Good luck with your Mini hunting jeff!

I dont know if you guys buy either of the Mini magazines (Mini World, MiniMagazine), but my dad has had a sudden intrest in the Honda B16A engines being slipped into a Clubman shell. He says that he wants to get a non-rusty Clubman, strip it, put the Vtec motor in and join the local Mini Club for gymcana (sp?) and autocross'! How cool is that!? I bet it doesnt happen though....
 
I saw a clubman yesterday. Too bad it wasn't for sale. The person who had it was on there P's.
 
Saw a sweet Clubman the other day. Walking through a car park in town, quarter to midnight, and this long haired bloke, about 18, pulls up an asks me how to get to a place called LeisureWorld. I'm going their anyway, so hes says why don't you drive.
Of course, I'm only 16 so I couldn't, but I jumped in the passenger seat. It was bright yellow, lowered, 1370cc bored out engine, straight through exhaust, mini lite 15" alloys, nice Sony sound system (he was playing The Libertines, not some rap-crap, so I thought it was even better).
It was damn fast for a Mini, outdragged a tuned Vauxhall Calibra (0-60 7.6 for the Vax), and it handled well too.
Boy, did I drool.:)

I found an internet site for mini racing, my mum will let me get my CAMS license all I need now is a mini.

hey guys, im on again...admittedly at skool, but still!

Clubman had a flat tyre - fixed...

I got $560 saved for the my Mini now, so it should continue to grow to about $3-4k. That should be before my birthday in December. w00t!

Dunno if you guys have seen this pic before...

How many people do you know that have mini's?
i've got an '84 mini mayfair which is in the process of being done up:)
i've got mates with mini vans, pick-up's, estates, clubmans and another couple of guys with some really quick mini's, turbo'd and that.

Sweet!!! My Mum has a '76 Clubman S - The special Australia only version with the 1100cc engine and Leyland Marina interior trim. You may have seen that blue one in Mini Magazine a while back. If you look through the thread, you can see some pics.....

As for your Mayfair, can you give us some pics please? Maybe even your mates! Have you modded the Mayfair? Thanks

I'm working on getting a pic of my car but at the moment im trying to reduce the file size so i can attatch it to this thread.

Anyway my mini is a 998cc i will tell you more about it when i get the pic sorted. What month of mini mag was that blue one in that you were on about?
