That idea is literally the single thing that I love the most about this fic.

Not the booze jokes. Not the shipping jokes. Not the CMC jokes. Not the callbacks. Not the visual gags. Not what happens to Rarity later in the story. No. The best thing about this fic is Dash's idea how to help Twilight.

Oh yes, Dash's idea is probably the funniest thing that I've come across in this story so far:

"It's about Ms. Sparkle- Her lawyer is here. Miss Rainbow Dash The Second, Esquire?"

Twilight choked and spat out the gulp of water she had been drinking, unintentionally spraying Trixie's face for the second time that day.
I can't help but laugh whenever I read that part

Part 6 has its funny moments as well (I've just finished this part by the way):

Applejack accidentally causing extensive carnage by simply running through Manehattan, the fact that it took 15 security ponies to subdue a heavily armed Rarity and the fact that some of the citizens of Manehattan claimed that "extra-Equestrials" were the true cause of RD's rainbow trail.

the fact that it took 15 security ponies to subdue a heavily armed Rarity
Like I said earlier, if a visual gag or a joke is brought up, do not forget it unless it is shown without a shadow of a doubt that it won't come back up later. I mean, when I read that, I laughed at the face value of the joke, but then I had to think for a little bit. And after I realized just what had happened, I completely lost it.

I did a similar thing early in the story when characters who came to visit kept wondering why the door to Twilight's house had a bunch of holes in it.

I will say that Applejack is a hilarious drunk, though. Its like she starts directly channeling the Applejack Advice images in the gallery whenever she gets any alcohol into her.

Drunk Applejack? That reminds me of a YouTube video that I watched a few days ago. Basically, it's an abridged parody of the episode 'Applebuck Season' which portrays Applejack as an alcoholic, I should also mention that parts of this parody are actually pretty funny. I don't have time to find the video now, but I might link it when I have the time.

EDIT II: Pony pictures. Unstoppable.

(The KYM entry for MLP: FiM is excluded from appearing on the featured images page, yet it's exploitative value bridges it out to dominate other memes.)

Well, it sounds like I need to go through the whole thing and add more detail, start slowing down a bit...I guess that makes sense, as I wanted to get the idea down before I lost it.

Thanks for the feedback, Toronado, I've copied+pasted your post into the file for future reference. I think I'm going to put it on hold, though. There's another story in que that I need to finish.

Alright, so I think AJ might be my new favorite. I'm just not really sure at this point. It doesn't even really have a whole lot to do with that story, it's just that the more I think about it the more I like AJ. And I know it's pretty much agreed that Fluttershy is the most adorable out of the 6, but I think without her hat AJ is right up there with her. Also, I have always loved that southern accent.

Anyway;
I've seen pony parodies, but I've never seen pony parodies of a parody before.
Space Balls FTW!

There's just one problem with this image; there's nowhere near as much destruction as there should be. Everypony knows that when Baked Bads are fired from a Derpy Canon, the resulting blast radius caused by just one of these poisonous Muffins would be 20% larger than that of any modern day nuclear warhead.

This is what the immediate vicinity would look like if the Derpy Canon was actually fired:

Scary, isn't it

TNTNE.

I finished re-reading the story +chapter12.

Well, I don't have mutch to say.
Trixie isn't showing off, she just disabled all of New Ponyville unicorns and sent their minds into "infinite pain void". Captain Dash had a chance to flee, when Royal Guards were blocked by the spell... Rarity and Twi got a free trip to hell, both will awake with a nasty headache. Other unicorns may actually die from this! If only they will not get hit on a head with a heavy object.

And I got an idea about why the sixth element didn't work.
I was thinking about this, and I can't find any other version.
Rainbow Dash agreed to join Shadowbolts, when they reached a broken bridge. After that Shadowbolts left and Dash fixed the bridge.

Maybe some of you already said this theory, but I don't remember.

Well, everypony will die regardless if Trixie's attack goes according to plan. With the Unicorn ponies incapacitated, the attack will be much easier for her to carry out.

Yep, Toronado pointed this out (in reference to an interesting comment on ED I believe) and I basically said the same thing as you in response to what Toro said:

I'm going to stand by this idea as I think it's the most plausible one I've come across, plus I think the fact that more than one person came to this conclusion makes it all the more likely that this is what actually happened.

Oh, I see...

Hey, did you noticed that the assault on the New Ponyville will be in chapter 13!
What a coincidence!

It's chaotic now, but there will be more chaos! Rarity is drunk, Big mac is drunk too, but probably awake. Most powerful ponies in the town are locked in horror, others are running around in panic. The "police" team is too small to control those citizens. Applejack might try and "arrange a speech", Rainbow has a good voice too.

What a coincidence!

BronyCray seems to be grinding out the whole 'Trixie invasion' thing in my opinion. At first, I thought that it would take place somewhere near the end of part 11, but it didn't. Then I really did think that it would happen in the latest chapter but again, this wasn't the case.

I honestly wouldn't be that surprised if the invasion didn't occur in the next chapter, but it seems more than likely that it will.

It might occur closer to the end of chapter 13, and leave us with another cliffhanger ^_^

Why at the end? Well, I think most of the chapter will be about the situation in the city.

That anti-Lotus Eater spell is a pretty damn scary thing, and the only solace I can take from it is that it hurts unicorns indiscriminately rather than just specific ones. I can see that being a key advantage in the future.

I'm glad to see that Captain Dash was screwing with Trixie and still has so much fight left in her, because that changes my outlook on the possibilities of what will happen. I also note that she probably could have gotten away exactly like she thought she could, yet she stayed around after Trixie set off the spell.

And now I know that Applejack is lying about something, but I'm not quite sure what it may be yet.

Anti-Lotus Eater spell? Is that a official name? Ah, that's Greek mythology, I get it.

Applejack is lying?

Toronado, you pick up the smallest details!

Anti-Lotus Eater spell? Is that a official name? Ah, that's Greek mythology, I get it.
Lotus-Eater refers to something that causes your most earthly delights to happen in your dreams. This was the opposite of that, basically. There is an actual literature term that is used for it, but I can't remember what it is called.

Applejack is lying?
Most definitely. I'm not sure yet about what (I have some ideas, but nothing solid), but I know she's hiding something of grave importance to New Ponyville's situation.

And her lying now makes me question her ties to her Element back when they all fought Nightmare Moon, but I definitely don't want to commit to that theory until I know what she is lying about.

After rewatching Boast Busters and the poll that was on ED (which Sethisto ended early because it was no fun), I can honestly say that I was warming up to Trixie.

That ain't happening any more.

Chillax, why hate real Trixie? Hate Shadow Trixie =)

Also, You might be right!
It might be Applejacks fault after all...

Chillax, why hate real Trixie? Hate Shadow Trixie =)
Because Shadow Trixie fits real Trixie's character so well. And it's hard to see Trixie without wanting to punch her in the face anyways, so...

Though I'm finally going to go read that chapter of TBoTS that I've been putting off until this chapter of TNTNE went up, so who knows? I may love Trixie again in about 20 minutes.

And now I know that Applejack is lying about something, but I'm not quite sure what it may be yet.

This is just an idea, but:

Would it be that Applejack and Big Mac both planned to get Rarity blind drunk for reasons regarding the near future of New Ponyville, but she isn't willing to tell Twilight about it?

It's just that when Twilight says "She went drinking? As if this town didn't have enough problems", Applejack "stepped back and recoiled defensively", as if she was hiding something from her.

I don't know if this is the case (again, it's just an idea), but if she is lying about something then obviously she's failing to live up to her element of honesty.

^Wow, you have a great theory!
But it can be only a coincidence.

If I'm honest, I too think that it's just a coincidence:

I'm just re-reading part 12 to find any evidence that could indicate that Applejack isn't telling the truth, and that was all I could find.

I caught that too, and... I dunno. I do see stuff in the chapter that supports that theory beyond just that.

For example, Applejack fumbling around in Rarity's office with the door locked.

But the seeds that made me start wondering about Applejack's trustworthiness were planted before this chapter.

Also, after Twilight left Applejack started wondering to herself why Rarity went and drank herself under the table. I definitely think that Applejack was going to take advantage of the situation before Rarity started convulsing/screaming, but I'm not so sure that she was colluding with Big Mac to create the situation in the first place.

Truth be told, I'm not even sure exactly why I know she's lying, but I can still tell that she is for whatever reason. Something doesn't fit right with me, and I'm sure I'll probably reread the last 3 chapters to see if I can pinpoint exactly what it is.

Why is it that every time a chapter of this story comes out I start acting like I'm in high school English and I have to write a stupid book report?

I don't think that BigM and AJ planned to drunk Rarity.
When R was placed on the bed AJ noticed a smell of alcohol, and she said -at least you are drinking the good stuff (or something similar) so AJ had no idea about what Rarity did.

I know, she acts suspicious sometimes, but I don't see any thread from her.

Her intent certainly wouldn't be to harm, but I'm not so sure that her actions aren't a threat. She had to have known that New Ponyville was going to be attacked after Captain Dash got away (even if she didn't know that it would be Trixie leading the attack rather than Captain Dash), so hiding things from Twilight and Rarity has to be bad thing for New Ponyville. If it wasn't, she wouldn't have reason to hide them in the first place.

Actually, scratch that last part. I forgot about the elephant in the room.

I'm gonna have to catch up with TBoTS later, Pinkie Fisher eh?

Oh, this is great. The Have I Got News For You theme fits with the MLP intro:

A combination of two TV shows that I like 👍
