That's just funny... I have a Z06 in the game, and it's nice and quick, sure.. but I wouldn't try to put it up against one of the Class-A supercars.

Well, I did the Millionaires Challenge again and got the 21st fastest time. I'm off first place by less than 1 minute and 30 seconds. I figure that if I don't crash at all, I can make first place using my MV Agusta F4 Tamburini with lvl3 tune. :)

I was cruising with a few guys I met on bikes in my S7 at under 100mph when a Koenigsegg (I think, never had a good look) flew through us (hitting a couple bikers) at over 200mph. I went WOT and after I finally got some traction, flew by him at 245mph. Then he somehow went off the road, which was completely straight and there wasn't any traffic at the time, and went bouncing off trees.


The bike handling is better than the demo, but only in the sense that the bike has a couple more "notches" in the lean. It still isn't very enjoyable to drive like the cars are.

I can't believe how slow the G class cars are. I don't care how heavy the Firebird is, with over 400 ft.lb and 300hp it should go over 100mph easily. Instead, I think that a stock Alfa could blow it away in a drag race. :indiff: The Saleen Mustang is a waste of money too, if you are looking for a speed demon. With 130 or so more horsepower it is still pretty sluggish. The Jaguar XK would be a better choice, if they happen to be in the same class.
 
Diab I see you're making TDU videos again, but when you plan to make some more, can you please PM me a day before you record them, by either GTP or Xbox Live.

Anyway I post the houses and cars I own later on guys.
 
From what I've played so far, the game is pretty good. It's certainly a game I need patience with, which is a good thing unless I want instant satisfaction, like from Saints Row.

The graphics aren't the absolute best, but the huge size of the game makes up for it. :)

Edit: A little bit of a silly question, but how do you sell your cars? I bought a Jaguar XK and it isn't that good... I'd rather spend the money I earned on something else.
 
My copy arrived this morning so I'll be playing that for an hour or so after work.
 
Progress so far:

I've completed all the races at the bottom half of the island and I've just started working up the East and West sides. Really enjoying it so far, the handling has grown on me. Some of the time trials are a real challenge, some I've had to come back at a later time because I was getting too frustrated. I'm finding the speed camera challenges quite tricky especially with the unpredicatable traffic. So far so good.

The hitchiker ones should repay you with something better than clothes credits - Theres only 2 achievements for the clothes, I dont know if I'll bother going back now, to buy more clothes

I'll check later to see if that invite has come through. I really like those delivery challanges aswell, it's a nice break from the racing. If you get a perfect it's an easy $135,000.

I believe you can challenge the computer by pressing left on the D-pad I think (I haven't tried it myself yet)
 
I played this on and off most of the weekend and simply cant get enough of it!!! I drove the Millionaire race and the "Island tour" this weekend too.
I have very close to 20 cars and 3 bikes.I have 5 houses and about $750,00 cash.. I just bought the house that is by the pier (the house in the 2nd demo). I love that house and took some sick pics of it. The scenery is just amazing!!
EDIT: OOps its the same house but a different location.
I am at around 45%. I would easily give this game a 9.2. Once they fix the online bugs it would be a 9.5 game for sure. 👍
 
Sounds like you've played quite a bit Camaroboy. I wish I had more time to crack on with it. I'm going to get another few hours in tonight hopefully. I really love the classic cars in this.

I can't wait to see what updates there will be for TDU in the future.

Ohhh the Mclaren! Yeah I bought the other one this weekend. I was sooo friggin excited when I pulled out of the showroom with it. Mine is orange and has the 3rd upgrade. 👍
I cant wait until they get the photomode thing working online.
 
I keep getting little mail icons flashing up on in the bottom right of my screen, I've checks the manual and all the menu's but can't see anything to open them up. I don't have any messages on my dashboard either what are they for?

Those usually come after you unlock an achievement but your right there are other messages too. Just go to your garage and I think click "Info" on the far left of the tabs and it will list everything you have done and all those messages.

I bought that too this weekend. Yes it is extremely fast!! Also a little hard to control at times.

Go to your garage and there should be a message somewhere in there for the invites. You might have to click on the "info" tab. I think its called info.
 
Ermmm ok thanks but do u know how to accept peoples invites if they "ask to join this club" because my mate want to join the club i have just made and i dont know how to accept his invite Thanks,
 
played TDU today in gamestation, the handling is great, drove a Chevrolet SSr round for a bit then test drove a Nissan 350Z, great game! Cant wait for the day i get a 360.
 
I'm getting that "Server is Unavailable" problems, too. Hopefully they fix that soon.

Oh, and I'm now in Pro Rank bringing in some decent money. This game will be a challenge, that's for sure...
 
I'm Pro rank now too, but I've finished for the day, I'll get an hour or two in tomorrow before I go out though. How many car delivery missions are there? I've done two, one was an Enzo and the other was a Muira, but I haven't seen any more of them anywhere I've been yet.
