I like Shaun but it still bugs me over what happened with him and ISR. It seems like it wasn't a parting of good will. Instead of making a great show together they are now competing with each other and I think both shows do/will suffer for it.

I had planned to give his new show a look though.

I thought that Shaun had something come up in his life and had to give up sim racing for a while, so him creating the Simpit is a surprise to me. Like what @Bigbazz said, they're now technically competing against each other. I guess Shaun wanted to present sim racing in a different way.

My thoughts on competition is leads to a better result for the end user. Basicslly they both eill strive to have the best show. Which in turn means more for us.

As well there is plenty of room for them both.

Shaun was def my favorite. His happy go lucky persona and the fact you can/could feel his SIM racing passion come through.

I wish them both the best.

In a few comments Darrin briefly mentioned that Shawn left with no notice and a lot of his (Darrin's) stuff.

Didn't see this coming at all but from what I read on ISR, There doesn't appear to be any ill feelings between them. I'll subscribe to this, just will feel strange having to see Darin and Shaun on two different shows now instead of one.

I'd say that would be their stuff given how long they worked together?

I think he left because too much non sim stuff was being aired.

I've subscribed as well.

Kind of thought Shaun moved back because he missed the real race track in California and life there in general. Maybe that's still the case.

I did find it odd they both moved out all those miles away from where its all happening. You can rely too much on one friend and fall out.

Anyway, if they can keep it from being all about iracing I'll keep watching.

In all fairness I think the only show that's suffered is Darin's for various reasons, just check the iRacing forums. Shaun himself has said that he has received overwhelming support. Don't take his word for it, check his channel, his new website, Facebook and the many topics in the iR forums talking about it.

I for one am thrilled to see him out there again and to finally have another quality sim racing show. I'm the 6th subscriber to his channel. :dopey: I do think the show could use a co-host though! I'm sure he'll have no trouble finding one (if he plans on doing so). :)

I was just relaying what he said, I take no stance on this. Those were simply his words.

I like Shawns new format, ISR has gotten a bit too formulaic (its still a great show).

I was wondering what happen to Shaun. His new show is pretty interesting so far, he's earned a sub from me.

They should just settle their differences and race each other, live on air.

Winner gets to keep their show, loser has to pack up and go home!

Why?

Yeah, that's extremely childish.

It would be nice to see them race each other as rival-friends. But not like a pink-slip sort of thing.

I only watch ISR on occasion, so this comes as a bit of a surprise to me.

Shaun appears to be putting quite a lot of effort into The Simpit though, so I'll definitely stay tuned to see where it goes.
