Thought everyone might like to know what's gone on so far in the series - and what part of our GT3 diets we're missing out on (hem hem GoKents... :D)

You don't really want to see complex string II do you?
:trouble:
Yeah right... that course is so odd.
Doing the long circles in reverse is just crazy.

Anyway, nice work famine.

Question is, are you gonna update it every week?

I also noticed that there were a bunch of things we never did, so if you guys wanna use this as a guide for the suggestions thread... please feel free. :D

Actually, yes... :D

Another vote for "yes".

It's saved as an Excel file. The formulae automatically update the new track/car data. I'll just update the picture every week to the same URL. Easy as! :D

Next thing is to add the podium data for each week. That will be less than fun...

Good job Famine, I've added it to my site 👍 any chance of the excel file? :D

Yes of course... Silly me :D

I updated it a little to include Div 1 1st, 2nd, 3rd, Div 2 1st and Div 3 1st for each week. One of my formulas is a little off though. I'll finish it off and post the Excel file - and I guess I'll update the attached file every Monday :D

 I wanted to do that podium data myself but just couldn't bring myself to go through the archives yet again!

Thanks for saving me the bother :D

Yes, I owe you too famine.

I just went to search the archives and after about 3 weeks of searching I remembered this table you made.

Very handy.

Thanks for putting in the time and energy to create it.

I get bored quickly. And easily :D

And I've just watched "The League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen" - 'nuff said...

Excel file attached as a zip...

I've updated the image now as well, to include the placings.

You may like to note that some division 2 1st place times are in bold type. This is because that time was actually quickest overall.

Awesome emerald.

That yellow was a bit bright. :)

But the site was great, real simple and really clean, I liked it very much... keep working at it and keep in touch with me via pm. ;)

Later. :D

Updated the stats - week 58 was a bit bloody complex! Picture should appear in it's updated form presently (450k now!)

Are all the rally tracks supposed to be colored orange? Just wondering why 49 isn't, but 58 and 8 are. Cheers!

Updated to Week 70, mild error tweaked out and new driver podium table includinated (with total of 1sts, 2nds and 3rds in Division 1, and top spots in Divisions 2 and 3)... :D

Excel file is available here...

Okay, not so fascinating. Sue me.

The drivers with the most number of wins over the last 75 races are:
Division 1:
Oliver DePlace (17)
Mr. P (11)
CarbonFiber Man (6)

Division 2:
IDAFC21 (6)
cinjun8 (6)
UB57 (5)

Division 3:
Jpec07 (8)
NielsG (7)
Der Alta (7)

Only two drivers have managed wins in all three divisions... Kudos to...
cinjun8 & IDAFC21

The best driver (in terms of Division 1 finishes) to have never won is:
Lotus350 (5 2nds, 5 3rds)

The most popular track is:
Cote d'Azur & Laguna Seca (6 races each)
Tahiti Maze (2 races - most popular rally track)

The least popular track(s) are:
Complex String II, SSR5 Wet, Test Course & Super Speedway (no races)
Smokey Mountain, Swiss Alps II, Tahiti Circuit, Tahiti Maze II (no races - least popular rally tracks)

Only one person has driven the Lister Storm so far. Max E., in week 18. Voluntarily...

Sim (GT) Mode cars outnumber Arcade Mode cars 4:1

There's never been a 4 lap race.

Where a specific car has been named for a week's race, Toyota, Nissan and Honda are the most popular manufacturers with 6 selections each (Week 76 sees the 7th Toyota... :D).

Oh no, I see a 4 lap Complex String II race in the Lister storm coming up :scared:

And, you always have to tell the world when you're bored. :p

Great work, Famine. 👍 And yes it's fascinating. I love statistics in general and your stats in particular. :D

Nothing better when your rest your thumb and nerves than browsing for meaningful patterns in otherwise meaningless (sorry, couldn't find a better word) informations.

I feel you got an update on the way on your other stats. If you feel extremely bored, a new column containing the number of participating racers each week, would be very interesting. The fluctuation would really give a good impression of which tracks, cars, combos, settings etc. that are the popular ones among the racers.

Thanks and keep them coming. :)

Hey Famine... you know Max E. drove the lister strom in one of the week's?

It was a midfield race and everyone else was taking the Vipers and Vettes, Max thought he would have some fun in the Storm ;)

missing link

Really?

I'll change it to "Jaguar XK8" then :D

That is quality Famine !!

This has made me want to try the Altezza again - I had a bash this morning and after 2 laps gave it up as a bad job !!

I dont fancy running with the Lister though !

Omero
One question: How much of your life did you spend compiling that?
He's got it all typed up into Excel, so it's just a case of the query. (How to sort it, not Famine :D )

Blame daan for this one. He asked me... :D

In the 16 events where NO car has been specified, only 21.25% of the winning cars have been Japanese (ODP in the S2000 in Week 36, Mr. P in the Impreza Prototype in week 49, GoKents and UB57 in the Castrol Supra (race) and R390 Road Car (road) in week 59, unified in the 787B in week 66 and cinjun8 in the Nismo R-Tune in week 73).

That's still the best score by nationality though. It's followed by 4 American cars, 3 German cars, 2 English cars and one each from Italy and France.

C'est vrai!.
