EThats way to late for me :-( thats 2am here in Norway. Is this a league race? If so you have to count me out. And if the rest of the series are this late there will probably wont be to many Europeans.

I think this is just a practice. Jav will no doubt update the OP with official times, dates, track schedules and any other information.

Still slots left Jav? Completely overlooked the email you sent me about this, doh!
Yes sir there are! i'm signing you up right now!

I just ran laps at Lime Rock. I think we can handle it. Just not the chicane version.
Definitely the full track!

Yeah I haven't tried the chicane version either. I hope we stick to running the full course here in our league. I too get off the gas a little going over the hill. I've tried staying in it and I usually just spin out or spin so much I lose time. My best is at a 50.800 right now, but I know some more time can be had.

Ok guys I've got our race setup for saturday night. I have it set to the maximum of 45 people to be safe so hopefully we will have good turn out. Here are the details.

When - This Saturday the 28th
Session Name - GT Planet CTS-VR Fun Race
Password - GTP
Room opens - 8:00 pm eastern time
Format - 1 hour practice followed by 15 minutes open qualifier and then a 30 minute race
Track - Mosport

Count me in!

Hey all. Glad to be back on GTplanet. Can I sign up. Mostly for fun. I'll be away during June.
Im might not make the first race however. I dont think I am quite ready. I dont even have the car. But I wil try to join the practice.

This is a car which needs a good setup. I managed a 50.6 at LRP, but things are still wonky with the setup I've been using. It seems like the tires go away quickly (or maybe I do) after only a few laps.

I've really worked on the back end of the car a lot to get it (reasonably) under control. The diff is still giving me a fit, but all in all, the Cad is a decent car which needs some TLC from us and iRacing. I'm sure setups will be developed quickly which makes it fun.

The diff makes a huge difference on how it handles understeer and oversteer, I still need to fine tune it.

Derek, I have yet to see pics of your setup! Show us it! :D

I managed a 50.8 with Jav's Okayama setup. That was driving by the hair of my butt too. Very unstable feeling I might add. Just my driving style I'm sure.

50.019. Shocks, ride height, roll bars are key.

Using 3/100/85/85 for my diff settings.

I'm relocating my shop and studio to a new and much larger location about a mile from where I am now. I am designing a new setup for myself and will "debut" it in the next couple of months. I'll set it up in my new "digs". The main thing is my screen. I have a design for a pretty nice stand planning to be made from the CNC. :)

I need help tuning the cts-vr on okayama, I tried to tune it for the past 30 minutes but the rear end is still finicky when on exit, and on the entry for last corner the front tires decide to break loose.

i got nothing zed. I still have 0 understanding on how to tune a car :( one of my biggest down falls in iRacing.

Jav
That's pretty fast Eric well done! Nice looking car too! ;)
HAHAHA

Just an idea that popped up, but earlier I joined my first hosted race, it was CTS-VR @ Charlotte, that was pretty fun. What if round 6 was at an oval everyone has, preferably mile and a half or bigger? what do you guys think? drafting at talladega maybe:lol:?

Great run in traffic Eric. With your set up modified I got 52.187, I need more work for sure and I'm not sure if I can get 2 more seconds.:ouch:

I would be down for running Daytona Road. Not a full blown oval though.

Daytona Road or Indy Road would be great

That last setup posted is nothing close to what I'm running now. Stiffen up those shocks. ARBs also have a huge effect, and possibly not how you would expect.

Are you machining the parts and then assembling it or is it going to be one giant piece?

I have started my basic setup, next month my goal is to get a racing seat and a button box, then a new computer followed by a buttkicker and a triple screen setup. I just need to find 2,000$ laying around somewhere :scared:

Ok guys we are still on for our race tomorrow night 👍. Been practicing some today. Just been using a laguna setup that could use a little more tweaking. What setup has everyone else been running for mosport? So far I've got a mid 1:19 with a mid 1:18 as my optimal so need some more work.

I've been using (tweaking) my own setup up to this point. I managed a couple of high 1.19s with it. Stiff springs and shocks seem to work for this track. Diff. settings are crucial for me, especially decel. Still playing with ARB.

What are you guys using for tire pressures?

This is just a warmup race and not part of the league race correct? Are you hosting this Mad? I will try and make it, no promises though.

I have been using a modified setup from Eric.

22psi all around..tweaked a little to keep hot pressures even.

Hey guys, have you decided the day we're running? If its saturday, before 8 pm GMT I won't be able to race because I'll be participating on some game creating classes on saturdays until 7 pm GMT

After what feels like a billion years of practice I finally got a best lap of 1:29.933 at Okayama.

Driving this car is extreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeemely frustrating for me. I'm so inconsistent in it it's retarded. My best lap is over a second off my optimal (1:28.793). I feel like I can barely see out the car (75 degree FOV) and there is an elephant on the roof. I have little experience in heavy cars and have a lot of trouble getting it to turn in when and how I want it to.

I'll have to watch some laps of fast guys to see what they are doing in the corners.

Edit:
How do I tune the Cadi? I'm in a testing session at Okayama and the only option to adjust in my garage is tire pressure. Is that normal?

Put your fov closer then! Mine is 68 and it is perfect! Not far at all (notice that my monitor is about 3 inches away from the back of my g27).

I am inconsistent with the caddy too, mainly braking I am really wiggly and it is effecting my confidence in the corner.
