I've not played since before the 2.00 update (not sure which version it was) and don't remember having the ability to change it (I wasn't alone on that because I remember there were a bunch of people complaining). If I remember correctly a 24 hour cycle would take about 15 minutes. Does 1 represent real time? If so then I might have to get my wheel out and give it a spin.

Yes, I have timed it. If you set it to 1 it will literally be a 24 hour cycle.

I was not aware that had changed (I tried Googling it after 2.00 had come out but obviously people were either not talking about it much or my search was poorly worded). That's great news :)

17 and while still a long way from a good customisation option it did more than just add a paint job and splitter to the cars, the interiors were also changed, something that the vast majority of sims don't bother with (apart from Shift).

Given that PD brought RM's back after missing them for two complete full releases and then using them for one DLC pack, claiming them to be dead is more than a little premature.

Yes, its better than nothing but still too few R mods and no design at all on them (just changeable colour - wow :) ).
I forgot about interiors, sorry.
But only 17 cars from 1000 is too few for me, its like, here it is, we could not do anymore R mods in time, we are sorry. And then released TC DLC with R mods for money :-O

Its dead to me in current state. (the ratio need to be somewhere around 70% of normal cars or higher which they can be R modded to satisfy me :))

I am thinking late October or early November. Would be good marketing if it were released just before the new consoles and before Forza 5.

Then again there is no way of knowing until they give a date. Will be sometime this fall.

One of the things I always forget to mention which has annoyed me for years is having to press triangle for reverse. While premium models and cockpits for all cars is a big ask, there is no reason for there still to be no option to just select it as a gear.

Annoyed you for years? You know I hope you change button configurations. Want square as reverse? Map it to square!

Unless I misinterpreted your post you where complaining about reverse being triangle?

OK, I'll elaborate. I mean it's frustrating to not be able to select it as a gear sequentially, it is instead mapped as a separate button. It's a small thing I know but still frustrating

Ahh right I misunderstood your post, I agree with that point now.

It is annoying that they don't seem to want to really create a fictional track that seems like it could be built in real life today. I mean Matterhorn might have been built 40 years ago but not today.

I think most of PD's original tracks could never have been built in the first place. Tunnels and cable stay bridges are not cheap.

I'm not so sure about the Matterhorn track as far as costs go (haven't seen much of it), but I'm sure the greenie environmentalist would probably stop that one. But I suspect that is what you were talking about in the first place.

I didn't catch it all but it was just a general "PS3 is still awesome, m'kay?" type ad but amongst the games it showed GT6 was one of them and it flashed Christmas.

Remember back in 2010 with the "definitely before christmas" statement.

Well we did get it before christmas, unless you mean 2009. Anyway this was a TV commercial by Sony so you'd think PD must be certain they can get it out by then.

Paint chips wont be as bad if once you collect one, you can use it forever

....and buy them. PD really need to get out of this habit of making everything a collectible. I mean what possible logic was there for paint being collectable only?

I actually like the paint chip system as a whole. However, there was a blue on the 370Z that I used to paint nearly all of my cars with and I had to buy another 370Z each time.

Let me obtain/buy it once and use it indefinitely and I will be happy!

Perhaps a combination of both brought and collected, each manufacturer having a colour wheel or catalogue selection of new / current colours that can be brought directly and certain older or discontinued ones only available by some sort of collection method (but are then unlocked for purchase / use once obtained once).

It would be better if all colors were unlocked from the start.

I don't really have complaints against the paintchip system, the only thing I didn't like about it is that there are one-use only, and if you wanted to get another chip you had other car.

Hope once you get a chip you can keep it forever.
