What use does the clutch do on gt5 can t actually be used to change gears or is it purely to kick the rear end out for a good drift ?

Congrats!MuRRePlease tell how.
Got my T500 today (miss the on the fly on the DFGT).
I've had a look and the gear stick moves up and down dunno how to fix this hmmm
Nissan_Z32_90I love my driving force GT! Won me gold in all events and led me to my GT5 platinum! Only complaint I have is that after long races with a fast car such as the x1, makes the outer case heat up some. I completed a 9 hour a spec race with the x1 at tsukba with it...I never paused the race only stopped to eat but after 9 hours it was still performing like new, even though the outer plastic was very hot, it still performed flawlessly. I don't know what people are talking about with a "dead zone" in the DFGT, but mine has no dead zone what so ever. Very solid wheel, and not hard on the wallet either. Love the on the fly tuning also!

If you're in the UK and considering the DFGT, this link may be of use to you

After many months of GT5 ownership, today I replaced my old Logitech Force Feedback wheel (the first one made for GT3) with a DFGT. A 300% improvement! The wheel feels very good, it's not as noisy as I thought and the brake pedal has surprisingly a nice feel compared to my old wheel. Though, the 900 degrees of rotation will take a while to get used to, as I am unable to recover extreme oversteers as I did with my old wheel.
Contrarily to what other people might think, I do not think that GT5 physics are sophisticate enough for an expensive wheel, unless you really want a clutch, firmer pedals (but that will force you to buy a fixed seat unless you want to move your chair everytime you brake) and a smoother wheel rotation feeling. But again, I personally feel that all these goodies are not worth the price just for GT5.
Also, G25/27 and fanatec wheels are only unofficially supported.
Please tell how.
