The 02 2 door Blazer is extremely average. The interior quality is cheap...adequate, but cheap, but it is a cheap car.
It's got some surprising bite in that V6. Not really quick, but it's quicker than it looks. And it's damn near indestructible.

Ah, see, the one I drive has an I4, and a terminally anemic one at that, which just serves to highlight how everything else about the truck is... inadequate.

Really, I think I could stand everything cheap about it (I'm not one to be bothered by hard plastics or stuff like that how car reviewers seem to be) if it weren't for the unmitigated s:censored:tfest that is the gas pedal. Seriously, why on Celestia's green Earth would you position the gas pedal so far elevated from the footwell that you have to raise your leg when moving your foot from the brake pedal to the gas? (And not doing so means you slip your foot under the gas pedal)

That's not the only Chevy I've encountered that infuriating pedal thing on, either--I've never ever seen that in any other marque.

I won't complain at that. I'm still trying to find a way to incorporate "Octo-Butt" and "Vinyl Jennifer Scratch."

I await with bated breath for the moments when both happen--make it as embarrassing as possible for all parties involved.

FYI, this a typical stretch of British B road:

Many B roads in Shropshire and Mid Wales have an infamous reputation due to the number of accidents that occur each year. This is partly down to the narrow and twisty nature of those roads.

Man, you guys are real wusses. Earlier this year, I was at a Thunderbirds airshow at a former Navy base here. Of course, when it was over, 10 thousand people in their 10 thousand cars spilled out of the airfield and onto the highway, clogging it up FOREVER. I called up a friend of mine and asked him to GPS me up a shortcut through the mountains so I could avoid the traffic.

Yes, that road is about as wide as my 01 Corolla. Barely. It turns to moss further down.

You see, a lot of mountain roads here in PR are actually My Little Pony horse trails that were paved-over many decades ago, meaning that they're about as wide as... two horses.

Thow in a few 20% grade hills and you've got yourself a normal British country lane.

Also, those Puerto Rican roads look fun. Me and my dad were in Mallorca heading up a mountain road to Cap de Formentor, (buggered Spanish spelling.)

On one side was a sheer drop that was guaranteed to kill you, given we were in a Corsa. The other side was a sheer rock face held in place by a net with falling rocks warnings everywhere.

And would you believe it, a rock fell smack onto the road in front of the car.

Couldn't swerve left or right, so to put it bluntly, my dad ended up very happy he'd taken the rental insurance on that car. Mechanic was pissing himself, though. We'd only got it from the rental place in Pollensa a twenty minute drive away.

You can't really pull over and let oncoming vehicles past if there's a hedge on both sides of the road. Many lanes have laybys that you can pull into, but if you find yourself blocked by another car, then someone has to reverse to the nearest gate entrance or layby because there is simply no other option.
