Yeah , they dismissed the DJs and ran a stream of continuous tracks for a while.

Then they completely shut down late last year. A huge loss :(

There are still decent free mods coming out. Just gave this one a try:

    The Freightliner FLB
    ets2_00234.png

I finally got a Freightliner. These trucks have been a curse for me. They either don't work, can't be fixed or are simply rubbish. At least this one works very well :)

Did a vid of the Optimus Prime wannabe. Looks close enough.

My ETS series is rapidly turning into a discussion series, and I like it that way!

So RTA mods has pretty much imploded today. May it not rest in peace. Things are changing, and for the better.

Yeah. So much drama. It is a shame. You can't blame RTA since as an artists myself, I would never give my work for free. I charge for experience, quality and the time and effort it takes me to do my work. You can't blame the whiners either since they might feel a bit alienated; especially since mods is something that has really never supposed to be charged. But RTA, whether I'd like to admit or not, isn't doing something that is supposed to be legal due to licensing. At the same time, most of the people whining, are sketchy people who always look a way to get stuff for free, no matter if it's by illegal means. This is all a really grey area subject.

Me personally; I am a member and always supported their work by buying their mods. Not only because of the exclusiveness feel to them, but for the outstanding quality. Like I told one of these anti-RTA people once: I work hard every day, have my own place, my own car, pay my own bills and respond to no one. I think I have the right to waste my extra money on whatever I feel like.

Used the snowy mod for the last time until I get it updated and feel like using it in my videos again. Finally updated up to 1.22. The hassle to get everything working again... >.<
My subscribers are about to find out in a couple of weeks how bloody hard it was! And that is my own lorry too, finally. Will 'buy' it in the next video that will go up. Scania RJL. Really nice!

Love those! When I get ATS I'll be enjoying those! Just a question @spinner , what mod do you use that replaces petrol stations with proper names? The one I have is not one I want xD

Hey guys, I've been looking american trucks for ETS2 and being the Volvo fanboy I am, I fell in love with the VNL 780. Does anyone know any good reliable version of it?

A boring video in which I buy a cab, don't use said cab, scratch a DAF and almost get lost somewhere in Europe.

So sad news. My PSU decided to terminate its contract with my computer. I am thankful it is income tax season, because UPGRADE! More power, and a reputable manufacture as well. Also go 4,620 more GB being added as well too. Now the dang taxes show up........

P.S I do not think I will be able to be up and running for a ATS Twitch show. :(

Well, as hinted in a previous comment, Kriechbaum just sent me a new version of his sound mod for CAT C15/3406 engines :D I'm uploading a video as we speak.

By the time my video is uploaded he will probably have the mod already released. Oh man... you guys will enjoy this one! He managed to improve what was already near perfect!

Sorry to hear that, man :( Hopefully you'll get something better with the tax refund. I'm looking to upgrade my pc is if have something left from my taxes after I do some work on my Impala.

Well good news is that my state came in, so I have ordered an upgrade. Corsair 750W, Sandisk 120GB SSD, WD 500 Black Series HDD. Will be ordering 2 2 TB WD Blue HDD. One for all Steam Games, and one for all docs, pics, music, movies etc. Once I move data from current WD Blue 1TB, Ill wipe it, and then add it in so I have 5,620GB of space on my PC. I tried Twitch, but my FPS was at 11 FPS, so this setup I hope gains me some FPS to go at it again.

As promised. Here's my gameplay video on the new CAT sounds by Kriechbaum! Not sure when he'll release the mod, but probably later during the day.

The 670 is probably your best bet. I had the 780 and loved it, but a year ago it was already outdated and it just got worse patch after patch to the point I couldn't even hook trailers to it. There are "new" versions of the truck in the form of the VT880, which is identical to all the VNL series, but it is riddled with bugs.

This is the only reliable and working version of the VNL I can personally recommend:

http://ets2.lt/en/volvo-670/ After the truck, install this http://ets2.lt/en/modification-for-volvo-vnl-670-s-e-t/ Both mods should be active and installed in this order. The first one is the actual truck, the other is not only fixes, but also some extras.

Here's the truck working perfect on the latest ETS2 patch. I made this video last week.

I have learned that one of my issues is memory resources. I have been running my profile in 32 Bit mode. With the unlocked RTA mods (Seems they are supposedly being now sued by Turbosquid) my game crashes when loading the truck at first. I understand that running in 64 bit mode would help resolve the memory issues in the console. I have no idea about the truth in this of the suing.

Pick your poison. I have a ton of AI traffic mods (Jazzycat for the win), environment mods, then trucks. Expectations are the same for ATS.

Gonna post an update for mods on ATS.

The SCS Forum, Modsaholics is also a decent source. A lot of people probably use ETS2.lt as well, but it doesn't really have a decent layout.

I think this thread should be merged with the American Truck Simulator one and just call it Truck Simulator.

Realised I never put EP7 and 8 here, so on top of that, here are some pictures from EP9 through 11 too. The roundabout in the tunnel surprised me. Massively.

Nice drive! And yeah, Got to love those tunnel roundabouts from Scandinavia. Don't know if it's a real-life thing (must be). Makes you just want to park on the side and take pictures XD
