Hey Guys, good race to all.

Here's the results I have. I don't quite understand, but a couple of the racers in the image in the previous post by Haylrayzor didn't register at all in my race, namely:

RFLX_Niop
HaylRayzor
cobrius
badbutch06

I was able to add their times based on the previous post by HaylRayzor.

Does anyone understand why this happened? It's kinda freaking me out.

*There may be others that I didn't see that dropped out before the finish, so sorry if your name was left out, let me know!

And I never saw you either. What a WEIRD bug. I hope PD fixes this soon. :ouch:

BTW, where do you find best lap? My race results don't show anything but what's in the picture...

I'm sorry that I had to go just before the start, really wanted to participate.
But kinda rude to play GT5 while having visitors I thought. :)

Its in live timing in the replay.

Sorry guys for not kicking people not on the list out just before race start. I did kick three people out during qualification, but 10min before race start we had two free spots that I announced here, that's why I did let them race.

After half first lap I got rammed hard by the Audi TT and crashed. I tried to do the race without pit-stop but on lap 18 my tires totally gone.

For next Sunday I will keep the room secret for drivers on the list.

Oh. Noob mistake. I didn't know you had to save the replay to see it. :dunce:

I saw the TT boot you. If it makes you feel any better I stuffed him on the next lap. Nothing "intentional" but he was blocking me for several corners and I finally moved him out of the way. I told him and the Citroen to leave at the start but they ignored me and proceeded to ram and slam until they gave up several laps in.

I got my revenge a few laps later, I think he was #10, I was able to move up from #15 and chased him for several laps until I finally caught up close enough to slipstream him and did an pretty clean pass (don't watch the replay haha), 30sec after that he dropped out :)

Please don't kick me out! I will do better, I swear! ;)

I had a great race with Cobrius. I lost the lead group on lap 2 when I braked too late in turn 1 and had to dig myself out of the tire barrier. I had been running in the draft and was going a BIT faster than I thought. :dunce:

Please allow my to cast my vote early for Nurburgring GP/F for next week. :D

Addressing the PP issue... Seems most were running 598 or close. I still think 590 is our sweet spot. But if we say 595 or 600 I won't cry TOO much... :(

I would have to agree with the 590 pp limit.would mean that everyone would have to give a little, either downforce HP etc, to make things interesting.

I'm still wondering if going with pp is the best way to go. Just setup Bob running an Escudo on sport softs and it was under 580 or so. Haven't tried to see how it effects lap times compared to my arta but it would still hit 200 MPH on the straights I'm certain.

Bob might be comfortable in an Escudo on SS, but I wouldn't drive it.

Except at one of the ovals I don't think pure power with slick tires is an advantage.

Of course we're dealing with an honorable group. We could just say everybody must use RM tires. Or we could keep using power and weight but have an honor system for PP.

True enough, I'm sure it would be like trying to ride a cow on roller skates

Going with pp and restrict tires to rm would probably work as we can always check what tires folks were using in the replay and have consequences for those that didnt comply although i dont see that being a problem due to the type of group here.

Can you not restrict tyres if you go for pp then?

I'm hard wiring my net connection next week. No way I'm getting disconnected again. I'd spent all week getting the car running smooth as well. Oh well these things happen and at least we are still in the early stages of sorting this series out. I'd have been really gutted if we'd got a league on the go. Thanks again for sorting this out Zyber. It looking like we've got a really good bunch here.

If you choose PP you can't restrict power or weight, and vice versa.

Either way you can restrict tires, but you can't SPECIFY tires. It's always this tire OR LESS.

Good race today everyone. I had to find something that suited my style a little better than the Cusco Imprezza, I couldn't get rid of the understeer and it seemed to not quite have the power on the straights. Luckily the WedsSport Celica came to my rescue.

As for the PP restrictions, I think that's a great Idea, and I also think 590 would be a good limit. And for the tires we can just check before the race to make sure everyone is on RM.

Using 590pp sounds good to me as long as its kept to GT300 cars.

Any ideas on which track we're racing on next?

hello everyone I miss the sunday race y was not ready , but i will be for nex sunday ,congratulationes for all that had fun in this race, very happy to know that was veru good

If we limit it to official GT300 cars, can we get a list of all the available cars put into the original post? That would be great, because I'm not sure of all the cars that would qualify.

I know of nine, there may be more...

Autobacs ARTA Garaiya ‘08
Lexus Weds Sport IS350 ‘08
RE Amemiya Asparadrink RX7 ‘06
Cuscu Dunlop Impreza ‘08
Weds Sport Celica ‘03
APEX MR-S ‘00
ARTA Garaiya ‘03
Cusco Dunlop Impreza ‘04
RE Amemiya Asparadrink RX7 ‘03

We could either do this or go with PP and let people choose what ever car the think will be best for them.
What's the general opinion?

Sorry for being pretty inactive here the last week but as I preciously stated I was in Spain working last week and I'm going back on Wednesday again so I wont have the possibility to arrange any practices sessions or things like that this week.

I might even let someone else take my spot in this race as I wont get time enough to practice.
With that said let's move on to this weeks race track.

It will be, not any of my favorites but I know many likes it.... Fuji Speedway F. An fast track with some tricky corners and a straightway too long even for a tomahawk missile:)

As usual people who have participated and finished races before have priority over new guys.

Hurry up and post your signup, I will get the first post updated tomorrow.

I'm definitely in again.

RE Amemiya Asparadrink RX7 '06

I think we should use the cars in the list & limit to 590pp, as letting anycar join means people using small lightweight pocket rockets with GT5prologue type gear ratios.

I'm in too please using the same car I used last time. Hopefully this time I'll be able to make my internet stay connected long enough to finish the race. Honestly I nearly threw the wheel out the window. I was just starting to think whether or not to pit or eek out the tyres to the finish. I never got to choose. =(

Did anyone save the replay and if so is there anyway to share it? Because I had to rejoin the lobby to watch the end of the race I couldn't save it.

Count me in again. And I'll give the Asparadrink RX7 a try. I also have a few friends that want to try it.

Count me in too.
Car-No idea yet

590 PP sounds good to me.I like the added dimension of setting the spec with the PP because it opens up so many more factors than just using HP/KG.Having to choose between top speed, weight, aero, mechanical grip,hp,torque, etc and finding the right combination of all these factors is 10 times more interesting to me finding the car that meets the race regs and driving.

I'd like to toss out the idea of using any JGTC or Super GT car tuned to 590PP. Except for power the GT500 cars are virtually identical to the GT300 cars. It would give a much wider variety of cars to choose from.

I ran a number of laps with GT500 cars at 590PP and my lap times were within my margin of error of my times in the GT300 cars.

Oh. And I'm in for Sunday, even though I don't care for Fuji. :yuck:
