Nope. Look at the roof line on the blackened image. Much lower, looks like its chopped.
theres a big difference.

Speaking of sketches of cars being different from the actual cars,

Just because MB created a life size model Yes folks it is just a model does not mean the rest of the VGT cars are going to be released as a life size model. I think people need to realize this. What does that actually mean? It means that the cars are not tied to any auto show at all. Sure it would be cool to have life size models of every car but again it is not required.

Compare the final car to the sketches of the same designer, not to those of designers that did not come up with the final version.

I'm pretty sure the Volkser is a Manual Turbodiesel W16 Quattro thing that comes in brown. Called it.

I'm not sure how that would effect the point I'm making.

And since I guess nobody got my point , I'll just say it. Concept art shouldn't be compared to a finished car based on exact dimensions, but rather by general shapes and design cues.

PD doesn't just see a car on the internet and recreate it, they put way more effort in it, as seen here:

They can't use a 3D scanner on a sketch, and they can't capture all of the details either (unless PD makes the designers draw loads of sketches).

I understand that but you really need to watch the MB VGT video and see that they were in fact using 3D wire models and a small mold to do the rendering. You do not need the actual car to model it. Also if what they say is true and it takes a few months to digitize a car how did the Hudson make it into the game only days after they finished building it. I'm just saying you don't need a full scale car to make one.....

you'll still get spun out by IA driving a Mini Cooper...
and then need to make a 13 point turn to get back into the race.

Toyota Mirai Concept is heading to Detroit:

It's becoming increasingly likely Toyota's VGT car will make a debut at Detroit

Hahahahaha. Jalopnik is sourcing FT86club, who is using the trademark filed by toyota as well as some other sites who are sourcing each other, as the source of the rumor.
Auto Show season is a cluster fluff of speculation.
It's wonderfull.

I would think the next car will be from BMW.

Did you know that those pictures are from 2009 or 2010?
That's the car that became the i8 as far as I'm aware.
We know the BMW vision car will be the race version of the i8 from the in game picture.

To say the i8 concept looks like the BMW VGT is really pushing it. However, the blue detailing in the grille could hint this is a BMW i car of some sort. Racing hybrid, maybe?

While the theory of PD requiring a life size model to scan and digitize for the game may seem plausible the fact that said models are generated from digital versions would make that step somewhat redundant.
