So managed to wreck my shifter last night. Now it'll only select 1st and 2nd. Hmmm, 2 speed powerglide come at me! Otherwise does anyone know if you can use paddles and clutch at the same time?? Thinking I might make a sequential shifter for it.

i have alot of spares for G25's and 27's...

So if you need the shifter unit excluding the PCB and housing i should be able to post it over to you?

I'm not even sure what's happened to it. It all looks intact after looking at it. Haven't pulled the mechanisms out yet. I'm guessing maybe a sensor has mover or ice broken a wire. Doesn't help that I can't get my shifter knob off lol.

I'll inbox you a picture of the shifter a bit later. The casing has been sawn in half so I could mount it separately.

EDIT: Found my problem. There's a sensor at the back, which records the shifters movements left and right (I assume) has a broken wire where its been glued to the plug..... I've already soldered one of these wires before. Its ridiculously hard, and I'm not confident fixing this one. There's too much glue to remove, and the wires are too small to operate on (pain in the ass to try stripping the coating off.)

Oh my god SR. My G27 recently carked it. From what I can remember when looking up my issue it was my circuit board. Any chance you've got one?

Here's a video of my problem. There's no force feedback, it just sits with the leds lit up.

Your wheel alignment sensor plug might have come out of place, because I had a problem where my wheel was becoming misaligned I fixed it but forgot to plug in that sensor plug and it was doing exactly that. :)

Ahh, the black wire that go's into the plug that connects to the circuit board has come out...

Well here's my issue. Its the plug that goes from the alignment sensor to the circuit board. Do you possibly have one?

Yeah i do have one, but its easier for you to get needle nose pliers and pull out the copper from the chocolate block and just shove the stripped end of the black wire in.

Saves you the money and wait..

I thought rFactor killed my G27 because it I could turn lock to lock and the game would only pickup halfway then stop, then go all the way. So I connected the wheel to the PS3, booted up GT6 and it worked fine, except I couldn't drive to save myself.

What SRE said, If your confident, you could possibly get away with soldering back together. BUT ONLY if you have a fine soldering iron. Its a bit hard to tell but seems to look as if the coating has already been stripped off the end. In which case you'll be lucky. Mine on the other hand has snapped where there wires are glued.... so Id have to find a way to get rid of all the glue, strip the coasting off and try to re-solder whats left.

I did as you said and now it is doing this. I haven't soldered it back in its just pushed back in place at the moment.

That's one issue sorted, but i'm quite unsure what's the other cause? double check any connections look for items that shouldn't be loose too.

It calibrates both ways but doesn't re-centre and the leds stay on. I've double checked all the plugs. Also I noticed when I go into the G27 properties in the Profiler the leds on the wheel turn off and none of the inputs come up on screen.

I'm clued out. right now my led remote thing is being a pain in the back side and wont do anything but keep the leds at a green colour..

So i had a free period and decided to meet up with some of JZX's 'R-Chassis' friends.

Was pretty fun putting on a show for tradies during lunch hours lol

Guess the horsepower on each car?

Keep a look out on STREET-COVER. A friend actually took these photo's :)
