I'm not really expecting anything groundbreaking to come out of GamesCom, probably we won't get much more than a whiff of some new feature with some new (or different) screenshots / videos and the obligatory "What you may find out at the next show" guff.

That way should there actually be some decent announcements it'll be a pleasant surprise for me :).

Confirmed: GT6 Online functions and more will be shown at Gamescom 2013.

I really hope this means matchmaking from Prologue makes a return.

You never know. Some people were saying that GT6 wouldn't be announced at the Silverstone event and look what happened. Not to mention, unlike GT5, GT6 has been announced the same year it's being released. We only have 4 months left in 2013, so I don't think they can keep things a secret for too long. I'm not expecting them to drop every detail of the game before release, but I do expect more than vague information.

I'm having high hopes we will here big things there fingers crossed

I agree we have been getting rather spoiled as of late with lots of leaked information. As the release date approaches all the news keeps interest peeked. It seems that it's time for another dosage of (here's what's coming be ready.) I know it's hard to give just enough without showing your entire hand but, it's what keeps us fans going.

I believe that PD can not afford a poor showing (like E3),There is a definite difference regarding the Hype of GT6 to GT5 for several reasons, they need to show something exciting seeing as this year we are getting not only Heavy hitting current gen titles, but a New generation as well.

so guys, 20.8.2013 and 19:00 CET is the time for Sony conference, only two days left ... PS4 or GT6, what comes first? :)

edit: I mean released, not on actual conference ... just to be clear

For the conference ,my money is on PS4 first since preparation for the next generation is a higher priority.

For actual release, we still don't know as there's no concrete release dates for either.

yes, just hope Gamescom have answer for that question, worst case scenario is that we have release date for PS4 after Gamescom but not for GT6 :scared:

I would be surprised if gt6 had a bigger presence in the Sony main conference than it did at E3. However i do expect it to have some stellar floor displays. It will be interesting to hear the reports from the show floor.

Not that it will mean anything but today when I went to my usual retail store, I saw a box to pre-order GT6 and it said: Release planned for December.

I'm not expecting GT6 news in the conference, I'm expecting it elsewhere. I'll take being surprised though.

Me too. I think PD updates the Gran turismo website with some information and maybe Kaz does some interviews and that's it.

Btw: is Jordan attending the event to cover information or somebody?

Sony said they'll be announcing release plans (which should mean the release date) of the PS4.

Wait,why?
The Sony conference is only for the PS4. The rest of the week will be for everything/anything.

Jordan likely would have mentioned it if he were going.

I think I will see a new trailer in the conference. As E3....

Then, Gran Turismo website will be update with more news, informations. And finally, Kaz will do some interviews with, I hope, Jordan.

Can't wait ! :)

Unfortunately, no, I'm not attending Gamescom. I'll be keeping the site's blog updated throughout the week of all the news as it comes out, though. I'm expecting a lot.

:guilty:

But, if Famine will be there, it's ok !

Thank for responses and next news, Jordan.

And which of those many links provided states directly from Sony that they will only discuss PS4 and no other systems at the GamesCom event?

And I'm not an idiot, so don't act like I am. Googling 'PS4 Gamescom 2013' isn't proof or difficult.

Edit: look what I found. Fifth link from what you provided disproving what you said.

In addition to sharing release details for the next-generation console, Sony's briefing will provide updates for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita, the company said.

That certainly was easy wasn't it.

They're holding a conference at Gamescom before everything else. It's going to be held to release more information and it'll be about the PS4. Either new Vita games will be announced then or that'll be for the rest of the week, just like everything/anything else.

I'm pretty sure they said the PS3 and Vita will not be left out. Not 100% positive
