I kept spinning out over driving the car. It really just gets away from me out of nowhere it seems. Tried Jav's tune and it was good but then I picked up a tune from the iR forums and it felt a bit more stable so I went with it.

But for some reason turn 2/3, the left, kept scaring me. I'd have to have a real specific line and proper throttle control through there to get it right and when it was just a little bit off, I was off spinning.

That tight little downhill left hander right before where that Oky short connection is kept throwing me off for some reason too.

I just gotta get used to driving this thing and I should be good I guess.

My pb for the day was a 1:32 flat with an optimal of a high .30.

Still lots of fun time to be had :crazy:

Oh and btw, Mille has his car dialed in already haha, after the race started with terrible1 and I, he took off from the start (standing starts are... difficult). I was able to catch up to him through certain turns but then I went off and got damage and that was it. Long 7 laps after that.
 
It's a handful for me as well.
I'm just gonna run Mosport for the rest of the day.
 
OMG just tried this car and it have a "seriously" happy tail , I'd love to join but I am honestly scared

Jav: I think the best route, after seeing how this car behaves, is to do an open setup and provide a handful of setups. I think this car is going to be very personal. Glubags and I have been working on tuning most of the day and despite having similar performance, we don't like each other's car. :lol:

What course we running 1st in the GTP Caddy series?? I need to start practicing. Hopefully its something like Okayama

edit - I think I like this car much better on Mosport!!!

According to the schedule posted on the first page the first round is at Okayama. I seem to like this car better at Mosport too.

I down to put up a race any time this weekend really. Just depends on when the most people can be around. Just let me know. I'm thinking maybe saturday or sunday night maybe 8 or 9 pm eastern time. Have a hour of practice followed by 15 min. qualify and then a 25-30 min. race at whatever track doesn't matter to me.

I can race this Sat. or Sunday evening at those times. (if you don't mind me joining in).

I agree, this car is much more fun to drive at Mosport. If your taking a vote, I pick Mosport.👍

Nope of course not. The more the merrier! We can see when other people can race and go from there. I too wouldn't mind racing at Mosport. Once we figure out a time I'll post the password up here so it will just be us and no random nut jobs can join lol. If you guys have any friends that would like to join tell them as well. I'll put the race at the maximum participants which is probably around 30 I would think.

I'm in! Mosport is awesome for this car! Can't wait to drive it at Watkins! That should be an absolute roadgasm!
 
It would be nice to have Mosport in the rotation, that and Watkins are so much fun to race.

Of course I have changed it a bit since I took the pic and my textures on on low so it lloks worse in this than it will on track! (I hope!:nervous:)
It is awesome iRacing included the "real" paintjob for us in the template also!

I just ran laps at Lime Rock. I think we can handle it. Just not the chicane version. That thing sucks. Down to 50.6xx in a public crashfest session. I just recorded a bunch of views from the replay, I'll stitch the videos together tomorrow evening. This car gets better by the day for me. Learn to tune it, its VERY rewarding.

Yeah I just noticed on the first page it's listed as the chicane version. I say we run it without the chicane like how we are running it now on week 13.
 
I haven't tried the chicane yet, but the car still doesn't like getting any airtime at all. I haven't been brave enough to keep my foot in it over the hill yet, I definitely don't want to be turning or on the brakes there.

Yeah I haven't tried the chicane version either. I hope we stick to running the full course here in our league. I too get off the gas a little going over the hill. I've tried staying in it and I usually just spin out or spin so much I lose time. My best is at a 50.800 right now, but I know some more time can be had.

Ok guys I've got our race setup for saturday night. I have it set to the maximum of 45 people to be safe so hopefully we will have good turn out. Here are the details.

When - This Saturday the 28th
Session Name - GT Planet CTS-VR Fun Race
Password - GTP
Room opens - 8:00 pm eastern time
Format - 1 hour practice followed by 15 minutes open qualifier and then a 30 minute race
Track - Mosport
 
Have to count me out on that race. Have plans that night.
 
I'll be there for that race. I should be awake by then lol.

EThats way to late for me :-( thats 2am here in Norway. Is this a league race? If so you have to count me out. And if the rest of the series are this late there will probably wont be to many Europeans.
