I think some feel sorry now for dumping their girlfriends.

I will be having a ball, though ;)

Mine easily has a number of things to do when I'm gaming and it's always been like that. Some nights I'll come home from work, eat a 10min dinner with her. Then will go game the rest of the night, sleep, and not talk to her until 6pm the next day back from work and she is perfectly fine with that.

We go out a couple nights a week...so home time, we are fine keeping to ourselves.

wow dude........wanna swap???.

i´ve already bought a wii and several "cute wii" games for her ... so its all fine. She´ll be playing mario and partys when i´m locked up in my games room racing till my arms fall off...

I'm gona still do my family thing of course, feed them, put the kido to bed, have sex with the wife, and when she falls asleep boot up GT5 and play till about 2am. Its gona work out good.:)

I have some even more cunning tricks, and will use them when I need to in-order to keep her happy:idea:

I think we are all eagerly awaiting to hear of these so-called "cunning tricks." :)

I'm not even gonna read this. If only I had a penny for every useless thread in this forum, I could buy alot of copies of it this game.

Oh the irony

Haha, the first $5,000 Gran Turismo title

Personally, I'm in the comfortable situation that I've been so busy with college for the past 2 years that no girl has found it worth while to date me (or is it just my personality? uh oh), so I've got nothing to lose by geeking out for a couple of weeks :p

I got my girl hooked when I bought a DFGT to replace my DFP. Now I'm stuck playing GT5P with her using the DFP and she gets to use the nicer DFGT.

I'm going to try to get her to switch shifts with me when I come up to the 24 hour races.

You are officially the luckiest guy on this forum.

Thanks! Haha, she sure is a keeper. Now I just have to keep making her play so she'll be more consistent. I'll think of her as my real life B-Spec driver ^.^

Oh the joys of being single.

I'm gonna do GT5 all the way.

B-Spec Barbara?

I don't have a girlfriend yet, but all my progression will go to bottom again, and I will have to start all over again with someone else - GT5! xD
No, seriously. I'll have to limit my playing of with game. I won't loose my friends, nor the one I'm dealing with (if I could say that? That's at least what we're calling it in Norway when someone are not together yet..) I have a lot of schoolwork to do too. -.-

I'll be ringing her work to persuade them to offer her lots of overtime.

shes already sick of me. I told her yesterday about ten times that we have only 10 days left. she already said shes not calling me on nov 24 lol

Happy ? its too small a Word

GT is a Religon i'll be at the Altar of Graphics , Physics and Speed

I'm sure there will be times where it will get tense because she will feel that I am ignoring her. I'll need to take her upstairs and she will be fine for a while :)

I think she understands pretty well by now that I will be spending a lot of time playing and she did buy me the 911 Turbo S wheel for Christmas this year as well as buying me a PS3 last year. So at least she will see that I will be making good use of her gifts :)

We'll both come home from work, have supper, do my son's treatment, kid's bath, kid's in bed, watch some TV, she'll go to bed, then I'll play.

You people that are going to flat out ignore wives/girl/boyfriends/family/etc. frighten me. Seriously.

There are some very funny comments in here but it is full of ammo to reinforce the general opinion that gamers are sad!

I'll be giving my 3 year old son his first driving lesson with it although this will likely be cut short when he tries to eat the DFGT! My wife is happier with me playing a driving game than a shoot people in the face game so she's not going to be too annoyed with it taking over the TV for an hour each evening once the boy is in bed and all the usual stuff is sorted. She's even agreed to me teaching her how to play it as her car is in it. She can't use a pad but is a demon behind the wheel in real life so should be pretty decent with the wheel on GT5.

Moderation, she was my GF through GT5P. She is my wife, and will go through GT5 with me. She is certainly happier that I don't spend my time playing all night anymore. But when I get back from vacation on the 30th, and put my racing seat back together; things will change.

I might have to buy a separate TV for my racing, since she won't put up with it.

Its all sad to me, because eventually she will make me choose between my two great loves. Racing & Her.

Of course I will choose her, because she is real. This game is not.

So, the question is, how will deal with my wife when GT5 is out. I will play as much as I can without her getting too upset with me, for not spending time with her. The occasional gift, and dinner out will get me off the hook a few times.

Good luck all.

It surprises me that most will shut their GF and wifes out. They must be willing to loose a lot for GT5.

Im having the divorce papers drawn up now, might as well get a head start on it so that that kind of thing doesn't eat into precious gt5 time.

Well ....... im sorry but I love someone else now,💡

heheh. I warned my wife already that come release date of the game, she is not to bother me. The great thing is that she's totally ok with it as she knows how passionate I am with this game. I'm very fortunate that she's not the clingy/needy type. She actually says that as long as I don't bother her when she watches her tv shows, I can do whatever the hell I want. haha WORKS FOR ME

We went car shopping this weekend...........

Thats a nice set up! :D

My Girlfriend has actually got a trip planned co-incidently on the 24th of November back to her home country (booked before release date confirmation!)...Karma or what?!? Bye bye honey...hello GT 5! :)

My wife is due with our first baby on the 3rd Jan. She knows how much I enjoy this game so she's promised me some time before the baby comes. Then I think I'll be packing my G27 away for good chunk of time!
I have just over 1 month to complete the whole game...

Well I've been playing videogames b4 I got with the mother of my 3 kids and she knows that this is what I do. !Nough said she want entertainment she could take her butt to the movies lol

Haven't had a her since April waiting for this game. Tends to happen when you wait 6 years for such an amazing game.
