I tried, and really I tried to watch Gundam Wing when it was aired here. I could not stand more than ten episodes. Slow, characters were annoying as hell (aghhhh that girrrrl), battles were lame, politics were lame... the Gundam designs were mostly cool, but we already know that gundams always look good for the most part. Are all the other Gundam series like it?

Relena get on your nerves?

Yes, I know all that stuff. I got it because it was composed by her in the first place and not knowing what the series was about (I still don't really know very well). I've got all of Kanno's work lying around, but I really think Bebop's OST is her best work... albeit I'm a big jazz sucker. Even so, it really is eclectic and every piece in it is SO VERY WELL DONE. If Wolfsrain's was larger then it may compete with Bebop's, but I think it fell short because of it. It is still extraordinary.

Big fan, here (:

And, er, the Ghost in the Shell soundtrack was made by Kenji Kawaii. The Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex (series) was made by Kanno, and is also stupid awesome.

SAC is what I meant. But, yeah, most of the stuff Kanno composes for is pretty good. Just goes to show how important music can be.

Speaking of soundtracks, Claymore had a pretty awesome soundtrack, as well.

No. Try watching anything within the Universal Century, After War (Gundam X), or AD (Gundam 00). Stay away from SEED and SEED Destiny because it's harmful to your eyes. 9 out of every 10 characters look remarkably the same, scenes are regurgitated constantly, and everything is a damn acronym. Did I mention people die, but don't really die?

Whose nerves doesn't she get on?

I'll take your word and try, altough I don't even know what Claymore is. I'll also have a look.

Haha that last part sure sounds fun. But ok, after I'm done with the... like 15 series I have on my to-watch list, I'll look for some giant robots.

She never got on mine because I never paid attention to her...ahh...Lucrezia Noin <3

I confused her for Ms. "Dual Personality" Lady Une for a while.

Too bad Treize already had her (we all know he did ).

For awhile, I thought they tried playing Cold War era theme because of Lady Une. I thought that Treize was a grown up Trowa.

I just finished Fruits Basket last night. There were a lot of funny moments, but the monkey guy was REALLY annoying, but he only appears for a single episode.

Thinking about watching Darker Than Black. Soundtrack for that is another Yoko Kanno soundtrack, so it can't be too bad.

Today I was standing at a local anime store and they had something on a TV, it had amazing sword action and massive destruction. I discovered it was Fate Stay/night the movie, and there is of course a series. Is it worth watching? Is the series as well made as the movie? I hardly doubt it but what the heck.

EDIT: Checked out the Darker than black links. Thanks. I'll look into it.

The series is no where near as good as the movie, which is no where near as good as the game. They totally changed the mana exchange scenes.

Uh, not that I'd know.

By far, the best series period that's based off a movie, is Ghost in the Shell. While SAC and the first and second movies really have nothing to do with each other, you can watch the first movie or the second movie and the series within the same sitting, and you still feel like you're in the same universe, and the characters are completely different. Even the move, series and manga are al pretty similar. Of course. Shirow did oversee both the movie and the series. But, still, it's a pretty good job.

But in fate stay night's case it came as
H-Game>Light novels>Manga>Anime>Game.
I have been looking for Unlimited Blade works but I tend to find the Reproduction title

bleh. I'll try to get the movie to just watch the awesomely animated action. Having read what it's about, I'm not really drawn into the story, really.

I watched Unlimited Blade Works. I think it was okay. Not bad but not extraordinary either. Really hated some events tbh.

They made a live action movie of it.

animation has several creative freedoms over live action films. for now, i'll finish watching the anime and perhaps i'll watch the film at some other point. thanks for the notice.

Awesomeness! Both Fruits Basket and Darker Than Black poke fun at people who watch anime. Fruits Basket made fun of Pokemon, and Darker Than Black makes fun of it in general.

I finally finished Kaze no Stigma the other day. I thought it was decent. On to Bakemonogatari now.

On to Bakemonogatari now.

Sweet! That's one of my favourite shows (by one of my favourite studios).
Can't wait for Kizumonogatari.

I recently started "Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt"

This show is kinda... nuts. It's my favourite currently-airing anime though.

Darker than Black is a little bizarre. The structure is definitely weird, as the entire series in made up of two-part episodes. Which makes you wonder, at first, why they didn't just make it an hour long series, but each part is a complete story, so...But the music rocks.

I liked Darker Than Black, but yeah, I didn't care for the two-part episode structure.

The other day I saw some of this. What a freaking trip. I'll of course be watching this. I don't really remember the last time I saw something as bizarre. And as cool looking.

On a whim I ordered Kino's Journey on Amazon. Anyone seen it?

Edit: Also Kiddy Grade
Edit2: Also Lunar Legend Tsukihime

i'm surprised i'm posting in this thread actually, the last anime I got hooked to was the 7th season of Inuyasha, and that was years ago. Not liking how I was obsessed, I magically stopped. Forgetting that history repeats itself, a friend showed off this one anime, i looked into it, got referred to another anime...: Kanokon.... an after I watched that, I watched both Rosario + Vampire series...

*Loves Ura Moka* (hence the avatar change in years)

I got so obsessed with it that going to work felt weird because I couldn't stop thinking that darn show. Luckily for me I think it's dying off now, because I'm now watching Omamori Himari, kinda similar to Rosario + Vampire....
