The Final Frontier, seriously, they ruined Eddie.

That's because it's not Eddie, according to Steve Harris at least.

I agree. It's just... a bit too much.

And I'll be honest, I prefer the remastered cover.

The remastered cover looks a million times better in my opinion.

@Tom, when did he say that? That's like the first time Eddi was never on the bands albums covers. And no, personally I like the original for the self titled album better. Too much was changed. I like the colors and just everything about the original better.

Edit, looked it up. Steve Harris never said that, Melvin Grant did, since he drew it. He said Eddie may return but that cover is just a random alien he drew.

I can see the appeal of the original artwork on the eponymous album; it's raw, and more... organic. But yeah, I just prefer the remastered version.

So Eddie isn't even on the cover of The Final Frontier? At least he hasn't been reworked into that thing that is on cover.

Vinyls are becoming less and less available. I know of 3 places that sell them. Then again, I only know 1 person who actually has a record player.

Also, I spent most of last night going through my Maiden discography. And the verdict: Iron Maiden > Killers.

Yeah, Killers is kind of disappointing. It lacked the energy of the eponymous album, and the musicality of the future albums.

Vinyls are out there, ya just gotta know where to look

I use an Aus online metal store, free postage too. Vinyl FTW

Oh, and I have a record player in my lounge, bedroom & pool room so there's always the crackle of vinyl at my place
