it's not about the unability to wait a day because the patch has been announced quite a while now, and most games do release patchnotes far before release.

I don't think they are making it so you can't 'cheat' in A-Spec mode. You can't get disqualified for anything else so it wouldn't make sense for that. Unless, of course, they added barricades.

It actually staggers me how bad PD is in touch with the community. I was surprised that they even gave us a release date, but people like Codemasters had a lot of issues with F1 2010, but they quickly announced that they would be working on the problem, and they gave updates on their site about what problems they would be addressing and how they were getting on. That is how it should be, and something PD should take a look at. I mean, how hard is it to get a guy to write ten lines about what the next update would contain.
I hope it is not delayed, but i suspect it will. Their seasonal events for instance, as soon as they announced that they would come regularly every week, they stopped, and no one knew anything.

we know its fixing the bug that causes GT5 to crash when your data reaches 4000 megs (roughly) in size, apart from that, no idea

I hope it includes making about 500 standard cars premium though...

In all honesty. The update won't come out tomorrow. We would have heard more about it by now if it were.

There is word that PD will be doing maintenance tonight from 10 to 11 PM EST. Possibly this is a precursor to the said update?

Like Blitz24 just said... the fact that the servers are down during the early hours of the 18th is a sign that it's coming.

It's not definite, of course, but that announcement makes it much much more likely.

No

No offence, but people getting their hopes up for what might be in this update are lining themselves up for a major disappointment. Although it might be more than we expect but the best way for me is to not expect a lot.

Each to their own though.

Edit: I could understand people having a problem if it is delayed though as the 18th of feb was confirmed for this update.
