Thanks for the sponsorship, Derek. It's going to step up that level of competition, that's for sure.

UTC stands for Coordinated Universal time. It is not a time zone. See the following link for the time zone of your area:

http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/city.html?n=1352

Brighton, UK
Time zone abbreviation: BST (British Summer Time)
Current time zone offset: UTC/GMT +1 hour

Pshht Same difference :p

In the UK UTC and GMT are the same thing, both mean the time standard i.e. =/- 0. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greenwich_Mean_Time

The difference is one hour. ;)

BST is not equal to GMT.
BST = GMT + 1 hour.

When I was running in a series here at GTPlanet organized by some British guys I missed a race when their clocks changed because they didn't understand timezones and posted the wrong start time, so now this issue is a bit of a pet peeve of mine.

That's a really nice gesture Derek 👍 Particularly as there was a bit of "rough ride' for you in the Sim Racing Hardware section! :)

PS: It's safer in here (well, relatively!) lol

Not sure what happened in Derek's hardware thread (it seems to have been edited by a moderator), but I've posted my support for his products in it. To be honest, that section of the forum is frequented by some serious wankers.

Great news on the sponsorship.

Can't wait for this to start now, hopefully won't be until the 13th otherwise I'll have to miss the opening round!

Jav this looks great, and Derek sponsoring makes it look even better! Good luck to all drivers, sadly I no longer have my Iracing membership, although I'm looking to renew it eventually. The new Caddy might persuade me :p

Yeah the series is looking better all the time! Thanks to Derek for getting involved in sponsoring it. We should have some great prizes! Since we are getting closer to starting we need to go ahead and really get a set of ground rules like day and time and whether we are going to do fixed setups and such. That way we can see who will be able to make the races and to give us an idea on how many we will have. Maybe we can have a poll or something.

Just to give you guys a heads up. You can now upload your Cadillac paint schemes to trading paints. I just uploaded mine a little bit ago. Just me and one other guys' up there right now :).

I'm working on that, the general layout will be up by tomorrow!
Thank's for the heads up, I think I'll hold till I get the car. That way if someone "borrows" my skin atleast they'll take a decent looking one. I actually was on a practice session the other day and there where this 2 guys looking what seemed like a familiar skin, once I took a close look it was one of my early attempts at the Patron HPD, OMG what a piece of crap skin did I make!!! And even worse what a bad skin to borrow! Lol!!!

I wish I could have my computer now and I would have joined this. But unfortunately I have to wait until June or July before I can afford it. At the same time Derek will receive a order from me anyway. One of those button boxes look like something I must have!

Love to join if the list is still open and you're all still talking 18:00 GMT (ish). I'm a bit of a noob still, so I'll help keep someone company at the back!

That's good to know, perhaps you can help me with getting the time right. :) What part of the country do you live in, East or West?

It seems some people have issues with people that are successful as Derek is. I too give him my support because his product is solid and so is his service.

BTW Nastradamus87 could you check your PM please.

Well, should only be a few more days till we get our hands on the Caddy. I would say excited is an understatement.👍

Hey Jav,

count me in man. I"m up for some fun.

Yeah I think having teams is good and a team's point championship would be cool as well. A lot of people have listed a team name with their entry. There are still a few not in a team. We could have maybe 4 people per team and take the highest 2 points scorers from each team and count their points towards the championship.

I'm ready for tomorrow to drive this CTS :). It looks like we might be ok to run fixed setups for our league. Okayama and lime rock are going to be on week 13 so there should be fixed setups for those along with laguna getting ran in week 13 along with the official series. That's 3 tracks with fixed setups then we would just have to worry about the other 3. Maybe we could make our 6th track one of the ones that already have a fixed setup in the iracing folder. I'm up for open setups as well it just whatever the majority wants to do. I'm already going to be racing the HPD and late model next season for points and working on setups for those cars so if our series was fixed setup would be a little easier on me lol.

Havin teams is really nice and all, but the only problem is the prize... If I'm not mistaken, it seems like the winner would get a button box by Derek Speare (thanks for that, it's nice to have such generous souls like that around here!). Then, my question is: Do we count two separate championships (one being individual and one by team) and only the individual winner gets a prize? It would make sense to me, but what about everyone else?

Part of my reasoning comes from the fact that in a team, you cannot really control whether your partner shows up or not. Alone, it's 100% your fault if you don't. In that sense there would be no complications whatsoever about having a partner who is not there every race. But it would keep the fun of being "affiliated" with someone else and there would still be honor to win in the team championship.

Yeah the prizes will be for the individual championship I would think. Was just talking about doing the teams championship kinda on the side along with the regular champ.

Hi guys,

Just downloaded the new build. Did a few laps in the new Caddy at Okayama.:)

The car feels nice.👍 Only a baseline setup available at this point, but not too bad. Better than some of the baseline setups I've driven in the past. If we use a fixed setup, I think we could live with this one.

Back for some more laps.:)

Hmm, definitely interested but I have two series running on Saturday and Sunday at 19:00 UTC so either having the race time be earlier or later would be nice.

I may be able to push back the Saturday series to 18:00 so then having this start at 20:00 GMT on Saturday wouldn't be a problem. But I definitely couldn't do Sundays.

GTP: Wardez
iRacing: Edward Gomez
Number: 11
Team Name: MK Ultra
Time zone: United States Pacific - Pacific Daylight Time UTC -7

Gonna download the car and try it out tomorrow.

Are we doing fixed setups?

Most likely yes, we are working with the setups and hopefully we will get a fast and stable setup for each track. Okayama is almost done, I shared the setups I have on the iRacing thread check them out!
