Globally and probably for many people, it was good, personally I believe that the good episode was the first one(A.K.A: what I read last night, and just re-read), the rest is the sort of stuff about self-esteem and so forth that I despite so much for being unrealistic, but that's just me. The exploration of the uncanny and the situation around the disabled-RD was really good(even if over dramatic at times), I specially like how the writer exposed the situations surrounding the close "relatives" or friends around the whole concept.
It's above average, but it doesn't maintain itself good enough, the ending is a let-down, but that was somehow expected. However I found in this something that I wanted to look for, even briefly it was there and that's the sort of thing that I probably wont read again, because most of the Cupcakes related stories are written by idiots(or equivalent in four letters).
I like the themes that it touches though, a good perspective point is what it is, and its what delivers, I guess that is now back to normal stories about ponies, maybe something with psychological/traumatic can be found, without going too grimmdark, hell, even shipping sometimes delivers that sort of thing.
