I will warn that Chapter 9 is the closest the story has come to a straight shipping chapter yet, but being TBoTS it of course still manages to be absolutely hilarious.




I finally got DA to work long enough to finish up what I started working on yesterday, so now the Picasa gallery has an album of vector images that are hueg liek xbawks (generally 4000x4000, though some of them get up to 6500x6500) that you can screw around with to your liking. One of the guys who made them (the one that I was actually able to link to) also has a ton more Pony crap in his gallery that I'll look through today.

Edit: I noticed another trend

Why do all the bad things in these depressing fan fics always happen to Rarity?

I already asked that, but I noticed something else. In the straight GrimDark fics Rarity is usually the first (and, occasionally, only) pony to suffer.

Yet in the Sadfics (and especially the Sadfics with elements of GrimDark), Dash is usually the first (and, occasionally, only) pony to suffer (or at the very least, the one who the worst things happen to). Even more interesting, for the Sadfics based around the CMC (and there are a lot of them, believe me), Dash's lack of luck is transferred directly to Scoot. It's weird.

Okay, I get it now. I've seen a few Molestia images, but I wasn't able to connect the dots.


Of course, I've always stuck to the Trollestias rather than Molestias, so it has screwed me up into automatically assuming Celestia jokes are about the former rather than the latter.

Again, latest poll results were not surprising. Snips and Snails were at fault in Boast Busters as far as the community is concerned.

But this new poll looks like it could be interesting.

Apparently, when they say "involved in", it means the things you actually use, you don't have to create your own. Well, that's what most of the comments seem to think anyway.
Also, at "*clop *clop *clop" if it means what I think it means.
EDIT: Wow, there are a surprising number of people who chose that. I have nothing against those people, and I could care less what they do as long as it doesnt hurt anyone, but still, that's surprising.
Then again, I'm willing to bet a lot of people chose it just to be funny.

That had me laughing so damn hard.

So Trixie is taking this pretty hard, so I have no idea whether to like her or hate her. God dammit I'm so conflicted. I mean, she's a bitch on the surface, and in TNTNE's universe, she's a super bitch, but maybe in the normal universe the encounter in Ponyville changed her, but she's just hiding it by acting especially bitchy.
I'm going to go with that, at this point, I actually like Trixie because she appears to have a conscience hidden under all of the crap now.
Again, I only feel this way after part 5, this may or may not be that case when I finish the whole story.

That moment when you think Rarity died, I'm not going to lie, I was crying like a little girl. But then I...the feeling of reliefe when I found out Rarity was alive was just indescribable.

And the whole thing with Twilight....just..wow, that was so creepy and depressing. And the mental images of all of those unicorns screaming in terror with their friends desperately trying to snap them out of it, it just made me feel so....sad. I mean, this is easily the best chapter yet to me.



What Trixie did was heartless, but I have to admit, it was actually a really good plan. I really want to see how this plays out.
I don't know how long it will take for Trixie to reach New Ponyville, but I wonder if they'll have time to get all of the unicorns to go back to normal.

This is all I can really think to say right now. I just need to take time to collect my thoughts on this whole thing.

You mean the one in the Fan Fic Artwork album that I put up for Sunset? No (Though, having read Sunset, I can perfectly understand why that one bothers everybody so much. Even though the image wasn't actually drawn for Sunset... whatever, you know what I mean). And not the one drawn as a sequel to that image by another artist that I threw into the General Pony album (which is actually pretty heartwarming, I think).

I'm talking the one with Luna in the General Pony Images album that I labeled with the caption "This is the Most Depressing Image Ever."

And I just ordered my Brony Mug. I might get some bumper stickers made up locally and stat putting them on random things (because minimum order sizes start at 1000 for about $80).

You know, I just came to a realization: I'm eventually going to have to write up the rest of the synopses for the fics in the Fan Fic Recommendation archive, and its probably going to take me several hours to do so because of all of the ones I've thrown up and not written synopses for yet.
So I should probably stop reading new fics until I get all of that backlog cleared out. And yet, I find myself not wanting to do that.


Confound these ponies, they drive me to laziness. Or reading. Whatever thing makes me sound better.






In other news, this is kind of thing that makes me hate the toy industry. Yes. That was Hasbro's original design for Celestia. The one that retailers made them change to that pink thing that is constantly mocking me whenever I look to the left of my TV.
