^ Oh, I bet she has the skills now... :nervous:
Who knows, lol.

I want to be in charge of Nagato's fan club!

What's the deal with split personalities?

Otome/Ura Moka, Nyu/Lucy, Jubei/Jubei 5 million.... <-

it's always one softie/childish side tacked on with a sadistic/arrogant side.

Vegeta, what does you scouter say about Jubei's power level?
this never gets old when used sparingly.

.

You forgot Rena from When they cry, except she doesn't have another name. lol She is just Rena though it adds a twist to the story IMO.

I'm really making up for some stuff I had not seen. OLD stuff.

I borrowed Witch Hunter Robin from a friend of mine. Damn, first half of the series is slow. I hope the thing MOVES soon, I'm starting to get bored.

^ It adds the sophistication of the storyline to make it more suspensfull (at least on my story anyway...). As I'm making my own manga, I have few characters with spit personality:

There's a whole bunch of split personality characters I'm sure, but I haven't watched 'em all, I only named the ones I've watched. :)

I see :dopey: I fully understand what you're trying to say

Your own manga, huh? I hope you'll share it here.

I'm totally drawn into split personality characters. Shoutouts to Jubei 5M... next episode of Hyakka Ryoran airs today at some point according to wikipedia :D

So i started watching Ninja Scrolls a couple of days ago and i think its a good anime.

It's a classic, one of the first I was ever introduced to and so partly responsible for my initial positive impression of anime, though it generally gets mixed reviews for some reason.

Rena does have a last name - Ryuuguu. :)

As for what I watched recently, I saw Tokyo Godfathers last night with the anime club I'm with. I thought it was allright. :)

Watched "Nanoha the Movie 1st" two days ago. Was awesome. Better than the actual series, just like the Rebuild of Evangelion movies.

Also, episode 10 of Panty & Stocking with Garter Belt was great again. Especially the music video at the end

May be NSFW.

why is it that im not drawn to popular animes all that much (minus Inuyasha and Shakugan)? Everyone says Panty & Stocking and Gintama are extremely good for example, however I'm more compelled to watch other animes, even though I'm watching/watched every one i jsut listed.

Maybe you don't give it a chance, Twelve Kingdoms is getting better than I thought. Though I am not interested in Panty & Stocking and Gintama. Also, you are not the only one. I always look for Anime movies and OVA's.

I'd be very interested to hear what both of you think are some of the better overlooked animes. Many of the most popular one suffer from being safe and predictable (even while trying to appear edgy), while the lower budget small production house projects can be the most daring and sometimes achieve greatness inaccessible to mainstream concepts. I just know there's some great anime out there I've never heard of.

Have seen 12 Kingdoms, wish there was more of it to watch. Also wasn't sure at first, but it's incredibly well developed and turned out to be quite moving and made my list of best anime so far. Very well balanced and paced, always interesting and not predictable, beautiful style and ambitious scope, captures with a sense of realism the age of mythology and feudalism like no other anime I've encountered, except Moribito somewhat. A little bit difficult to follow at times as I lost track of some of the characters, but perhaps by challenging me as a viewer it actually succeeded in pulling me further in... I feel nostalgic about it at this point, I want to go back and watch the opening and ending credits again!

its not like i stopped watching gintama and panty stocking, im forcing myself to watch these episodes in a way... it's just that they don't keep my attention as much anymore...maybe im just those drama-love story kind of watchers.....no romance = no joy of watching... :(

I have forced myself to watch certain dramas and tend to like them. Though I couldn't stand Inyuasha....

Twelve Kingdoms got interesting

i couldnt stand sora no otoshimono, the level of perverted acts is stupidly high.

YES EP 10 Hyakka Ryoran is up!
aw it was so lame :( yoshishiko totally went cliche.... and nia magically softened up....everthing jumped forward too quickly..

Katanagatari. Totally awesome from beginning to end.:sly:👍:D Randy

AFAIK, Baka translates to "idiot", "moron", "stupid", depending on how you're using it.

Source: Fansubs.

Damn, where I watch videos stopped uploading Seikon no Qwaser episodes after the 8th....
Manipulators of Elements fighting against each other is Nerdgasmic....

Snippet scenery
P1: sprays Chlorine Gas at P2
P2: *Throws Iron bars at it, stops it but the chlorine disintegrates the iron*
P1: Ah, Iron reacts with chlorine, someone knows their chemistry.... Now try to beat this... dips hands into a pond and fires a liquid....
P2: * Creates an Iron Scythe and deflects it all, but it starts to melt*
P1: Hah, With Water, I can make Hydrochloric Acid, powerful enough to burn though Iron....
P3: *interferes by throwing in a Copper shield*
P2: *takes the copper shield and deflects all the Hydrochloric acid since copper isn't reactive to it. defeats the Qwaser of Chlorine that is P1*

Interesting how it uses both the traditional musical styling found in Ghost in the Shell (quavery voice with percussion), and the modern styling as kind of like Samurai Champloo, more urban/samply, as BGM.

Wouldn't say it's the best thing I've ever seen, kind of shallow, anime too reminiscent of something you'd see on Cartoon Network like Samurai Jack. Like the 48 minute format, though, still up there in the 9/10 range so far (on ep 7, what a sick little sister...)

PS, Seikon no Qwaser seems to have a very split audience according to ANN, though I'm all for nerdgasmic(nice coinage!) Maybe just a peek...

Please don't talk about it on the forums. Otherwise, what is PS3 format?

Oh dear god. Another thing I could get banned for? :insert facepalm: Post deleted (delete the quote, please? I kinda like this site and don't want to have to permanently leave this time...)!

I said PS3 "compatible" format. Such as .avi, and whatever else works.

I'm watching Morbito now. Caught pieces of it on Adult Swim, but it was very confusing in pieces. Things make much more sense, now.

I found something call MM! in AT-X,I was a recap of the series, all ongoing episodes without CM,last Sunday,it was quite good, a lot of tsundere(like zero no tsukaima) but overall I like it,I have to rush last Monday to catch up the last episode :scared:.

And Natsu no Arashi from Jin Kobayashi, the creator of school rumble so I might give it a go,I found a novel and It got my attention, currently looking for the 1st season DVD,If it can be found,it can be that hard, otherwise I might need to watch it online.

Samurai Girls last night was what I've been waiting for... The Episodes 2-9 went by so so soooooooooooo slow... I think it was only a total span of 2 or 3 days in the storyline... Episode 11 went at a very nice pace... at least 3 different things happen, a new trouble is encountered and the problem is is not 100% resolved, that's what the next (and last) episode is for. still though, very little actually happens throughout the entire series....First it was all going slowly about how Muneakira makes a pact with women and instantly transforms them into a Master Samurai with one kiss... so that mystery is still unsolved, and realistically won't since there's a new trouble at hand, thanks to Gisen doing something completely new. I won't spoil it, but introducing something new and then resolving it in 1 episode is waaaayyy too soon, given that the plot has been overall going slow. I'm shocked at how many people still like this anime despite its poor time management.

I been digging up more of MM!(thanks to a friend DVD-R )and its actually very good, probably even better than Oreimo(well at least for me),so here is a clip of what I'm taling about, and Natsu no Arashi was quite boring so I'm now with MM! :D.
