Shinobi- Heart under blade
 
Darker than Black reminds me of Wolf's Rain and Ghost in the Shell. The animation is more GITS, but it has a lot of Wolf's Rain elements to it, as well. But, Wolf's Rain and DTB were both animated by BONES. It's still a good series, though.
 
Oh right, you guys should check out Redline when it's shown in a cinema near you, or when the DVD/Blu-Ray is out. Saw the movie in 2 months ago. Was a great experience.

There was another Racing Manga about Touge and I think it was called Redline or Overboost....
Otherwise, Konata's mom is my favorite character other than Kagami...wait Anime appreciation Group? AAA? did you go to your AAA meeting yesterday?
 
Got halfway through episode 4 of Gunslinger girl and decided I didn't have the patients to watch get into it. Now, I'm watching Last Exile.
 
I loved the setting of Last Exile. The almost primitive steampunk nature of the good guys and the highly technological nature of the bad guys. A very interesting dichotomy.

Just watched the first "Hidamari Sketch x ☆☆☆" special, which leads me to following question: Has anyone else seen Hidamari Sketch (and its 3 seasons)?



I love it. It's something I could watch over and over again. No complex story that requires further thinking. Just leaning back, enjoying the fun.
 
Nothing much for me watching new anime at the moment so just going back to my library to see anything I have not watched for a while.

Currently I am seeing Mobile Suit Gundam MS08th Team and then once finished will watch Go Nagai's Mazinkaiser.

The manga seems just like Lucky star though I need to get the other volumes for the new girl..

I saw Last Exile a while ago, my brother recommended it to me. Graphically it's pretty ok, but in the end you end up asking just WTF happened. You'd be better off watching Gunslinger Gurl... and I don't even know what in heck that is.

Yeah, the end of Gunslinger Girl is so bad. That's the problem when you release an anime if the manga it's based on isn't finished.

Don't know about Gunslinger Girl: Il Teatrino (2nd season) though. Always wanted to check it out but.... :sick:

Hey, I've been meaning to bring this up, but Trigun just got re-released on Tuesday. For those wanting to buy the series, you should be able to get it at Suncoast or wherever you buy your anime. Should be digitally remastered and everything. There might even be info on when the movie is coming to the US.

Yeah, I almost ordered it on Amazon. But then I bought a bunch other stuff, and am now completely broke.

I have the original box set and the new box set is much cheaper to buy than the one I have. :grumpy:
 
Yeah, the new one is on sale on Amazon for $29.99! I shall have to buy it sometime. But this is good 'cause now the series won't be hard to find. Before this, the only place to buy it was on Amazon.

I could not stand that show. when it was aired over here I was pretty excited because I'd read amazing things about it everywhere. But oh man. The characters are lame, the animation is bleh, it's slow and everyone in screen seems to have the upmost mission of being annoying at all times.

But I kept watching it. I did not dump it like many other shows because I really had hopes that, at the end, it would be better. But I found it to be really lame. To this day I can't see why this show has such a strong fan base, really. It's one of the shows that has let me down the most.

somehow, I agree with you. Aside from Vash's round up comedy like in the 1st episodes. I though it was alright.

Finished up Bakemonogatari the other day. I thought it was pretty good. Moved on to GitS:SAC. Saw the movie lonnnnng ago and it's one of my absolute favorites, finally getting around to watching the series. Not a fan of the Major's purple hair and red eyes though.
