough condition I had to snap it up. Any of the OG Gran Turismo fans recognise this sign?
