Anyone else watching Fortune Arteria?

After watching episode 4, I'm super stoked to find out what the big plan was...

I am. I think it's pretty generic harem stuff but that won't keep me from watching. It's entertaining.

Speaking of harem; anyone watching "Yosuga no Sora"? Kinda like that show.
I'm still hoping for some real drama. Haven't had any in a while. Maybe I should re-watch "AIR", "Kanon" or "ef" for the 295th time.:dopey:

Finished up Bakemonogatari the other day. I thought it was pretty good. Moved on to GitS:SAC. Saw the movie lonnnnng ago and it's one of my absolute favorites, finally getting around to watching the series. Not a fan of the Major's purple hair and red eyes though.

Well, in the original manga, the Major had purple hair and pink eyes. (and they are pink, not red eyes.) No one really knows why they changed her hair to black for the anime movie.

I like the Major's attitude in SAC a little better. It fits her personality from the manga better.

SAC was the second series I owned, after Wolf's Rain, but I do like SAC a little better, though. One of my favorite series.

Ah I was unaware that it was that way in the manga. I think the black hair made her look more...normal, as opposed to the typical outrageous anime color.

And the Tachikoma shorts at the end of the episodes...hilarious.

Did you know that Batou takes off his eyes before he goes to sleep?

Oh, I don't know if you guys have heard about it. But Subaru (yes, the car maker) and Gainax joined forces to produce an anime.

The title is "放課後のプレアデス" -> Houkago No Pleiades -> Afterschool Pleiades

and Lucy removes Nana's limbs before she is put to sleep  [/elfen lied]

Man I totally don't like how I'm taking on numerous animes and mangas at the same time...it feels extremely awkward and exhausting.

GITS is a little unusual as the movie, manga and series really have nothing to do with each other. The movie is loosely based on the manga and the series is loosely based on the manga and movie. But..neither the movie nor the series get everything completely correct. Like, in the series and movie everyone is always saying how scary the Major is, but we never really know why. But, in the manga, it's very clear that the Major its a major bitch. In the manga, she's always fighting with the chief, and tends to order everyone one around and could care less for her team's safety. Seriously, you get the impression that she wouldn't hesitate to sacrifice her entire team for the sake of the mission. Not someone you want to go against.

She shows a lot more compassion and emotion in the series and movie. Heck, in the series she does a couple things that I can't imagine the manga Major doing. So, it's kinda weird that her personality is so completely different through the three iterations of her. I would highly recommend reading the GITS manga, as well. Both the original and the second Manga have been re-released. And they're unedited for the most part. The Original Japanese manga had a lesbian sex scene with the Major and her friends, but it was later permanently cut 'cause it did really help the story that much.

Sweet! That's one of my favourite shows (by one of my favourite studios).
Can't wait for Kizumonogatari.

I recently started "Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt"

This show is kinda... nuts. It's my favourite currently-airing anime though.

The bizarre-ness of them Japanese animes knows no boundaries !

While I am on topic, I've only watched 2 animes; One being a very old anime many years ago (Dragonball Z), and a newer one (Gundam Wings or something like that).

Lately I've been digging around the Dragonball GT stuff, but really don't like it. Oh, and I discovered there's not only those Gundam robots I know of, but apparently there are a gazillion Japanese robot series out there :dopey:

Anime started with robots. The first being Astro Boy. Gatchaman is another one....but, yeah, there's several anime robot series....Evangellion, Full Metal Panic...the list goes on...and on...and...you get the idea.

Speaking of Evangelion... I just watched End Of Evangelion. Twice in fact, because it was so awesome.

And now I'm rewatching Evangelion 1.11 and 2.22 just for the hell of it. :p

I am watching You can ( Not ) Advance

and I'm watching watching Devil May Cry, Elfen Lied and Shakugan no Shana S....

all at the same time.

That must be confusing. How do you know which TV to look at?

Easy, one doesn't have pretty boy with Two guns that every fan girl loves, one that tends to disappearing limbs every so often or isn't killing someone because she is bipolar and I don't know the last one.

Last month, I found out the anime club I'm in was going to show Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works at this month's meeting. So, I went through the Fate/stay night TV series because I was told I might get confused as I watched the film since their stories were slightly different. Nevertheless, I enjoyed both titles pretty much. :)👍

As for current anime that I'm watching, I'm now doing another catch-up assignment in the form of Fairy Tail. :D

You need to play the game

I tried to watch Blassrieter or whatever it's called, but it feels like a Soap Opera...an anime, sci-fi, soap opera. I might go back and watch GITS again. We'll see.

Right now I'm watching RahXephon. It's good, it's quite similar to Neon Genesis Evangelion, but less dark.

Some might call it an NGE clone, but it's more than different enough to be entertaining in its own right. I see the similarities in it as paying NGE homage.

Any of you guys interested in Makoto Shinkai's movies?
Here's a teaser of his next movie "Hoshi wo Ou Kodomo"

I watched all of those recently Shanatan is so annoying!

In a good or a bad way?
Since I think so too but in a good way. It's so damn funny.

annoying in a funny way... "Uruchai! Uruchai! Uruchai! Uruchai! Uruchai! Baka! Baka! Baka! Baka! Baka! Baka!" *Flailing arms and legs*

It's how everyone behaves differently that I find amusing, especially in the first S episode where Yuji and Shana swap bodies, i knew there was going to be a good laugh out of it.

So I decided to calculate the approximate value of my anime collection which I started in March of this year, using Amazon as a reference... $2501.43

And I just spent nearly $700 to fill the remaining slots in my 320-disc DVD case.
...I may have a problem.
