So, the location of our next fantasy track is?...

A new track in Sweden or elsewhere in Scandinavia with a climb up into the mountains with a waterfall or lake, maybe a bit of snow or green lowlands etc would be nice. A perfect place for a series of downhill slalom hairpins which feature in plenty of games and past GT fantasy tracks but nothing like it in GTS except that rally stage no one uses. Combine it with a long road section with gentle curves and it would make car choice interesting.
So, a multi-purpose track similar to El Capitan. One where it can be used for road racing and barriers removed for rally. That'd be nice in Sweden, with some snow.

Yeah, El Capitan would be a great addition. I remember it being pretty fast. Eiger I think was too tight for that, but again something different and for small rally focused cars, especially things like the Alpine and Integrale, would be great. More tarmac rallying, and add the RS200! And the Escudo and Pikes Peak.

Nobody's driven cars in Antarctica yet, right? The track could use that cool observatory on the south pole as a backdrop. Or even circle the observatory; a track that crosses all time zones!

Speaking of observatories, how about an original hill climb in Hawaii?

Come on, Polyphony. You know you wanna. This is the "pretty neat, but nobody asked for this" sort'a thing that's right up your alley. :D

Wasn't Trial Mountain the one with the monkey? There aren't very many monkeys in Scotland.

Trial Mountain had both a monkey and some water creature.

Don't think it was located in Scotland at all. Just a made-up place like Grand Valley and Midfield (and many others)

Well, PoDi really likes mountain settings for their fantasy tracks, especially the Alps, so if a new location were to come in the series, I'd expect it to be in some kind of mountains / hilly setting. Japan sure has places which would provide scenic views and nice elevations, such as mount Aso (featured in GT5's track editor) or mount Zao. Still in Japan, although more flat, Hokkaido could provide a rally track. I could also see them putting a track in New Zealand.

you obviously haven't been in glasgow on a friday night

the "water creature" is the loch ness monster probably one of the most famous "mythical creatures" known to man (that and the wild haggis)
